Solder all the components onto the circuit
board. The imprint on the circuit board shows
where each of the components goes. Poke the
components through the holes on the printed
side and solder them on the back with the
conducting tracks.
Take care that the
components marked red on
this plan [03] are built-in the
right way around.
Also take note of the small
markings! The Diodes, for
example, have a black line
on one side.
Now you can clip off the wires on the back
which are too long. Solder two of these wires
onto the loudspeaker so that you can mount this
on the circuit board too. You will need the other
leftover wires for the wire jumpers which are
labelled on the plan as 0R resistors.
(zero R = no resistance)
The components on the plan marked green
can be left out. They are there so that you
can programme your Mignon-Game-Kit over a
special PonyProg Adapter. You can find more
information about the PonyProg on the
Mignon-Game-Kit homepage:
www.olafval.de/mignon
Poke the black/red cable into the battery fitting
and solder it onto the circuit board where the
battery symbol is marked (above the small
on/off switch).
The Mignon Game Kit can also be run off a
mains adapter (6-12 volt). Both the battery
connection and the mains adapter are s
afeguarded against being connected the wrong
way around. You can try out where plus and
minus is without breaking anything.

If you would still like to have access to the
components you can for example leave one
side open, mount the battery to the outside or
cut holes in the film for the electricity connec-
tion.

To finish up you can make a casing with the
PVC film. Place the pieces of film on top of
each other on a fire resistant surface and
heat-seal them together along the edges. To
do this place the Teflon strip on the film and
slowly run the tip of the soldering iron over it
to form a welded seam. You may need to
exert some pressure to do this.
Watch out that the solder doesn't run. Clean
the tip of the soldering iron on a damp cloth,
it shouldn't be covered in soot. It is best if
both the components and the conducting
tracks are heated at the same time, so that
the solder runs smoothly.
You can tell the resistors apart by the
different coloured rings.
Connect the Mignon-Game-Kit with the
COM-Port of your computer. To do this use
the SUB-D extension cable supplied.
Create a new folder for your Mignon-Game-
Kit. Save the upload-program and the games
in this folder. You can only load HEX-files
onto the game.
Start the upload-program on the PC. Select
the file you would like and the COM-Port. Turn
your Mignon-Game off and on during holding
the function B button down. Press “Load” and
Your program is loaded. Ready to go!
