1. Read all instructions before using. Save these instructions for future reference.
2. Before connecting the kettle to the power supply, check that the voltage indicated on
the appliance (underside of the kettle) corresponds with the voltage in your home.

Notes on the cord
a) A short power-supply cord (or detached power-supply cord) is provided to reduce
risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a long cord.
b) Longer, detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and
may be used if care is exercised in their use.
c) If a long, detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used;

should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance;
II. The extension cord should be a grounding-

Know Your Electric Kettle
Using Your Electric Kettle
1.To add water in the kettle, open the lid by lifting the lid handle. Fill with the desired amount
of water to the kettle. Always fill the kettle between the minimum (0.5 L) and maximum
(1.7 L) marks. Too little water will result in the kettle

If you are using the kettle for the first time, it is recommended that you clean your kettle before use
by boiling a full kettle of water twice and then discarding the water.
NOTE: Do not fill the water over the maximum level, as water may spill out of the
spout when boiling. Ensure that the lid is firmly in place before connecting the power
cord to the power outlet.

Boil-dry protection
Should the kettle operate without water, the boil-dry protection will automatically switch the
re-boiling.
Care and cleaning
Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet and leave it to cool down completely before
cleaning.
Never immerse the kettle or cord in water, or allow moisture to come in contant with these parts.
Removal of mineral deposits
Mineral deposits in tap water may cause the kettle interior to discolour.To remove this build-up,
use a non-toxic liquid descaler.
Cleaning the filter
Remember to clean the filter damp cloth at intervals.
Alternatively:
1. Fill the kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar and add water to reach the Max level. Let stand
overnight. Do not boil.
2. Empty the solution from the kettle. Anystains remaininginside the spout can be removed by
wiping with a damp cloth. Fill the kettle with clean water, bring to boil andthen discard the water.
Repeatand the kettle is ready touse.
Cleaning external housing
Wipe the external housing with a damp cloth or cleaner.
Do not use chemical, steel, wooden or abrasive cleaners to clean the
outside of the kettle.
