Mit dieser Fernbedienung können Sie AV-Geräte von
verschiedenen Herstellern, zB. DVD-Player, Set-Top-Box
und AUXiliari (z.B. Audio-Verstärker) steuern.

1 Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Mit dieser Fernbedienung können Sie Metz TV-Geräte und am
TV-Gerät angeschlossenen AV-Geräten in ihren Grundfunktionen
steuern.
2 Sicherheitshinweise
Fernbedienung nicht direkt vor die Augen halten und eine Taste
drücken ! Infrarotlicht!
Die verwendeten Batterien dürfen nicht übermäßiger Wärme wie
Sonnenschein, Feuer oder dergleichen ausgesetzt werden!
• In das Batteriefach der Fernbedienung dürfen keine Akkus einge-
legt werden. Es dürfen nur 2 Stück Batterien LR03/AM4/AAA 1,5V
Micro verwendet werden.
3 Die Fernbedienung
Die Fernbedienung übermittelt die Steuerbefehle per Infrarotlicht
zum TV-Gerät bzw. zum AV-Gerät und muss immer zum Gerät
gerichtet sein.
Andere Infrarotgesteuerte Geräte oder Systeme (z.B. Infrarot-Kopf-
hörer) im Wirkungsbereich können gestört werden.
Direkte Sonneneinstrahlung auf das TV-Gerät kann zu Störungen
führen, weil das TV-Gerät bzw. das AV-Gerät die Infrarotsignale der
Fernbedienung nicht richtig erkennt. Damit das TV-Gerät bzw. das
AV-Gerät mit der Fernbedienung gesteuert werden kann, darf es
nicht mit der Netztaste ausgeschaltet sein.
Die Hersteller der verschiedenen AV-Geräte verwenden unterschied-
liche Frequenzen für das Infrarotlicht ihrer Fernbedienung.
Die Frequenzen der Hersteller sind nahezu alle in dieser Fernbedie-
nung gespeichert.
Um eine dieser Frequenzen zu aktivieren müssen Sie einen 4 stel-
ligen Code entsprechend der folgenden Gerätecodelisten eingeben.
Die Fernbedienung kann dann verschiedene externe AV-Geräte in
Ihren Grundfunktionen steuern.
Diese Fernbedienung ersetzt nicht die Systemfernbedienung
Ihres AV-Gerätes.
Die Taste kann für die Grundbedienung von DVD-Player bzw.
Blu-ray Player programmiert werden.
Die Taste kann für die Grundbedienung von Set-Top-Boxen
(SAT-Empfänger, Tuner, Kabelreceiver, etc.) programmiert werden.
Die Taste kann für die Grundbedienung von Audioverstärker
programmiert werden.
Werksseitig sind die Tasten , , und
deaktiviert.
3.1 Aktivieren der Tasten
Zum Aktivieren der einzelnen Tasten gehen Sie wie folgt vor (im
Beispiel anhand der Taste ):
• Drücken Sie die Taste und gleichzeitig und halten
Sie diese ca. 3 Sek. gedrückt.
Die Tasten , , und blinken 3x langsam.
Die Taste ist aktiviert.
Kontrolle:
Wenn Sie die Taste drücken, leuchtet diese und Sie können
Ihren DVD-Player bzw. Blu-ray Player programieren.


3.2 Deaktivieren der Tasten
Deaktivierung der Taste :
• Drücken Sie die Taste und gleichzeitig und halten Sie
diese ca. 3 Sek. gedrückt. Die Tasten , , und
blinken 3x schnell.
Kontrolle:
Wenn Sie die Taste drücken, leuchtet diese nicht und hat
somit keine Funktion mehr.
Selbiges Vorgehen gilt dann auch für die Tasten und .
3.3 Fernbedienung mit Gerätecode für AV-Geräte
programmieren
• Schalten Sie Ihr externes AV-Gerät ein.
• Suchen Sie aus der Gerätecode-Liste einen Code für Ihr AV-Gerät.
• Die zu programmierende Taste oder oder
drücken (ca. 5 Sek.), bis die obere Tastenreihe 2-mal kurz blinkt.
• Innerhalb von 10 Sek. den 4 stelligen Gerätecode für Ihr AV-Gerät
eingeben.
• Die zu programmierende Taste quittiert die Code-Eingabe eines
vorhandenen Codes mit einem 2-fachen Aufblinken.
Leuchten alle Tasten , , , für ca. 2 Sek.
auf, so wird ein Fehler angezeigt bzw. die Eingabe war nicht
vollständig. Wiederholen Sie die Eingabe.
• Zum Testen der Programmierung das externe AV-Gerät mit der
Taste dieser Fernbedienung ausschalten.
Wenn das externe AV-Gerät ausschaltet, ist ein passender Code
programmiert. Wenn das externe AV-Gerät nicht ausschaltet,
programmieren Sie den nächsten Code aus der Gerätecode-Liste.

Überprüfen Sie weitere Funktionen.
Sollten mehrere Tasten für die Grundbedienung nicht funktio-
nieren, so geben Sie den nächsten Code aus der Gerätecodeliste
ein.
3.4 Hersteller Suchlauf durchführen
• Schalten Sie Ihr externes AV-Gerät ein.
• Suchen Sie aus der Herstellercode-Liste einen Code für Ihr
AV-Gerät.
• Die zu programmierende Taste oder oder
drücken (ca. 5 Sek.), bis die obere Tastenreihe 2-mal kurz blinkt.
• Innerhalb von 10 Sek. den 4 stelligen Code „0003“ eingeben, um
den Suchlauf zu aktivieren.
Die obere Tastenreihe blinkt zur Bestätigung dass der Suchlauf
aktiviert wurde 2-mal kurz auf.
• Innerhalb von 10 Sek. den 4 stelligen Herstellercode entsprechend
der Herstellercode-Liste am Ende der Bedienungsanleitung
eingeben.
• Die zu programmierende Taste quittiert die Codeeingabe mit
einem 2-fachen aufblinken.
• Drücken Sie die Taste dieser Fernbedienung so lange, bis das
externe AV-Gerät ausschaltet. Wenn das externe AV-Gerät während
des Suchlaufs ausschaltet, lassen Sie die Taste sofort los und
drücken die Taste . Die so gefundene Einstellung wird gespei-
chert. Die Taste blinkt zweimal auf.
Wenn das externe AV-Gerät ausschaltet, ist der passender Code
programmiert.
Überprüfen Sie weitere Funktionen.
Sol lten mehrere Tasten für die Grundbedienung nicht funktionieren,
so geben Sie den nächsten Code aus der Gerätecodelist
e ein.

3.5 Kompletten Code-Suchlauf durchführen
• Schalten Sie Ihr externes AV-Gerät ein.
• Die zu programmierende Taste oder oder
drücken (ca. 5 Sek.), bis die obere Tastenreihe 2-mal kurz blinkt.
• Innerhalb von 10 Sek. den 4 stelligen Suchlaufcode „0001“
eingeben, um den Suchlauf zu aktivieren.
Die obere Tastenreihe blinkt zur Bestätigung, dass der Suchlauf
aktiviert wurde, 2-mal kurz auf.
• Drücken Sie die Taste dieser Fernbedienung so lange, bis das
externe AV-Gerät ausschaltet. Wenn das externe AV-Gerät während
des Suchlaufs ausschaltet, lassen Sie die Taste sofort los und
drücken die Taste . Die so gefundene Einstellung wird gespei-
chert. Die Taste blinkt zweimal auf.
Wenn das externe AV-Gerät ausschaltet, ist ein passender Code
programmiert.
Der komplette Code-Suchlauf kann bis zu 10 Minuten dauern.

3.6 Programmierung einer Taste löschen (RESET)
• Die zu programmierende Taste oder oder
drücken (ca. 5 Sek.), bis die obere Tastenreihe 2-mal kurz blinkt.
• Den 4stelligen Code „0000“ innerhalb von 10 Sek. eingeben.
• Die zu programmierende Taste quittiert die Codeeingabe mit
einem kurzen aufblinken.
3.7 Fernbedienung mit Gerätecode für verschiedene
Metz TV-Geräte mit Ch. 613 programmieren
• Schalten Sie Ihr Metz TV-Gerät ein.
• Die zu programmierende Taste drücken (ca. 5 Sek.), bis die
obere Tastenreihe 2-mal kurz blinkt.
• Innerhalb von 10 Sek. den 4 stelligen Gerätecode (z.B. „1000“) für
Ihr Metz TV-Gerät eingeben.
• Die zu programmierende Taste quittiert die Code-Eingabe eines
vorhandenen Codes mit einem 2-fachen Aufblinken.
Leuchten alle Tasten , , , für ca. 2 Sek.
auf, so wird ein Fehler angezeigt bzw. die Eingabe war nicht
vollständig. Wiederholen Sie die Eingabe.

1 Proper use
With this remote control, you can operate Metz TV sets and AV
devices connected to the TV set in their basic functions.
2 Safety instructions
Do not hold the remote control directly in front of your eyes and
press a key! Infrared light!
The batteries that are used must not be exposed to
excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like!
• No rechargeable batteries may be inserted in the battery
compartment of the remote control. Only two
LR03/AM4/AAA 1.5 V micro batteries may be used.
3 The remote control
The remote control sends commands to the TV set by means of an
infrared signal. You must point it towards the TV set when using it.
Note that the remote control may interfere with the operation of
other devices which use infrared signals (such as infrared head-
phones).
Sunlight falling directly on the TV set may interfere with the opera-
tion of the remote control, since the TV set cannot detect the
infrared signals from the remote control under these conditions. The
TV set must be switched on with the main power switch before it can
be controlled with the remote control.
The manufacturers of various AV devices use different frequencies
for the infrared light of their remote control.
Almost all the manufacturers’ frequencies have been stored in this
remote control.
To activate one of these frequencies, you must enter a four digit
code according to the following device code.
This remote control can direct various external AV devices in their
basic functions.
This remote control does not replace the system remote
control of your AV device.
The button can be programmed for the basic operation of
DVD players or DVD recorders.
The button can be programmed for the basic operation of set
top boxes (receivers, tuners, cable receivers, etc).
The button can be programmed for the basic operation of
audio amplifiers.
Under the factory settings, the , , and
buttons are deactivated..
3.1 Activating the buttons
To activate the individual buttons, proceed as follows (using the
example of the button):
• Press the and buttons at the same time and hold for
three seconds.
The , , and buttons flash slowly three
times. The button is activated.
Controls:
If you press the button, this illuminates and you can then
programme your DVD or Blu-ray player.


3.2 Deactivating the buttons
Deactivating the button:
• Press the and buttons at the same time and hold for
three seconds. The , , and buttons flash
quickly three times.
Controls:
When you press the button, it does not illuminate and there-
fore no longer functions.
The same procedure also applies to the and buttons.
3.3 Programming the remote control with the device code for
AV devices
• Switch on your external AV device.
• Select a code from the device code list for your AV device.
• Press the or or button to be programmed
(about five seconds), until the upper button row briefly flashes
twice.
• Enter the four-digit device code for your AV device within ten
seconds.
• The button to be programmed acknowledges the code entry of an
existing code by flashing twice.
If all the buttons , , , are illuminated
for about two seconds, this indicates an error, or that the
entry was incomplete. Repeat the entry.
• To test the programming, switch off the external AV device with the
button of this remote control.
If the external AV device switches off, a matching code has been
programmed. If the external AV device does not switch off,

program the next code from the device code list.
Check additional functions.
If several buttons for basic operation do not work, enter the next
code from the device code list.
3.4 Conduct manufacturer search
• Switch on your external AV device.
• Select a code for your AV device from the manufacturer code list.
• Press the or or button to be programmed
(about five seconds), until the upper button row briefly flashes
twice.
• Within ten seconds enter the four-digit code "0003" to activate the
search.
To confirm that the search has been activated, the upper button
row briefly flashes twice.
• Enter the four-digit manufacturer code within ten seconds accor-
ding to the manufacturer code list at the end of the operating
instructions.
• The button to be programmed acknowledges the code entry by
flashing twice.
• Press and hold the button of this remote control until the
external AV device switches off. If the external AV device switches
off during the search, immediately release the button and
press the XXX button. The setting thus found is saved.
The button flashes twice.
If the external AV device switches off, the matching code has been
programmed.
Check additional functions.
If several buttons for basic operation do not work, enter the next
code from the device code list.

3.5 Carry out complete code search
• Switch on your external AV device.
• Press the or or button to be programmed
(about five seconds), until the upper button row briefly flashes
twice.
• Within ten seconds enter the four-digit code "0001" to activate the
search.
To confirm that the search has been activated, the upper button
row briefly flashes twice.
• Press and hold the button of this remote control until the
external AV device switches off. If the external AV device switches
off during the search, immediately release the button and
press the button. The setting thus found is saved.
The button flashes twice.
If the external AV device switches off, a matching code has been
programmed.
The complete code search can take up to ten minutes.

different Metz TV sets with Ch. 613
• Turn on your Metz TV set.
• Press the button to be programmed (about five seconds),
until the upper button row briefly flashes twice.
• Enter the four-digit device code (e.g. "1000") for your Metz TV set
within ten seconds.
• The button to be programmed acknowledges the code entry of an
existing code by flashing twice.
If all the buttons , , , are illuminated
for about two seconds, this indicates an error, or that the
entry was incomplete. Repeat the entry.
