Use of this product is recommended for domestic and commercial applications.
All pipework must be thoroughly flushed prior to the installation of the mixer.
Inline filter washers must be installed on both hot and cold supplies to prevent foreign particles
damaging the ceramic cartridge.
Do not remove the ceramic cartridge from the mixer when installing.
Methven recommends a licensed plumber carry out all installations in compliance with
the requirements of AS/NZS 3500. This product complies with AS/NZS 3718 regulations.

Installation
Tip: Install product on bench before
connecting second hose to mixer.
1. Cut a single 35mm diameter hole into
the mounting surface.
2. Insert o-ring into the groove in the
bottom of the base ring, fit the base
ring to the bottom of the mixer and
connect hose.
3. Feed the mixer’s hose through the hole
cut in the mounting surface.
4. Position the mixer where required and
connect twin stud fixing kit. Tighten in
place from under the mounting
surface.
5. Insert the remaining flexible hose
through the hole in the mounting
surface (from the underside) and screw
it into the base of the mixer.
6. Connect the flexible hoses to the hot
and cold supplies (hot on the left, cold
on the right).
Note: It is recommended that inline
filter washers supplied are fitted
during this connection.

Operating Pressure: 150kPa - 500kPa
For optimum performance hot and cold water pressures should be equal.
AS/NZS 3500 stipulates a 500kPa maximum operating pressure at any outlet
within a building. Where normal pressure exceeds 500kPa, a pressure limiting
valve must be installed.
This basin mixer is rated at 7.5l/m. If limited water flow is experienced, locate
stream shaper flow restricting device and filter washers and clean away foreign
material as required.
Operating Temperature: Recommended hot water supply 50°C, maximum 70°C. AS/NZS 3500 requires all
hot water supplies to any sanitary fitting to be tempered to 50°C.
Ceramic cartridges: The ceramic cartridge can be damaged due to the presence of the following within
the water supply:
Copper tube pieces
Plastic pieces
Sand, dirt or stones
Thread tape
Other objects not normally present in the potable water supplies
Hose Requirement for Mixers
Do not hydrostatic test* the installation with this mixer installed. Damage to the ceramic cartridge may occur.
•Hydrostatic testing refers to placing the system under pressure, above the recommended operating pressure, to
determine water tightness and to uncover leaks or weak joints within the system.
Care and Cleaning
Never use abrasives to clean this product. Clean regularly with contamination free warm soapy water
and a damp soft cloth.

Installation
1. Leave plastic tiling guide in place.
2. Screw the body assembly (1) on to the
mounting stud positioned to observe the
installation depth, ID (to front of finished
wall lining e.g. tiles) range as follows:
Range of Install Depth, ID = 42 to 62 mm
Note: Two sizes of half dome (5 & 6) are
supplied:
Long dome (6) for 42-52 mm
Short dome for (5) for 52-62 mm
3. Connect body assembly (1) into system.
4. Cut holes in lining as pictured.
5. Trim the brass nipple (10) to 15 +/- 2mm
protruding from finished wall lining.
Lubricate the o-ring in the faceplate (2).
Place the faceplate (2) over the the body
assembly (1) until flat on the finished wall
surface. Screw the faceplate (2) into the
fixing ring using the screws provided (10).
6. Fit inner dome (7) onto cartridge spindle. Fit
o-ring (7) and appropriate half dome
(5) or (6) over the body assembly
(1). Fit handle (8) and fasten grub
screw with 2.5mm hex key (9). Screw
on the brass connector (3) and ensure a seal
with Teflon tape or similar. Push spout (4)
into place over brass connector (3) and lock
into place by tightening with the 2.5mm
hex key supplied (9). Place handle (8) onto
mixer and fasten grub screw with 2.5mm hex
key supplied (9).
Note: Do not rotate spout against faceplate
to avoid scratching.

Installation
1. Screw the body assembly (1) on to the
mounting stud positioned to observe
installation depth, ID (to front of finished
wall lining e.g. tiles) as follows:

Note: Two sizes of half dome (5 & 6) are

2. Connect body assembly (1) into system
and replace body assembly cover.
3. Cut hole in lining as pictured.
4. Wall lining e.g. tiles should be finished as
close as possible to the plastic template.
Remove plastic template prior to next
step.
5. Lubricate the o-ring in the faceplate
(2). Place faceplate (2) over mixer body
and slide firmly over the mixer body
until flat on the wall surface with the
faceplate’s (2)drain slot at the bottom. It
is recommended that a bead of silicone
sealant is applied to the back of the
faceplate before fixing to the finished wall
surface.
6. Push inner dome (3) onto cartridge
spindle, fit o-ring (4) and appropriate half
dome (5 or 6) over the body assembly (1)
and align to the form of the faceplate.
Fit handle (7) and fasten grub screw with
2.5mm hex key (8).

NOTE: Two sizes of half
dome (5 & 6) are supplied:
Long dome (6) for 56-63mm
Short dome: (5) for 63-74mm
2. Connect body assembly (1) into system and
replace body assembly cover.
3. Cut holes in lining as pictured.
4. Remove plastic template prior to fitting the
faceplate (2).
5. Lubricate the o-ring in the faceplate (2).
Place faceplate (2) over mixer body and
slide firmly over the mixer body until flat on
the wall surface. It is recommended that
a bead of silicone sealant is applied to the
back of the faceplate before fixing to the
finished wall surface.

underside of the base ring and fit to
base of mixer.
3. Feed the mixer’s tails and the one
fitted hose through the hole cut in the
mounting surface.
4. Screw in all-thread studs and second
supply hose into the base of the mixer.
5. Fit triangular spacer (optional)
followed by clamp plate.
6. Secure in place with brass mounting
nuts.
7. Connect the flexible hoses to the hot
and cold supplies (Hot on left, Cold on
right).
Note: It is recommended that the in-
line filter washers supplied are fitted
during this connection.

Installation
Tip: Install product on bench before
connecting second hose to mixer.
1. Cut a single 35mm diameter hole into
the mounting surface. The mounting
surface can be a maximum of 40mm
thick.
2. Insert o-ring (3) into the groove in the
bottom of the mixer (1).
3. Feed the mixer’s (1) threaded
fastening tube through the hole cut in
the mounting surface.
4. Position the mixer (1) as desired and
fit the rubber washer (4) over
the threaded fastening tube. Tighten
the mounting nut (5) in place using
the tube spanner (9) from under the
mounting surface.
5. Insert the flexible hoses (7) through
the hole in the mounting surface (from
the underside) and screw them into
the base of the mixer body (1).
6. Connect the flexible hoses to the hot
and cold supplies (hot on the left,
cold on the right).
Note: It is recommended that the
inline filter washers supplied are
fitted during this connection.
7. Fit “pop-up” waste outlet (B) into
Bidet bowl.
8. Remove side nut (C) and insert rod
with ball (D). Fit washer supplied and
replace side nut (C).
9. Join extension rod (E) to “pop-up”
lever (A) under bowl.
10. Using “universal joint” provided (F)
join and adjust rods to maintain
“pop-up” action.

Note: It is the responsibility of the installer to ensure a water proof seal
is achieved between the faceplate and the finished surface of the wall.
If in any doubt about the quality of the seal, the faceplate should be re-
moved and then reinstalled using silicone to ensure a seal is achieved.

Installation
1. Screw the breech set (1) into
the mounting stud. Refer to
illustration 1. for minimum and
maximum tolerances. Plumb
the breech set (1) into system.
2. A hole diameter of 35mm will
be required for correct head
works (2) installation and a
hole diameter of 25mm will be
required for correct spout (8)
installation.
3. Screw head works (2) into
breech (1).
4. Trim brass nipple (3) to length
with a max 15mm protruding
from wall lining.
5. Place the faceplate (6) over
the brass nipple (3) and
head works (2). Ensure that
faceplate (4) is flush with wall
surface It is recommended that
a clear bead of silicone sealant
is applied on the back of the
faceplate (4) before fixing to
finished wall surface.
6. Fit inlet connector (5) to brass
nipple (3) and place spout over
inlet connector (8).
7. Tighten with a 2.5mm hex key
(9).
8. Screw locking nut (6) and
handle base ring (10) over
spindle/head works (2).
9. Place handle (7) onto spindle
and fasten with a 2.5mm hex
key (9).

Operating Pressure: 150kPa - 500kPa
For optimum performance hot and cold water pressures should be equal.
AS/NZS 3500 stipulates a 500kPa maximum operating pressure at any outlet
within a building. Where normal pressure exceeds 500kPa, a pressure limiting
valve must be installed.
The basin set is rated at 7.5l/m. If limited water flow is experienced, locate
stream shaper flow restricting device and filter washers and clean away foreign
material as required.
Operating Temperature: Recommended hot water supply 50°C, maximum 70°C. AS/NZS 3500 requires all
hot water supplies to any sanitary fitting to be tempered to 50°C.
Ceramic Head Works: Ceramic head works can be damaged by the presence of the following within the
water supply:
Copper tube pieces
Plastic pieces
Sand, dirt or stones
Thread tape
Other objects not normally present in the potable water supplies

nipple (3) and place spout (10)
over inlet connector (6).

Note: Maximum hole diameter through wall for 1/2” BSP tube is 22mm.
1. Trim brass nipple to length with a max 22mm +-2mm protruding from wall lining. Screw into body with
teflon tape.
2. Place the faceplate over the brass nipple, ensuring faceplate is flush with the wall surface. It is
recommended that a bead of clear silicone sealant is applied on the back of the faceplate before fixing to
finished wall surface.
3. Fit inlet connector to brass nipple and place spout over inlet connector. Tighten with an 2.5mm hex key.
Note: Do not turn outlet against faceplate to avoid marking.
