IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including
the following:
1. Read all instructions before using.
2. Before connecting the kettle to the power supply, check that the voltage indicated on the
appliance (underside the kettle & base) corresponds with the voltage in your home. If this is not
the case, contact your dealer and stop using the kettle.
3. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or touch a hot surface.
4. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
5. Do not operate the appliance without anything in it to avoid damaging the heating elements.
6. Ensure that the kettle is used on a firm and flat surface out of reach of children, this will prevent
the kettle from overturning and avoid damage or injury.
7. To protect against a fire, electric shock or personal injury, do not immerse cord, electric plugs
or kettle in water or other liquids.
8. While water is boiling, or just after the water has been boiled, avoid contacting with steam
from the spout.
9. Always take care to pour boiling water slowly and carefully without tipping the kettle too fast.

10. Be careful of refilling when the kettle is hot.
11. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
12. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
13. Do not touch the hot surface. Use the handle or the button.
14. The attached base can not be used for other than its intended use.
15. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot water.
16. The appliance is not a toy. Do not let the children play with it.
17. The kettle is for household use only. Do not use outdoors.
18. The use of accessories, which are not recommended by the appliance manufacturer, may
result in fire, electric shock or personal injury.
19. Unplug the kettle from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow the kettle to
cool before cleaning the appliance.
20. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service
agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
21. To disconnect, turn any control to “o,” then remove plug from wall outlet.
22. Do not use the appliance for other than its intended use.
23. The kettle can only use with the stand provided.
24. If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may spill out.
25. Always ensure the lid is closed and do not lift it while the water is boiling. Scalding may
occur if the lid is removed when boiling.
26. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions,
or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility
for examination, repair or adjustment.
27. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
28. WARNING: Be careful to avoid any spillage on the connector during cleaning, filling or pouring.
Always follow the cleaning instruction to clean your appliance;
- Unplug the appliance.
- Do not clean the appliance while hot.
- Clean with a damp cloth or sponge.
- Never immerse the appliance in water or put it under running water.

This appliance has a polarized plug. To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is
intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If plug does not fit fully into
the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician, Do
not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
a) A short power-supply cord (or detached power-supply cord) is to be provided to
reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a long cord.
b) Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may
be used if care is exercised in their use.

4. Plug in the kettle. Push the switch down to boil. The light in the kettle will illuminate until the
boiling is completed.
5. After the boiling is completed, unplug the kettle. Lift the kettle from the power base and then
pour the water.
NOTE:
Do not fill the water over the maximum level, as water may spill out of

Before initial use
Operation
If you are using the kettle for the first time, it is recommended that you clean your kettle before use
by boiling a full kettle of water twice and then discarding the water.
1. Slot the cable around the tabs underneath the power base. Fit the power cable firmly into the
base slot, so it’s stable.
2. To fill water into the kettle: remove the kettle from the power base and open the lid by pressing
down on the lid button. Fill kettle with the desired amount of water. Always fill the kettle between
the minimum (0.5 L) and maximum (1.2 L) marks. Too little water will result in the kettle
switching o before the water is boiled.
3. Close the lid. Position the kettle on the power base in place. Make sure the kettle contacts the
power base completely.
6. The kettle may be stored on the power base when not in use.

Should you accidentally allow the kettle to operate without water, the boil-dry protection will

Mineral deposits in tap water may cause the kettle interior to discolour. To remove this
build-up, use non-toxic Liquid Descaler.
Alternatively:
1. Fill the kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar and the remainder with water to the MAX level
and allow to stand overnight. Do not boil.
2. Empty the solution from the kettle. Any stains remaining inside the spout can be
removed by rubbing with a damp cloth. Fill the kettle with clean water, bring to boil and
then discard the water. Repeat and the kettle will be ready to use.
Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet and leave it to cool down completely before
cleaning.
Never immerse the kettle or cord in any liquid, or allow moisture to contact with these parts.
Wipe the external housing with a damp cloth or cleaner.
