REMOVING TOP
xOpen the top to the spyder position.
N.B.
The car can be configured in this way depending on the condition of use of the top:
1. 1. Electrically, use the open/close top switch.
Opening and closing the top electrically
2. 2. Manually, using the emergency open/close top procedure.
Manual emergency top operation

xUsing the control, move the seats fully forward and fully recline the seat backs.
xRemove the seat belt bolts from both seats
Extract the seat belts from the seats.

xOpen the cover and hold it in this position using the tool.
xRemove the front rollbar cover lid.

xUnscrew the eight screws securing the rollbar cover frame.
xRemove the frame (1) and rear lid (2) of the rollbar cover.

xRemove the two rollbar cover gaskets.
xUnscrew the four loudspeaker grille screws and remove it.

xUnscrew the two bolts securing the rear glove box and remove the front panel by pushing it towards
the car's rear side.
xWith a flat head screwdriver, detach the lower top hatch tie-rod ball joint.

xDepressurise the top's hydraulic circuit with the screw on the pump, having first removed its securing
push fitting with the special tool.
N.B.
Only use this procedure if the emergency open/close top procedure has not been applied.

xUse the special tool, to remove the four rear vertical carpet push fittings and remove it from the car.
xFrom both sides, unscrew the side screw securing the rear seat back finishing.

xFrom both sides, unscrew the lower screw securing the rear seat back finishing.
xUnscrew the four upper screws securing the rear seat back finishing from the four sides of the car.

xUnscrew the six front screws securing the rear seat back finishing.
xExtract the passing slot (1) from the slot in the rear seat back finishing (2)

xDisconnect the two emergency open/close top cable connectors from the rear glove compartment and
remove the latter from the car.
xDisconnect the parking sensor buzzer at the side of the RH speaker.
N.B.
The parking sensors are accessories available on request.

xUnscrew the four loudspeaker screws.
xDisconnect the connector and extract the loudspeaker from its mount.

xUnscrew the fastening screws for the seat belt pulley ring from the top frame.
xRemove the belt loops by unscrewing the fastening screws.

xDisconnect the pretensioner connectors.
xDetach the speaker, buzzer and pretensioner cables from their clips.

xDisonnect the top power connector pins (1) and car control connector pins (2).
xUnscrew the screws securing the the front top frame to the body and their washers. There are two
side and two centrally-located screws.

N.B.
Two earth cables are located on the LH side of the car.
xFrom the top housing bay, unscrew the two screws and disconnect the earth cables.
xMove the top to the position shown in the figure below (two operators required).
N.B.
During this procedure the special tool must be temporarily removed to allow the top to be moved
manually.

xOn each side unscrew the two side locknuts securing the top frame to the body, from inside the top
housing bay.
xDetach the 25 securing knobs using the special tool, then remove the inner cover lid.

xRemove the plastic clamps from both the pull-down motors.
xDisconnect the two connectors on each of the pull-down motors.
Detach the pull-down motor cables
