II. Connections
1. Begin by removing the license plate bolts and the license plate,
then install the camera. Replace plate and bolts.
2. Connect the RED wire to the +12 volt reverse wire.
NOTE: If not connected to the reverse signal in the vehicle, the
LEDs will be on at all times. LEDs turn on with camera power.
3. Connect the BLACK wire to ground (a metal, non-painted surface).
4. Run the video cable through the vehicle, up to the video display.
(Avoid placing video cable where it can get pinched or damaged)
5. Attach the YELLOW video RCA to the reverse camera input on the
display. If reverse signal was connected in the rear of the vehicle,
there is a red wire on the yellow RCA to provide the same +12 volt
signal to the display if needed. If not needed please tape up as 12
volts is present when vehicle is in reverse and can damage the
camera if this wire touches ground.
NOTE: The camera needs to be angled down 30-40 degrees for proper
functionality. This may inhibit the use of a license plate frame around the
plate.
