away from children at all times,
preferably, in a locked cabinet.
22.Neveroperatedryer withguards
and/orpanelsremoved.
23.Donotoperate dryer with
missing or broken parts.
24.Do not bypass safety devices.
25.Keepareaaroundthe exhaust
openingand adjacent
surroundingareasfreefrom
accumulation of lint, dust, and
dirt.
26.Interiorof dryer and exhaust duct
shouldbe cleaned periodically
byqualified servicepersonnel.
27.Dryerwill not operate with
loadingdoor open.DO NOT
bypass door safety switch by
permittingdryer to operate with
dooropen.Dryer will stop
tumblingwhen door is opened.
Do not use dryer if it does not
stoptumbling when door is
openedorstarts tumbling
withoutpressing or turning the
STARTmechanism.Removethe
dryerfromuseandcall
theservice person.
28.Removelaundryimmediately
after the dryer stops.
29.ALWAYS follow the fabric care
instructions supplied by the
garmentmanufacturer.
1. Readall instructions before
usingdryer.
2. Installdryeraccording to
InstallationInstructions. Refer to
theGrounding Instructions in the
InstallationInstructions for
propergrounding ofthe dryer.
3. Do not dry articles that have
beencleanedin, washed in,
soaked in, or spotted with
gasoline,dry-cleaning solvents,
orother flammableorexplosive
substances. Vapors could ignite
orexplode.
4. Do not use dryer to dry clothes
whichhave traces of any
flammable substance, such as
vegetableoil, cooking oil,
machineoil, flammable
chemicals, thinner, etc., or
anythingcontaining wax or
chemicals, such as mops and
cleaningcloths.Flammable
substances may cause fabric to
catch fire by itself.
5. Do not store or use gasoline or
otherflammablevaporsand
liquids near this or any other
appliance.
6. Do not allow children to play on
orin dryer.Close supervision of
childrenisnecessary when
dryer is used near children, a
safetyruleforall appliances.
7. Beforedryer isremoved from
serviceordiscarded,remove
doorstodrying compartment.
8. Do not reach into dryer if
cylinderis revolving.
9. Do not install or store dryer
where it will be exposed to water
and/orweather.
10.Donot tamper with dryer
controls.
11.Do not repair or replace any part
ofdryerorattemptany service,
unlessspecifically recommended
inuser-maintenance instructions
orin publisheduser-repair
instructionsthatyouunderstand
and have skills to carry out, if you
area consumer.
12.To reduce risk of electric shock or
fire, do not use extension cords or
adapters to connect dryer to
electricalpower source.
13.Use the dryer only for its intended
purpose,dryingclothes.
14.Alwaysdisconnect dryer from
electricalsupply before
attemptingany service.
Disconnectpowercord by
grasping the plug, not the cord.
15.Do not use heat to dry articles
containingfoam rubberor
similarlytextured rubberlike
materials.
16.Always clean the lint filter after
every load.Alayer of lint in the
filterreduces drying efficiency and
prolongsdrying time.
17.Useonly fabric softeners or
products to eliminate static that
areappropriate forautomatic
dryers.
18.Keepyour dryer in good condition.
Bumpingor dropping dryercan
damagesafety features. If
damageoccurs, havedryer
checkedby qualified service
technician.
19.Replace wornpowercords and/or
looseplugs.
20.Donot tumble fiberglass curtains
anddraperies unless the label
says it can be done. If they are
dried, wipe out the cylinder with a
dampclothto remove particles of
fiberglass.
