bystanders are near.
20. Keep children and pets away when operating.
21. Do not overload the machine capacity by attempting to plow too deep or too fast.
22. Never operate the machine at high speeds on slippery surfaces. Look behind and use care
when backing up.
23. Never allow bystanders near the unit.
24. Use only attachments and accessories approved by the manufacturer of the plow.
25. Never operate the plow without good visibility or light.
26. Be careful when plowing in hard ground. The plow may catch in the ground and suddenly
stop. If this occurs, let go of the clutch lever and lift plow handles up to clear plow. Use
caution when beginning to engage the dirt with the plow.

2.8 Maintenance and Storage
1. Keep machine, attachments, and accessories in safe working conditions.
2. Check shear bolts, engine mounting bolts, and other bolts at frequent intervals for proper
tightness to be sure the equipment is in safe working condition.
3. Never store the machine with fuel in the fuel tank inside a building where ignition sources
are present, such as hot water and space heaters, clothes dryers, etc. allow the engine to
cool before storing in any enclosure.
4. Never adjust the machine or change attachment until the engine has been turned off and
the spark plug wire disconnected. Otherwise, it is possible the engine could start while
making adjustments or repair.
5. Keep engine free from accumulations of grass, leaves or excessive grease. An
accumulation of these combustible materials may result in a fire.
6. Store gasoline in safe container. Store the container in a cool, dry place not in the house
or near heating appliances.
7. Never store machine with fuel in the fuel tank inside a building where open flame or spark
are present. Allow engine to cool before storing in any enclosure.
8. Keep machine and fuel container in locked storage to prevent children from playing or
tampering with them.
9. Maximum operating results and safety can only be expected if the machine is maintained
and operated correctly.
10. Always refer to the storage instructions (Section 10) for important details if the plow is to
be stored for an extended period.

4ASSEMBLY
Prior to assembling your plow, make sure that you have a clear work space and that there are no
missing parts.
1. Remove the plow from the box. Do not attempt to lift the plow from the box. After
opening the top, cut all four sides of the box and lay the sides flat on the floor of working
space. Be VERY CAREFUL UNIT DOES NOT FALL OVER.
2. Stand unit securely on kick stand.
3. Take out all unassembled parts, parts bag, and protective packing and owner’s manuals.
4.1 Handle Assembly
1. Assemble handles to the front of the Plow Hoss (flat ends to the outside of frame) using
two 5/16 x 1” bolt and lock nuts. Insert bolts with heads inside frame. Tighten to snug fit.
2. Fasten rear handle braces in desired adjusting hole, for operator height, to the frame. For
the left side mount, start by removing the bolt from the rear belt cover bracket and use it
to mount the handle brace and bracket using the same bolt. For right handle brace, insert
one 5/16 x 1” bolt in the same hole used for adjustment as the left brace and tighten to a
snug fit.
3. Mount left handle brace and clutch cable guide to top hole of left handle, as shown
below, using one 5/16 x 1” bolt.
