Warning!!! To display the correct value of A/F, before attaching a probe to the
connector it is essential to set in M163 odule “the identification code for
calibration” five figures reported on the probe itself. This para eters is a unique
code associated with each sensor that allows M163 to perfor co pensation and
ust therefore be set again each ti e you used different probes or the probe are
connected to different channels. So for each odule using always ake sure the
probes are connected to the correct channel. For details on how to settings the code
refer to the “ ode setting para eters”.
D splay modes
The M163 odule can have two pages to display data acquired in each of which are expressed
respectively in ratio A/F or La bda (A/F ratio easured in relation to the value of A/F
stoichio etric).
After a short essage at startup, the syste displays on the last page before the shutdown.
It’s possible switch fro one display ode to another by a si ply press to the right button “<>”.
How to set parameters
The M163 odule allows you to set for each channel the following para eters:
- IDs for calibration of the probes connected to the channels.
- IDs of CAN channels where data probes are trans itted.
- Trans ission speed of both CAN channels
To change Calibration IDs or CAN IDs para eters, press left button “◊” until you see para eter to
change. Pressing the right button “<>” you can entry in the ode of “edit”.
In this ode you can change the single digit of the para eter to be a ended by selecting the right
key “<>”. The figure selected, which is arked with the sy bol “^”, can be increased later by
pressing left button “◊”. Reached value “F”, with an additional pressure of the left button. “◊”, you
get the reset of the figure itself.
The para eter is changed and saved when you selected the last digit, aking a further press left
“<>”.
To change CAN Trans ission Speed, press left button “◊” until you see this para eter on display.
Pressing the right button “<>” you can entry in the “edit” ode. In this ode you can select the
available CAN trans ission speed (1Mbit/sec or 500kbit/sec) by pressing, repeatedly,
left button
“◊” until you see the wished value. The para eter is changed and saved by pressing left button
“<>”.
