2 DESCRIPTION OF STANDARD CYCLE
The standard cycle comprises:
• one or more pre-rinses
• one wash cycle
• one cold or lukewarm rinse
• one hot rinse
• one drying cycle (see attached line drawing)
The pre-rinses remove larger food particles and are run with 5 grammes of
detergent. In cycles such as the intense wash, the pre-rinse will be heated.
The wash cycle is the stage in which food particles are removed through the
action of the enzymatic detergent and temperatures reached.
The rinse cycles eliminate any remaining dirt from plates as well as
preparing them for drying by dispensing the rinse aid and taking the
temperature over 60°C.
1. Chart 1 shows the temperatures reached throughout the cycle and when
the heating element switches on and off to reach the required temperature.
You will see the cold pre-rinse, wash with gradually increasing temperature
and hot-rinse stages.

3.4 Duo Wash cycle
3.5 Auto Wash cycle
The auto cycle is the programme that enables the dishwasher to select the
best cycle for the soil level of the dishes.
The turbidity sensor is critical to the performance of this cycle. (see relative
section)
The sensor can distinguish soil values from 245 (completely clean water) to 0
(completely dirty water). The software powering the card can discriminate 10
different soil levels that correspond to the 10 dishwasher programmes.
As illustrated in the attached table (stages, times and temperatures table), the
dishwasher always carries out the 1st pre-rinse. This is necessary to clear the
tub of any residues from previous cycles, especially rinse aid.
The sensor measures the soil level at the start of the second stage. If the soil
reading is medium-high, the electronic control orders a second pre-rinse; if
the soil reading is low, the control skips the second pre-rinse and starts the
main wash cycle.
Depending on where the soil value falls within the sensor's range, the
software continues to alter the maximum wash temperature and the times
these temperatures are maintained during the pre-rinse, wash and rinse
cycles.
In the Auto Wash programme the dishes can be loaded at random in both
racks.

The Filter Cleaning cycle can be started in two ways:
•if the pressure switch contacts do not close after water has filled i.e.
during the 2-minute pressure switch control, the filters will be cleaned.
•during each stage of the wash cycle, if the pressure sensor contacts stay
reset for at least 5 seconds.
