INTRODUCTION
The McLaren Sports Series breaks new ground into a
segment not previously occupied by McLaren, bringing our
technological advances to a new audience.
Styling is immediately recognisable as part of the McLaren
family. The distinctive design plays a key role in delivering a
pure McLaren driving experience, from aerodynamic
performance through to great visibility.
The McLaren Sports Series has been designed around an all
new carbon fibre MonoCell II. As with every McLaren this
forms the core of our cars.
The McLaren Sports Series is available as either a 540C, 570S
or 570GT specification. Striking design features such as the
Flying Buttress aid aerodynamics and concave rear window
both feature on Coupé. P1™inspired doors are a feature
across the Sports Series family and provide excellent cooling
performance whilst keeping drag to a minimum.
The McLaren Sports Series is fitted with a 3.8 litre twin-
turbocharged V8, producing 540PS and 540Nm within the
540C and 570PS and 600Nm within the 570S and 570GT
models. Power is transferred through to the road via our
McLaren 7-speed Seamless Shift Gearbox, incorporating
dual clutches to deliver instantaneous gear changes. The
powertrain system and incredibly capable vehicle
architecture combine to deliver class leading performance.
A suite of new optional content is available for the
McLaren Sports Series. The interior trim choices provide a
wide range of personalisation opportunities, including
Carbon fibre components that reduce weight and create a
sporty ambience, while a raft of technology based options
improve day to day usability. Additionally, a luxury
direction can be achieved with options such as the Bowers
and Wilkinson audio system and the ‘By McLaren’ designer
range of interiors. All combined, the vast array of options
allow for a car to be tailored to the customer’s individual
needs and wants.

EXTERIOR –STANDARD FEATURES
Flying Buttress
Form follows function; this aerodynamic aid
primarily cancels out lift created by the
roof. In addition, this also improves engine
cooling.
McLaren M838TE
540PS (533BHP) / 570PS (562BHP)
3.8-litre Twin Turbo variants of the
M838T family of engines. Quick
engine response, good efficiency and
a superb soundtrack are all Sports
Series trademarks. ‘E’ is for evolution.
Adaptive Dampers
Adaptive dampers mean the Sports
Series is equally at home in urban or
on track environments. 570S models
receive further tuning with the
emphasis on performance.
Aluminium Body Panels
Aluminium has been utilised for its
low weight but also the intricate
designs that can be achieved. The
complex rear deck is achieved by a
process called Superforming.
New Carbon Fibre MonoCell II
A carbon fibre chassis weighing 75KG
(165lb) provides exceptional strength.
A low sill height and optimised door
sweep makes getting in and out easy.

Door Design
The intricate P1™inspired door
design plays a significant part in
cooling the powertrain and also
conceals the door button.
Rear Diffuser
For all models a flat under-floor
maximises the effect of the diffuser.
For 570S models only there are more
fences for a further performance
enhancement (available in CF as an
option).
Floating rear body panels
Surrounding the L.E.D rear lights, the
fenders on the Sports Series give the
illusion of floating as they meet the
rear deck and built in rear spoiler.
Superforming Rear Deck / Rear Window / Engine Bay
Intricate detailing on the rear deck is achieved as a result of
a process called Superform (hot aluminium blown into
shape over a mould). A striking concave rear window
features as does an exposed engine bay for efficient heat
evacuation.
EXTERIOR –STANDARD FEATURES
Wheels
For all Sports Series wheel size is 19”
front and 20”rear. 540C has cast
wheels as standard and 570S benefits
from forged wheels (offering a weight
saving) and a different design.
Pirelli Tyres
540C models come with Pirelli P
Zero™ Tyres as standard while 570S
models receive the performance
focused Pirelli P Zero Corsa™ Tyres.

Carbon Fibre Exterior Options
CF options include; side intakes,
mirror casing, front aero blades, rear
diffuser and side skirts (most of which
offer a 50% weight saving vs. the
original component). These can be
selected individually or as part of a
pack (see below for packs and
availability)
Lightweight Wheels
Optional 5-spoke Lightweight Forged
and Super Lightweight Forged wheel
designs are available in either a Silver,
Stealth or Diamond Cut finish. (See
specific section for availability).

Exhaust
Both 540C and 570S have their own
unique Sportscar sound as standard.
An optional Sport Exhaust on 540C
provide standard 570S noise levels (+3
dB). The optional Sports Exhaust on
570S takes things yet further (+2 dB).

INTERIOR –STANDARD FEATURES
Enhanced Visibility
The driver can only get the maximum
from the car once they feel confident
and visibility is key to this. The A-
pillars have been moved further
outboard while compressed B pillars
improve rear visibility as does mirror
position.
IRIS
For Sports Series IRIS is revised and
now features integrated heating and
ventilation controls as per P1™. The 7
inch interface controls the standard
DAB or SIRIUS radio, Satellite
Navigation, Bluetooth and Audio
Media player with Auxiliary and USB
(x3) connections.
TFT LCD Instrument Cluster
This new digital instrument cluster
provides super clear information and
includes features such as ‘Turn-by-
turn’ navigation information and a
race car type display when in Track
mode similar to that found in P1™.
Interior Trim
540C has a standard Leather Interior that is
available in three colour themes. The 570S
benefits from an Extended Leather Interior
available in four colour themes.
Stowage Space
Sports Series benefits from concealed in-door stowage,
glove box (excluding federal) and a stowage bin under
the armrest. The new centre console provides
enhanced stowage for loose items and a cup holder.

Interior Brightwork
The brightwork of the interior comes
in a Satin Chrome finish or optional
Smoked Chrome (available MY17
Coupé). The main components in this
pack are; air vent bezels, centre
console surround (upper and lower),
handling and powertrain controls,
seatbelt escutcheon and interior light
surround.
Tailored Interiors Options
In addition to 540C Leather Interior
and 570S Extended Leather Interior
(optional on 540C) there are four
further optional trim levels. All
feature Nappa Leather or Nappa
Leather and Alcantara. The range
culminates in the ‘By McLaren’
designer interiors. These 10 unique
interiors showcase the very best
Sports Series has to offer.
Carbon Fibre Interior Components
The CF interior components pack includes the
steering wheel spokes, extended paddles and
switch pack surrounds replacing the Black
Sparkle metallic finish. As separate items the
door insert and transmission tunnel can also be
specified in Carbon Fibre. A full Carbon Fibre
upgrade pack encompasses all of the above.
Racing Seats
Carbon Fibre Racing Seats based on
those featured in P1™are available as
an option in two sizes. These fixed
back manually adjustable seats offer a
substantial 15Kg (34lb) weight saving
and the provision for harnesses.
In Car Entertainment
The standard audio system provides four speakers.
As an option, an 8-speaker plus audio system and
top of the range Bowers & Wilkins system are
available. The Bowers and Wilkins system features
a distinctive Nautilus tweeter mounted centrally
on top of the facia offering class leading power
and precision.
