1. REACH BEHIND THE LOWER DASH PANEL AND RELEASE THE UPPER AND LOWER TABS
HOLDING THE FAR LEFT, BLANK SWITCH KNOCK OUT. REMOVE BLANK SWITCH KNOCK
OUT. (FIGURE E)
2. CENTER PUNCH THE SWITCH KNOCKOUT 12 mm FROM EITHER SIDE AND 7 mm FROM
THE TOP. (FIGURE F)
3. CAREFULLY DRILL A 9/32” DIAMETER HOLE IN THE KNOCK OUT AT THE CENTER PUNCHED
LOCATION. (FIGURE F)
CAUTION: BE SURE NOT TO DRILL HOLE OVERSIZED.
4. PASS THE LED CONNECTOR AND WIRES THROUGH THE DRILLED HOLE FROM THE
FRONT SIDE OF THE SWITCH KNOCK-OUT. PRESS THE LED INTO THE HOLE FIRMLY
UNTIL FULLY SEATED. (FIGURE F)

BEING CAREFUL NOT TO PINCH WIRES, RE-INSTALL THE SWITCH KNOCK-OUT BY
PASSING LED CONNECTOR AND WIRES THROUGH KNOCK-OUT OPENING AND
SNAPPING KNOCK-OUT BACK INTO PLACE. (FIGURE F)
MOUNT THE DASH LED STATUS INDICATOR
2REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVERS
1. REMOVE THE (3) PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWS FROM THE LOWER STEERING COLUMN

2. INSERT A FIBER STICK BETWEEN THE COMBINATION SWITCH AND THE LOWER
COVER. GENTLY ROTATE THE FIBER STICK UNTIL TOP AND BOTTOM COVERS
SEPERATE. (FIGURE C)
3. IF EQUIPPED, GENTLY UNCLIP THE IGNITION KEY LIGHT AND REMOVE BOTH
TOP AND BOTTOM COVERS (FIGURE D) AND SET ASIDE WHERE THEY CANNOT
BE DAMAGED.

REMOVE DRIVER’S SCUFF PLATE AND LEFT KICK PANEL
1. USING A FIBER STICK, REMOVE THE DRIVER’S SIDE SCUFF PLATE BY GENTLY
PRYING UPWARD. IT IS HELD BY 4 CLIPS. (FIGURE A)
2. CAREFULLY PULL BACK WEATHERSTRIP AWAY FROM DRIVER’S KICK PANEL. USE
A FIBER STICK TO PULL OUT THE PLASTIC CENTER BUTTON OF THE PLASTIC
FASTENER AND TO DISENGAGE THE RETAINING CLIP. (FIGURE B) GENTLY PULL THE
KICK PANEL TOWARD THE CENTER OF THE VEHICLE TO REMOVE.

5MOUNT THE SECURITY MODULE
4MOUNT THE EMERGENCY OVERRIDE BUTTON
1. LOCATE THE 24-PIN CONNECTOR ON THE SECURITY SYSTEM HARNESS
AND ATTACH IT TO THE MATING 24-PIN CONNECTOR ON THE SECURITY
SYSTEM MODULE.
2. LOCATE THE 5-PIN CONNECTOR ON THE SHOCK SENSOR HARNESS
AND ATTACH IT TO THE MATING 5-PIN CONNECTOR ON THE SECURITY
SYSTEM MODULE.
NOTE: BE SURE TO ENGAGE THE 5-PIN CONNECTOR FROM THE SHOCK
SENSOR HARNESS TO THE SECURITY MODULE, NOT THE 4-PIN
CONNECTOR.
3. POSITION THE SECURITY SYSTEM MODULE ON THE STEEL DASH BRACE
AT THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE STEERING COLUMN.
4. BE SURE TO POSITION THE MODULE WHERE THE MAIN 24-PIN
CONNECTOR IS FACING TOWARD THE DRIVER’S SIDE KICK PANEL
AND THE SMALL 5-PIN CONNECTOR FACES UPWARD. (FIGURE H)
5. ATTACH THE SUPPLIED, LONG WIRE TIES IN A CRISS-CROSS MANNER,
AROUND THE MODULE AND THROUGH THE EYELETS TO ATTACH IT TO
THE STEEL DASH BRACE. (FIGURE H)
6. BE SURE BOTH WIRE TIES ARE TIGHTENED COMPLETELY, THEN TRIM
OFF EXCESS.
7. ROUTE THE SHOCK SENSOR HARNESS UPWARD AND SECURE IT TO
THE VEHICLE WIRE HARNESS WITH A SHORT WIRE TIE.
!CAUTION: DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN COVERED NUT.

2. CENTER PUNCH THE DRIVER’S KICK PANEL, EXACTLY 11 mm DOWN FROM
THE TOP AND 54 mm RIGHT OF THE LEFT EDGE OF THE FUSE PANEL DOOR.

3. CAREFULLY DRILL A 9/32” DIAMETER HOLE AT THE CENTER PUNCHED
LOCATION.
4. DISCONNECT THE EMERGENCY OVERRIDE BUTTON FROM THE SECURITY
HARNESS BY UNPLUGGING THE TWO 2-PIN WHITE CONNECTORS.
5. REMOVE THE COVERED NUT AND LOCK WASHER FROM THE EMERGENCY
OVERRIDE BUTTON AND INSERT THE BUTTON THROUGH THE DRILLED HOLE
FROM THE BACK SIDE OF THE DRIVER’S SIDE KICK PANEL.
6. REPLACE THE LOCK WASHER AND COVERED NUT AND CAREFULLY TIGHTEN
BY HAND.

PARKING LIGHT CONNECTION
MOUNT THE SHOCK SENSOR MODULE
1. POSITION THE SHOCK SENSOR MODULE ON THE VEHICLE HARNESS
TO THE RIGHT OF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, WITH THE CONNECTOR
LOCATION FACING SECURITY SYSTEM MODULE. (FIGURE I)
2. ATTACH A SUPPLIED, SHORT WIRE TIE THROUGH THE TOP MOUNTING
HOLE IN THE SHOCK SENSOR MODULE AND AROUND THE MAIN
HARNESS.
3. REPEAT STEP 2 FOR THE BOTTOM MOUNTING HOLE IN THE SHOCK
SENSOR MODULE.
4. BE SURE BOTH WIRE TIES ARE TIGHTENED COMPLETELY, THEN TRIM
OFF EXCESS.
5. LOCATE THE 4-PIN CONNECTOR ON THE SHOCK SENSOR HARNESS
AND ATTACH IT TO THE MATING 4-PIN CONNECTOR ON THE SHOCK
SENSOR MODULE.

IGNITION SWITCH CONNECTIONS
1. ROUTE THE SECURITY HARNESS WITH 6-PIN MALE AND FEMALE
IGNITION CONNECTORS WITH RED SECONDARY LOCK ALONG THE
LEFT SIDE OF THE STEERING COLUMN.
2. LOCATE THE 6-PIN WHITE IGNITION CONNECTOR, ON THE LEFT SIDE
OF THE STEERING COLUMN.
3. RELEASE THE RED SECONDARY LOCK AND DISCONNECT THE 6-PIN
WHITE IGNITION CONNECTOR BY PULLING OUTWARD. ( CAUTION:
DO NOT PULL ON WIRES TO DISCONNECT CONNECTOR.)
4. PLUG THE SECURITY HARNESS 6-PIN FEMALE CONNECTOR INTO
THE FACTORY IGNITION SWITCH AND ENGAGE THE RED SECONDARY
LOCK. (FIGURE J)
5. CONNECT THE SECURITY HARNESS 6-PIN MALE CONNECTOR INTO
THE FACTORY IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS CONNECTOR AND
ENGAGE THE RED SECONDARY LOCK. (FIGURE J)
1. LOCATE THE 17-PIN WHITE MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH ON THE LEFT
SIDE OF THE STEERING COLUMN (PLUGGED INTO THE TURN SIGNAL
ASSEMBLY). (FUGURE K)
2. USING A RAZOR KNIFE, CAREFULLY CUT BACK 1”-2” OF THE
ELECTRICAL TAPE TO EXPOSE THE WIRING. ( CAUTION: BE
EXTREMELY CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE ANY OF THE WIRES.)
3. USING (1) SUPPLIED IDC WIRE TAP, CONNECT THE WIRES LISTED
BELOW AND CRIMP THE IDC WIRE TAP IN PLACE USING PLIERS.
ENSURE THAT A COMPLETE AND SECURE CONNECTION IS MADE.
REFER TO FIGURE K & L FOR PROPER CONNECTOR AND PIN LOCATION.

MODULE.
3. PLUG THE 6-PIN FEMALE SECURITY HARNESS CONNECTOR INTO THE KEYLESS
CONTROL MODULE WHERE THE 6-PIN FEMALE VEHICLE CONNECTOR WAS JUST
DISCONNECTED.
4. PLUG THE 6-PIN MALE SECURITY HARNESS CONNECTOR INTO THE 6-PIN FE-
MALE VEHICLE CONNECTOR.
DOOR TRIGGER CONNECTION
1. LOCATE THE 27-PIN CONNECTOR AT THE KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE IN
THE DRIVER’S KICK PANEL. (FIGURE M)
2. USING A RAZOR KNIFE, CAREFULLY CUT BACK 1”-2” OF THE ELECTRICAL
TAPE TO EXPOSE THE WIRING. ( CAUTION: BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL

1. LOCATE THE 2-PIN WHITE CONNECTOR ON THE SECURITY HARNESS.
2. LOCATE THE 2-PIN WHITE CONNECTOR FROM THE EMERGENCY OVERRIDE
BUTTON, WHICH WAS PREVIOUSLY MOUNTED IN THE DRIVER’S KICK PANEL,
AND PLUG IT INTO THE 2-PIN WHITE CONNECTOR FROM THE SECURITY

3. RE-INSTALL THE DRIVER’S KICK PANEL BY ENGAGING THE RETAINING CLIP
ON THE PANEL. RE-INSTALL THE PLASTIC FASTENER AND REPLACE THE

SYSTEM POWER-UP
1. VERIFY THAT ALL CONNECTIONS ARE SECURE AS PER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS.
NOTE:
BE SURE THE ROOM FUSE IS INSTALLED IN THE FUSE PANEL.
2. RECONNECT THE NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL.
3. IF THE HORN IS BEEPING AND THE PARKING LIGHTS FLASHING, TURN THE IGNITION TO THE ON POSITION AND PRESS THE EMERGENCY
OVERRIDE BUTTON LOCATED ON THE DRIVER’S KICK PANEL TO DISARM THE SYSTEM.
4. ENSURE THE IGNITION IS IN THE OFF POSITION BEFORE PROCEDING TO THE FUNCTION TEST.

1. CLOSE ALL DOORS, THEN PRESS THE LOCK BUTTON ON THE KEYLESS ENTRY TRANSMITTER TO LOCK ALL DOORS.
a. THE HORN BEEPS (1) TIME.
b. THE PARKING LIGHTS FLASH (1) TIME.
c. THE RED LED STATUS INDICATOR BEGINS BLINKING (@ 1 BLINK PER SECOND).
2. MANUALLY UNLOCK AND OPEN THE DRIVER’S DOOR.
a. THE HORN BEEPS ON AND OFF.
b. THE PARKING LIGHTS FLASH ON AND OFF.
c. THE RED LED FLASHES (3) TIMES...PAUSE AND REPEATS CONTINUALLY.
3. PRESS THE UNLOCK BUTTON ON THE KEYLESS ENTRY TRANSMITTER TO UNLOCK THE DRIVER’S DOOR.
a. THE HORN BEEPS (4) TIMES.
b. THE PARKING LIGHTS FLASH (4) TIMES.
c. THE RED LED FLASHES (3) TIMES...PAUSE AND REPEATS CONTINUALLY.
4. TURN THE IGNITION TO THE RUN POSITION, THEN BACK TO THE OFF POSITION. REMOVE THE KEY, IF APPLICABLE.
a. THE RED LED TURNS OFF.
5. CLOSE ALL DOORS, THEN LOCK THE DOORS USING THE DRIVER’S SIDE DOOR KEY CYLINDER.
a. THE HORN BEEPS (1) TIME.
b. THE PARKING LIGHTS FLASH (1) TIME.
c. THE RED LED STATUS INDICATOR BEGINS BLINKING (@ 1 BLINK PER SECOND).
6. USE THE DRIVER’S DOOR KEY CYLINDER TO UNLOCK THE DRIVER’S DOOR.
a. THE HORN BEEPS (2) TIMES.
b. THE PARKING LIGHTS FLASH (2) TIMES.
c. THE RED LED STATUS INDICATOR TURNS OFF.
7. ENTER THE VEHICLE AND CLOSE THE DRIVER’S DOOR.
8. PRESS THE LOCK BUTTON ON THE KEYLESS ENTRY TRANSMITTER.
a. THE HORN BEEPS (1) TIME.
b. THE PARKING LIGHTS FLASH (1) TIME.
c. THE RED LED STATUS INDICATOR BEGINS BLINKING (@ 1 BLINK PER SECOND).

9. ATTEMPT TO START THE VEHICLE BY TURNING THE IGNITION TO THE START POSITION.
a. THE STARTER WILL NOT ENGAGE.
10. TURN THE IGNITION TO THE RUN POSITION, PRESS THE EMERGENCY OVERRIDE BUTTON AND RE-ATTEMPT TO START THE VEHICLE.
a. THE SECURITY SYSTEM DISARMS AND THE VEHICLE STARTS.
11. TURN THE IGNITION TO THE OFF POSITION AND PRESS THE LOCK BUTTON ON THE KEYLESS ENTRY TRANSMITTER.
a. THE HORN BEEPS (1) TIME.
b. THE PARKING LIGHTS FLASH (1) TIME.
c. THE RED LED STATUS INDICATOR BEGINS BLINKING (@ 1 BLINK PER SECOND).
12. PRESS THE POWER DOOR LOCK SWITCH TO THE UNLOCK POSITION SEVERAL TIMES.
a. THE SECURITY SYSTEM DOES NOT DISARM.
13. OPEN THE PASSENGER’S DOOR.
a. THE HORN BEEPS ON AND OFF.
b. THE PARKING LIGHTS FLASH ON AND OFF.
c. THE RED LED FLASHES 3 TIMES...PAUSE AND REPEATS CONTINUALLY.

14. PRESS THE UNLOCK BUTTON ON THE KEYLESS ENTRY TRANSMITTER TO UNLOCK THE DRIVER’S DOOR.

16. EXIT THE VEHICLE, CLOSE ALL DOORS, THEN PRESS THE LOCK BUTTON ON THE KEYLESS ENTRY TRANSMITTER TO LOCK ALL DOORS.
a. THE HORN BEEPS (1) TIME.
b. THE PARKING LIGHTS FLASH (1) TIME.

1. WAIT 10 SECONDS, USING AN OPEN HAND, LIGHTLY SLAP THE PASSENGER SIDE A-PILLAR USING APPROXIMATE FORCE OF A BASKETBALL
BOUNCING AGAINST THE VEHICLE.
a. HORN BEEPS (7) TIMES.
2. WAIT 10 SECONDS, USING AN OPEN HAND, LIGHTLY SLAP THE DRIVER’S SIDE A-PILLAR USING APPROXIMATE FORCE OF A BASKETBALL

a. HORN BEEPS (7) TIMES.
ATTENTION !!! IF THE ALARM TRIGGERED DURING EITHER STEP 1 OR 2, THE SENSITIVITY OF THE SHOCK SENSOR MUST BE TURNED DOWN. USE
A SMALL SCREWDRIVER AND TURN THE SENSITIVITY KNOB ON THE SHOCK SENSOR IN A COUNTERCLOCKWISE DIRECTION, THEN RE-TEST.

REPLACE DRIVER’S SCUFF PLATE
1. RE-INSTALL THE DRIVER’S SIDE SCUFF PLATE BY ENGAGING ALL (4) CLIPS.

18 REPLACE STEERING COLUMN COVERS
1. PLUG THE IGNITION KEY LIGHT, IF EQUIPPED, BACK INTO THE LOWER STEERING
COLUMN COVER (FIGURE U) AND CAREFULLY SNAP THE STEERING COLUMN
COVER HALVES BACK TOGETHER. (FIGURE V)
2. RE-INSTALL THE (3) PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWS. VERIFY OPERATION OF THE TILT
STEERING WHEEL. (FIGURE V)

FINALIZING THE INSTALLATION
1. ATTACH A SUPPLIED, SHORT WIRE TIE AROUND THE SECURITY HARNESS AND THE VEHICLE HARNESS TO DRAW THE SECURITY HARNESS
UPWARD AND OUT OF THE WAY.
2. PLACE THE SYSTEM OWNER’S MANUAL AND WALLET CARD INTO THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT.
3. APPLY THE WINDOW WARNING DECALS TO THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE WINDOWS. WITH EACH WINDOW FULLY CLOSED, POSITION
THE DECAL ON THE INSIDE GLASS SURFACE, APPROXIMATELY 1” ABOVE THE WINDOW DOOR SEAL AND 3” FORWARD OF THE TRAILING
EDGE OF THE WINDOW. BE CAREFUL HANDLING THE DECALS TO AVOID CONTACT WITH THE ADHESIVE SIDE OF THE DECAL, AS THIS WILL
LEAVE A PERMANENT FIGERPRINT BETWEEN THE DECAL AND GLASS PANEL.
4. NOTE: AFTER REASSEMBLING THE VEHICLE PARTS, CHECK FOR ANY DIRT. CLEAN ANY DIRTY PARTS.
5. NOTE: AFTER COMPLETING THE INSTALLATION, REFER TO THE VEHICLE OWNER’S MANUAL FOR INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO RESET THE
CLOCK AND PRESET RADIO STATIONS.
6. CAUTION: DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY MAY CAUSE THE DSC INDICATOR LIGHT TO BECOME INOPERABLE. (THE DSC OFF INDICATOR
LIGHT FLASHES AND THE TCS/DSC INDICATOR LIGHT IS ILLUMINATED.)
PERFORM THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE TO RESTORE THE DSC TO AN OPERABLE CONDITION, IF APPLICABLE:
a. START THE VEHICLE WITH THE KEY.
b. TURN THE STEERING WHEEL COMPLETELY TO THE RIGHT AND THEN COMPLETELY TO THE LEFT.
c. VERIFY THAT THE DSC OFF INDICATOR LIGHT TURNS OFF.
d. TURN THE IGNITION SWITCH TO THE OFF POSITION AND THEN TURN IT TO THE ON POSITION AGAIN.
e. VERIFY THAT THE TCS/DSC INDICATOR LIGHT TURNS OFF.
7. CAUTION: WHEN THE BATTERY IS DISCONNECTED, THE WINDOWS MAY NOT FULLY OPEN AND CLOSE AUTOMATICALLY.
PERFORM THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE TO THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER FRONT WINDOWS TO RESUME OPERATION, IF APPLICABLE:
a. TURN THE IGNITION SWITCH TO THE ON POSITION.
b. PRESS DOWN THE WINDOW SWITCH ON THE FRONT PASSENGER’S SIDE DOOR PANEL AND FULLY OPEN THE WINDOW.
c. PULL UP THE WINDOW SWITCH ON THE FRONT PASSENGER’S SIDE DOOR PANEL AND CONTINUE HOLDING FOR APPROXIMATELY 3
SECONDS TO FULLY CLOSE THE WINDOW.
d. PRESS DOWN BOTH FRONT WINDOW SWITCHES ON THE DRIVER’S DOOR PANEL AND FULLY OPEN THE WINDOWS.
e. PULL UP BOTH FRONT WINDOW SWITCHES ON THE DRIVER’S DOOR PANEL AND CONTINUE HOLDING FOR APPROXIMATELY 3 SECONDS
TO FULLY CLOSE THE WINDOWS.
f. TURN THE IGNITION SWITCH TO THE OFF POSITION.

SHUT DOOR.
TURN IGNITION KEY OFF.
CHECK PIN #9 ON MODULE 24-PIN CONNEC-
TOR FOR +12VDC WHEN LOCK IS PRESSED
ON THE KEYLESS ENTRY TRANSMITTER.
CHECK 6-PIN CONNECTOR AT KEYLESS
CONTROL MODULE IF VOLTAGE IS NOT
PRESENT.
CHECK PIN #6 ON MODULE 24-PIN CONNEC-
TOR FOR +12VDC WHEN UNLOCK IS
PRESSED ON THE KEYLESS ENTRY
TRANMITTER.
CHECK 6-PIN CONNECTOR AT KEYLESS
CONTROL MODULE IF VOLTAGE IS NOT
PRESENT.
PROBABLE CAUSE
FUSE MISSING OR BLOWN.
6-PIN CONNECTOR AT KEYLESS CONTROL
MODULE NOT CONNECTED.
KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM IS NOT FUNCTION-
ING.
MODULE NOT RECEIVING POWER.
MODULE NOT RECEIVING GROUND.

DOOR OPEN.
