1.1.2 Machine Use Notices
Please remove the print head holder from the left and right side of the printer
body(eg: below photo)
Turn on the machine and use machine every day, which is suggested. If you don’t have printing job someday,
please just make a nozzle check pattern and print some pictures.
If the machine will not be used for over 30 days, the print heads are suggested to disassemble and make a cleaning,
and then keep well
.
Before printing, please adjust the print gap between print head and print object to be 1-2mm, and then start
printing. Be cautious, if the print head is lower than print object surface, the print head will get scratched or
clashed.
Reflective materials, like stainless steel, mirror, etc are not allowed to print, Because their reflective surface will
reflect UV light onto print head nozzles and get nozzles clogged by UV ink.
Holder for platform(to remove them from the left and right side of the printer body before using)

1.2 Machine main parts and assemblies instruction
1.2.1 Carriage assembly
Carriage assembly is the key part of print unit and the carrier of print heads. When carriage is back to home position, the
carriage assembly is just above of capping pump station with cap top sealed with print head nozzles surface. The
movement accuracy of carriage assembly is controlled by encoder strip and raster encoder.

1.2.2 Print head
1.2.2.1 MT-6090-UV printer is assembled with Epson DX5 print head. In order to ensure the ink injection be smooth
and printing be fluent continually, the print head nozzles need to be kept moist always and not clogged. Besides, don’t
let the print head port gets in any water or other liquid, otherwise the print head will get burned down.
When placing the print head, always keep the nozzle side downward.
When make the print head cleaning manually with syringe, please don’t make with too much strength in case to
cause damage to print head. Every print head has 1140 nozzles, which are divided into 8 rows, every row has 180
nozzles. So DX5 has the features like high accuracy and fast speed.
When cleaning the nozzle surface, cotton bud or soft clean cloth is suggested to use.
Don’t scratch the nozzle surface with hard thing.
Don’t drop the print head from high.
Don’t disassemble the print head without any instructions.

1.2.2.2The easiest way to check the print head condition is to make a nozzle check on machine. Color ink can be
printed on white blank paper, but white ink needs black paper to print on, then you can check the nozzle check patterns.

1.2.3 Damper
Damper is the part to connect print head with ink supply and stock the ink temporarily for print head. Damper must be
kept sealed when machine is working.

1.2.4 Encoder strip
When machine is under printing, the carriage assembly moves leftwards and rightwards along a transparent strip,
which is called encoder strip Figure 1.2.4-1. The encoder strip controls the movement of carriage assembly where to
move to and where to stop. There is small calibration on the encoder strip, which will be read by the raster encoder
(behind the carriage assembly). If the encoder strip is stained or scratched, it will affect the reading by raster encoder, so
that the carriage movement accuracy will be also affected.

1.2.5 Capping System
Capping system is the cleaning unit to make ink supply system runs normally and keep print head nozzles moist all the
time. Before every print job, the capping pump station will make a small ink suction automatically. When to make head
cleaning, besides ink automatic suction, the wiper blade will move accordingly to scrape the print head to ensure no
remains to block the nozzles. If wiper blade gets too much stained, please use some cleaner liquid to clean it.

Normally the seal rubber of cap top will properly seals with print head nozzles surface, after the carriage assembly is
back to home position and locked. The seal between cap top and print head is to ensure the smooth ink suction of all
nozzles and is also important for printing.

1.2.6 X-axis and Y-axis Servo Control System
Servo motors can locate precise positioning by sending and receiving electric impulse and intelligent stepping
calculation, so that carriage assembly and print bridge can move synergically and synchronously together, which
facilitates to get higher print quality.

1.2.8 LED UV lamp and UV lamp Power Supply Control
The LED UV lamp power supply control device is located inside the chassis, and connect with LED UV lamp by cable.
When start to print, turn the LED UV lamp switch on by press the third button from right side in machine front cover.
The exhaust fan will start sucking air. The air will be sucked in from the two lateral grooves, then goes by LED UV
lamp and come out from top, which can help to cool the LED UV lamp and prevent LED UV lamp be overheated.

1.2.10 Auto height sensor system
Automatic height sensor system can detect the height of objects, rise to the required height, makes nozzle height
adjustment easier and more accurate.
Steps:
1. Press the up key, make the height of the nozzle up to certain height for putting the items you need in print platform,
items need to be between the 2 infrared sensors.
1. Press the down key to down the height of nozzle, until the infrared correlation illumination in print items then press
the stop button, nozzle will automatically rise to the height of printing required at this time.
2. The nozzle height adjustment is complete.
1.2.11 Cleaning button
Function of Cleaning button is when machine not working, just switch on the machine, no need to connect to computers,

press the button for 3 seconds to clear the nozzle, it can prevent the nozzle from clogging.(the machine need to be
switched off after press the cleaning button , moved ink carriage to the left manually, clean the nozzle and top cap with
cleaning cloth first, then move the ink carriage back to original place manually.
PART TWO: MACHINE INSTALLATION AND OPERATION
2.1 After received the machine to open the package tidy up the accessories. At first, place the ink system installed on
the machine. please pay attention to prevent the carriage assembly front to hit the fixed plate for ink system.
2.2 As shown in the picture, open the lid of the ink system, to connect correct ink color pipeline to the ink bottle hole.
(note: white ink bottle withe one connector connect to 2 ink tubes)
2.3 Open the ink -bottles as shown, poured the corresponding color ink into the ink bottle , (Note : White ink bottle with
a stirring system , the ink must be shaking before use : color inks five minutes , the white ink 10 minutes ) below after

the ink filling is complete, open the ink on the ink bottle hole switches, push button switches to the left to open up is
down, white ink bottle without ink hole switch.
2.4 .As shown in Figure, after completed all the ink filling, capped the lid . Power on, the white ink mixing system and
Ink amount sensor would be working.
