1.3BladeSafety
Useappropriatesteelcentered diamond bladesmanufactured foruseon concretesaws.
ALWAYS inspectdiamond bladesbeforeeachuse. Thebladeshouldexhibitno cracks, dings,
orflawsinthe steelcenteredcoreand/orrim.Center(arbor) holemustbeundamaged and
true.Examine blade flangesfordamage,excessivewearand cleanliness beforemounting
blade. Blade shouldfit snuglyon theshaft and against the inside/outside blade flanges.
Ensurethat the blade ismarked withan operating speed greaterthan theblade shaft speed of
the saw.
Onlycutthe materialthatisspecified bythe diamond blade.Read the specificationsofthe
diamond blade toensurethepropertoolhasbeen matched tothe materialbeingcut.
ALWAYSkeepblade guardsinplace.Exposureofthe diamond blade mustnotexceed180
degrees.
Ensurethatthediamond blade doesnotcomeintocontactwithground orsurfaceduring
transportation. DO NOT dropthe diamond blade on ground orsurface.
Theengine governorisdesigned topermitmaximumengine speed inano-loadcondition.
Speedsthatexceedthislimitmaycausethe diamond blade toexceedthe maximumsafe

2.1Application
Thisequipmentisdesignedfordrysawingofconcreteslabsutilizingdiamond blades.The
equipmenthasbeen engineeredforgeneralandindustrialflatsawingapplicationsthatinclude:
JointSawingofGreen Concrete,DecorativeSawinginCured Concrete,LightDemolition
Sawingand “V“GrooveBeveling.The simpleand compactnatureofthe machine makesita
perfectsawingtoolforone person tooperateand transport. The sawcombinesinnovative
features, topqualitycomponents, and acommitted attentiontostate-of-the-art manufacturing.
2.2OperatingPrinciple
Thefollowinginstructionswerecompiled toprovide youinformation on howtoobtainlongand
troublefree useof the unit. Periodicmaintenanceofthisunitisessential.Readthe manualin
itsentiretyand followthe instructionscarefully.Failuretodosomayinjureyourselfora
bystander.
2.3DeliveryChecks
Immediatelyupon takingdeliveryofyournewequipment and beforeputtingit intoservice:
Read the operation manualcompletely—itcouldsaveagreatdealofunnecessary
expense.
Read the engine manualsupplied.
Check the generalcondition ofthe equipment—hasit been damaged duringdelivery?Any
damageshouldbeimmediatelyreported tothe carrierand aclaimregistered.
Check engine oil level.
Check fuellevels.
Recommend lubricantsaredetailed inthe MAINTENANCE section.
2.4BeforeStarting
1.Read safetyinstructionsatthebeginningofmanual.
2.Usecorrect blade forcuttingconditions.
3.Clean thesaw,removingdirtand dust, particularlythe engine coolingairinlet, carburetorand
aircleaner.
4.Check the airfilterfordirtand dust. Ifairfilterisdirty,replaceairfilterwithanewone as
required.
5.Check carburetorforexternaldirt and dust. Clean withdrycompressed air.
6.Check fasteningnutsand boltsfortightness.
Setunitup inanopenarea.Avoidclose proximitytostructures orother
equipment.Failuretodo somay cause inadvertentinjurytooperatoror
otherpersonsinthearea.

2.4.1BladePlacement
1.Blade Guard –Pivotthe blade guardfrontcoverall the wayback.Theguardtension
springwill keepthe front coverinposition.
2.Blade HexNut –Unscrewthe blade shaft nut (right side loosensclockwiseand tightens
counter-clockwisewhilethe left side loosenscounter-clockwiseand tightensclockwise.
DO NOTovertighten the nut when finalizingthe assembly.
3.Outside Blade Flange(Collar) –Ensurethatthe outside blade flangeisplaced flush
againstthediamond blade. The insidesurfaceof theflangemustbefree of debrisand
permit atight closureon thesurfaceofthe blade core.
4.Diamond Blade –Ensurethattheproperdiamond bladehasbeen selectedforthejob.
Paycloseattentiontothe directionalarrowson the blade.Theblade’soperating
directionalarrowsmust point ina “down –cutting “direction toperformcorrectly.When
placingthe blade ontothe blade shaft, ensurethe arborholeofthe blade matchesthe
diameterofthe shaft.
5.InnerFlange (Collar) –Thisflangeisfixed uponthe blade shaft. Theinsidesurfaceof
the flangemust befree ofdebrisand permit atight closureon the surfaceofthe blade.

2.5ToStart
1.Open the fuelshut-offvalvebymovingthe fuelcock leveltothe open position.
2.Set theengine ON/OFF switchtothe “ON”position.
3.Gripthe recoil starterhandleandpull ituntil you feelslightresistance.Then pull sharply
and quickly. Returnthe recoil starterhandletothestartercasebeforereleasing.
4.Gripthe recoil starterhandleand pull italittletofeelaslightresistance.Then pull it
powerfullyfromthere.Toreleasethehandledo notreleaseitatthe position whereithas
been pulled to, but releaseit afterreturningcloselytothe startercase.
5.Ifthe engine hasstarted, whilelisteningtoexplosion sounds, returnthe chokeleverslowly
tofull-open position. Besuretoperformawarm-uprun forthe period 3to5minutesat low
speed, whilepayingcarefulattention togasleakageorabnormalsound.
6.Ifitisdifficulttostarttheengine byrepeatedlypulling thestarterrope,removeignition plug
and check thesparkingperformance.Ifthe plugiswetdue toexcessivefuelintakeor
soiled,replacethecoil orcleansufficientlytoitsinternals. Withthe ignition plugremoved,
pull the recoil starterhandle2-3timestodischargeexcessiveblended gas.
2.6ToStop
Stopthe engine undernormalconditions:
1.Placetheengine throttleleverintheSlowposition,andlistenfortheenginespeed to
decrease.Allowengine torun for2or3minutesforpropercooldown.
2.Turnthe engine Shutdownswitchtothe “OFF”position.
3.Turnthe engine ON/OFF switchtothe “OFF”position.
4.Placethefuelvalvelevertothe OFF position.

1.Ensuretheengine Shutdownswitchand theengineON/OFF switchon theengine are
bothinthe OFF position toavoidaccidentalstarting.
2.Placethefuelvalvelevertothe “ON“position.
3.Placethe engine Shutdownswitchandtheengine ON/OFF switchon theenginetothe
“ON “position.
4.PlacetheChock Leverinthe “CLOSED”position.
5.Rotatethethrottleleverhalfwaybetween FastandSlowforstarting.Allsawingisdone at
full throttle.The engine governorspeed isfactorysettoensureoptimumblade operating
speeds.
6.Graspthe startergripand slowlypull it out. The resistant becomesthe hardest atacertain
position, correspondingtothe compression point. Pull the startergripbrisklyand smoothly
forstarting.
7.Ifthe engine hasstarted,slowlyreturnthe chokelevertothe “OPEN”position.Ifthe
engine hasnot started repeatsteps1through5.
8.Beforethesawisplaced intooperation,runtheengine forseveralminutes. Check forfuel
leaks, andnoisesthat wouldassociatewithalooseguardsand/orcovers.
9.Rotatethe throttlelevertowardfull throttle.
10.Tobeginsawing, lowerthe rotatingblade allowingit tocut tothepresent depth.
11.When blade hasreached full cuttingdepth,slowlywalkbehind the sawataratethatwill
allowthe engine tooperatewithout losingoptimumRPM.
12.When the end ofthe cuthasbeen reached,raisetheblade outofthe cutbypullingback
on the handlebars(usingadownwardpressure)until the raise/lowerrod dropsintoitsslot
withthe blade inthe raisedposition.
13.Ifcuttingiscomplete, shut thesawdownusingthe following “ShutdownProcedures”.

2.PlacetheMFG10 Sawon astablelevelworkingsurface.
3.Ensuretheblade israised and the raise/lowerrod islocked intoposition.
4.Raisethe blade byapplingadownwardpressureonthe handlebarstoraisethe blade
and allowthe raise/lowerrod todropintothe “raised-position “slot.
5.Lift upthe blade guardcovertogainaccess tothe diamond blade.
6.Usethe provided blade nutandblade shaft lockingwrenchestoinstall the diamond blade.
7.Whileholdingthe blade shaft withthe lockingWrench,removethe blade hexnut
(clockwisedirection)and outerblade flange.
8.Removethe oldblade and install anewblade inthesamerotationaldirectionasmarked
on theblade.
9.Reinstall the outerblade flangeand hexnut. Tighten thenutfirmly(counter-clockwise
direction). DO NOTOVERTIGHTEN.
3.2BladeGuardCheck
1.CHECKthe followingon the “blade guard”:Ensurethecapacityofthe bladeguard
matchesthe diameterofyourdiamond blade.
2. Check that theguardisbolted firmlyupon the sawframe.
3.Check thatthe springtensionedfrontcoverofthe guardisfirmlyseated withthe rear
section ofthe guard,andtherearenogaps. NEVERlift the blade guardwhilecutting.
3.3V-beltAlignmentandTensioning
1.Removethe boltsthat securethe V-belt covertothe sawframe.
2.Check uniformparallelismofV-beltand pulley(sheaves).Useastraight-edgeor
machinist’ssquareagainst bothpulleysandadjust bothpulleysuntil equallyaligned.
3.DONOToverorundertighten the V-belt. Severedamagecan occurtothe sawand engine
crankshaft ifthe beltisover-tensioned.Adecreaseofpowertothe blade and poor
performancewillresult ifthe belt isunder-tensioned (looseon pulleys).
