Safety Precautions
Before using this productˈplease make sure that you have first read this
manualˈand understand how to operate this unit property . In order to work better
you should not only obey the following precautions, but also follow the
instructions contained in warnings marked with a symbol.

Before using the machine
ƽBefore usingˈplease read the user’s manual carefully ,and understand the
caution rules completely .
The blade is very sharp ,if operate wrongly is very
dangerous Never use this hedge trimmer when under the
influence of alcohol, when suffering from exhaustion or
lack of sleep ,when suffering from drowsiness as a result of having taken cold
medicine or at any time when a possiblity
exists that your judgment might be
impaired .Children or disabled are not
allowed to use the machine .
ƽAvoid running the engine indoors. The
exhaust gases contain harmful carbon.
ƽNever use your hedge-trimmer under circumstance like those
described below.
1. When the ground is slippery or when other conditions exist
which might make it not possible to maintain a steady
posture while using.
2. At nightˈat times of heavy fog ,or at any other times when your field of
vision might be limited and it would be difficult to gain a clear view of the
area.
During rain stormsˈduring lightening storms ,at times of strong or gale –force
winds or at any other times when weather conditions might make it unsafe to
use this product .
ƽ When using this product for the first time ˈbefore beginning actual
work ,you should practice in a wide ,light place .

of using the machine continuously to somewhere around 3040 minutes
per session, and take 1020 minutes of rest between work sessions.Also try

or less.

Warning considering handling of fuel
The engine of this product is designed to run on a mixed
fuel which contains highly flammable gasoline. You
should never store cans of fuel or refill the tank in any place
where there is a boilerˈstove ,wood fire ,electrical sparks,
welding sparks or any other source of heat or fire which might
ignite the fuel.
ƽ Smoking while operating the hedge-trimmer or refilling its
fuel tank is extremely dangerous. Never doing like that.
ƽ When refilling the tank always turn off the engine first and take a careful
look around to make sure that there are no sparks or open flames anywhere

nearby before refueling.
ƽ If any fuel spillage occurs during refueling, use a dry rag to wipe up spills
before turning the engine back on.
ƽ After refueling, screw the fuel cap back tightly onto the fuel tank and then
carry the hedge-trimmer to a spot three meter or more away from where it
was refueled before turning on the engine.

Things to check before using your hedge-trimmer
Before beginning work, look around carefully to get a
feel for the shape of the land, or grass to be trimmed,
and whether or not there is any obstacle which might get in the way while
working, and remove any obstacle which can be cleared away.
ƽKeep bystanders and animals out of the working area whose diameter is 15
meters.When work is to be performed simultaneously by two or more
personsˈalways check for the presence and location of others so as to
maintain a distance betweeh each person sufficient to ensure safety .
ƽBefore starting, please inspect the machine ˈmake sure that the fuel
tank ,blade ,and machine are in good condition ..Be especially carefully to
check that there is nothing wrong with the blades or with the joints by which
the blades are attached to the hedge-trimmer.
ƽWhen the blade wear seriously and clutch structure have something wrong,
please stop quickly for mending.
ƽMake sure that the handle and protective cover are in good condition.

Notes on starting the engine
ƽWhile starting the engine make sure the safety of the around.
ƽThe product is equipped with a centrifugal clutch; the blade don’t rotate in a
state of idling.when staring the engine,place the produce onto the ground in a
flat clear area.
Please don’t put the throttle in the high
speed position when starting the engine.

ƽNever touch the spark plug and wire while the engine is in operation to
prevent the electrical shock.
While operating and stopping the machine, never touch the
muffler, sparkplug and other metal parts (these parts will up
to high temperature)ˈto prevent injury .

ƽWhile removing the blade, Please wear gloves and other proper equipment,
with right method.

It is very dangerous to change the machine yourself, never do that .

Operation of engine
Fuel
DANGER
The fuel is very flammable. If it’s mishandled, fire and
explosion would happen, which will lead to serious
injury or death.
While mixing the fuel, avoid smoking or bringing and
fires near fuel.
Do not allowed to mix the fuel outside
Don’t put the machine and the tank near the spark.
IMPORTANT
Using the pure gasoline will danage the engine.when
refilling,make sure that the fuel is right.
Fuel will become bad if it is under the influence of uv and
high temperature for a long time, then the power will be
shortage. And the fixed fuel should be used up within
thirty days.
Use the fuel with water will make the carburetor and the
engine corrosion.Never allow the engine and fuel tank
fixed with water.
Never use oil for four stroke engine or water cooled two
stroke engine, it can cause spark plug fouling, exhaust
port blocking or piston ring sticking.

How to mix fuel
Pay attention to agitation.
gMeasure out the quantities of gasdine and oil to be mixed, the ratio is 40:1.
gPut some of the gasoline into a clean ,approved fuel container.
gPour in all of the oil and agitate well.

gPour in the rest of gasoline and agitle
again for at leat one minute. As some
oils may be difficult to agitale
depending on oil ingredingts, sufficient
agition is necessary for the engine to last
long.Be caueful that, if the sgition is
insufficient, there is an increased danger
of early pisten seizing due to abnormally
lean mixture.
ƵAdding oil
DANGER
ƽSelect bare ground for fueling. Avoid smoking or bring and
fires near fuel.
ƽIf it needs to add oil while working, you should stop the
engine and allow it cool down.
ƽFasten the fuel tank lid securely.
ƽWipe up all fuel spills before staring the engine.
1. Keep the machine for adding oil in the even placeˈfix it .
2. Loosen the tank lidˈeliminate the pressure difference between the outside and
inside.
3. Remore the tank lid. Put fuel into the tank to 80% of
the full capacity.
After finishing adding oil ˈtightening the tank
lid ,make sure that there is no leak.
IMPORTANT
Put fuel into the fuel tank to 80% of the full capacity.
Adding too much will lead to fuel leakage during
operation.

Ƶ The starting way of engine
CAUTTON
Inspect the entire unit for loose fasteners and fuel leakage.
Make sure that the cutting attachment is properly installed
and securely fastened.
When staring the engine, place the product onto the ground
in a flat clear area and hold it firmly in place so as to
ensure that the cutting part don’t contact with arry
obstacle when the engine starts.
The cutting attachrnent begins to rotale as soon as the
engine is started by putting the throttle to the start position.
Remove any obstacle before beginning work.
After starting the engine,check to make sure that the cutting
attachrent stops rotating when the throttle is move fully
back to its oniginal position.If not stop the engine and
check the throttle cable and the adjusting bott of the
carburetor.
IMPORTANT Please remove the blade cover before starting
1. Press the primer pump until the fuel go back to the
fuel.
This is not necessary if the
engine is warm.
DANGER
Move at least 3m away form fueling site before staring
engine.Staring at the fueling side will result in accident.
Don’t start the engine indoors or in poorly ventilated area.
The gas of the engine contains carbon monoxide which is
dangerous to your health.

ƵThe use of handle(SLP600D only)
To reduce fatigue when trimming hedges, the handle can
be swivelled through 90eto the left or right.
Process as follows:
1. Free the handle by pulling the locking lever.
2. Turn the handle until the locking lever clicks into place.
3.When the handle is locked in its new position, you can begin working.
Ƶ Operation
1. While trimming, you should go forward along trimmed way. Going
back is not allowed.
2. Make sure the machine is used in normal conditionˈaway from the rock,
wire, hard wood, plastic.
3. Never use this machine for branches above 8mm.
IMPORTANT
During the using, if the blade always stoppedˈplease operate as follows˖
ƽThe branches is too rough, please choose branches below 8mm.
ƽThe blade cutting worsen: blade is wornˈthe gap between the blade is too
big which reduce the cutting power.
CAUTION Don’t use for trimming when the handle is pulled.

Ƶ Air cleaner
Every twenty-five hours, please remove the cleaner outside coverˈthen clean
the inner dust. When the element is dirtyˈclean it in warm water, dry it
completely before installing.
The clogged cleaner will reduce the engine performanceˈif
there is no cleaner or it is damaged or deformed, never start
the machine, otherwise the engine will damage quickly.
Ƶ Fuel filter
Every 25 hours, take the filter from the fuel tank for dust-cleaning. If it is
very dirty, replace with a new one.
The clogged filter will reduce the engine speed, and the
speed is not stable. After removing the filter, use a clip to
hold the suction pipe to prevent fiber or dust.

Spark plug
Spark plug is easily clogged by the carbon deposit, every
twenty-five hours, remove it, and clean the electrodes

with steel brush, the suitable clearance of sparking plug is 0.60.7mm.
Ƶ
Gear case
Every twenty working hours, use grease pump to add grease to the gear case
from the inlet.
Ƶ
Blade
Every 12 hours, add grease to the blade.
Mend the blade
1. Start the engine, allow the blade to run at low
speed, stagger the up and down blade for
2mm, and stop the engine.
2. After fixing the unit, sharpen the cutting
edges with a flat or a grinder.
3.Start it againˈstagger the blade for 2mm,
then stop it .
4. Sharpen the side blade as described in step 2.
5. At lastˈcoincide the blade ,and starpen the top of the blade.
Ƶ
Muffler
Every fifty hours, please remove the muffler, clear the inner carbon deposit
with screw driver, at the same time clean the carbon from the exhaust port.

Long time storage
1. While cleaning the machine, inspect every part for damage or loose, if find,
repair it before next use.
2. Empty the fuel tank completely, run the engine until it stops from lack of
fuel.
3. Remove the spark plug and put in two stroke oil in the engine. Pull the
starting ropes two to three times, replace the plug and stop it at the
contraction position.
4. Apply anti-rust oil to the metal parts such as the throttle wire .put the
cover on the blade and keep it indoors avoiding being damp.
IMPORTANT
ƽAged fuel is one of major causes of engine starting
foilure.
ƽDo not tight the tank lid too much, otherwise the
sealing ring will damage.
