2 Product eatures
The SegoSerial Industrial Grade Converter is a specially designed dual serial-to-USB
converter. It excels by virtue o the ollowing eatures:

▯ Complete electrical isolation o the two serial ports rom one another
▯ Low voltage detection and display
▯ USB sleep detection and display
▯ USB connection detection and display

power adapter and DC connection socket or via USB.

This LED lights red i the USB power supply alls below a critical value, so the correct
unction o the converter can no longer be guaranteed. In this case the converter
switches o .
In this respect we re er to the act that the quality and length o the USB connecting
cable are o major importance.
In order to restore the converter to a unctional state it is necessary to brie=y (approx. 5
sec.) disconnect it rom the power supply and to reconnect it again.

the converter. Should this occur requently, it is advisable to acquire an additional USB
plug-in card or your computer.

4 Installation o the device driver
A ter success ul installation you can connect the converter to the computer. The
SegoSerial Industrial Grade Converter will be detected automatically.
5 Establishing the connection
Establishing the connection between the device and computer is per ormed in our easy
steps:
$5 Install the device driver “SegoSerial Industrial Grade Converter”
$5 Provide the converter with power using the enclosed mains power adapter.
$%5 Connect the converter with the computer using the enclosed USB
connecting cable and wait until the operating system has recognised
the device.
$+5 Connect the serial ports (A and B) with the recording devices. I possible,
switch o the recording devices or this purpose.
