•Do not use where oxygen or anesthetics are used.

is necessary when used by or near children.
•Use extra care when using on stairs.
STAY ALERT. Watch what you are doing and use
common sense. Do not use dust extractor when you
alcohol or medication causing diminished control.
The operation of a dust extractor can result in
foreign objects being blown into eyes, which
can result in eye damage. Always wear safety
goggles or glasses with side shields marked to
comply with AS/NZS 1337.1 when operating dust
extractor.
Wear a dust mask or use a suitable dust ex-
traction solution when working in dusty situations.

To insert the battery, slide the pack into the body of
the tool. Make sure it latches securely into place.
To remove the battery, push in the release buttons
and pull the battery pack away from the tool.
5. Clean filter and dust box by following the
following recommended steps in the "Removal
and Cleaning of Dust Box and Filter" section.

working in dusty situations, wear
appropriate respiratory protection or use a
suitable dust extraction solution. Keep filter
clean. Efficiency of the HAMMERVAC™ is
largely dependent on the filter. A dirty filter will
reduce the air flow and overall efficiency of the
system. Do not clean with water or compressed
air.
Regular filter cleaning and dust box emptying are an
essential part of regular maintenance on the
HAMMERVAC™, as a full dust box or filter will
reduce the effectiveness of the unit. Carefully
transfer the filter or collected dust to a suitable
container with a tight-fitting lid to minimise the
amount of dust that re-enters the air. Ensure minimal
dust is allowed to escape when emptying dust boxes
or cleaning filters. Disposal of dust needs to be done
in accordance with local regulations.

Disposal of Dust
Wear suitable personal protective equipment and
remove any remaining dust in the dust box port
thoroughly after the dust box has been removed and
appropriately handled, e.g., by using a compliant
dust extraction system (Class M recommended as a
minimum) in accordance with local regulations.
Cleaning Dust Box
After about 1,500 holes or loss of suction, discard
the HEPA filter by cleaning the dust box (refer to the
“Cleaning Dust Box" section) and carefully
transferring the HEPA filter to a container with a
tight-fitting lid. Disposal of HEPA filter needs to be
done in accordance with local regulations. Replace
HEPA filter with a correct replacement HEPA filter
(Cat. No. 49902306).

Installing/Removing Nozzle Assembly
To install the nozzle assembly
supplied with the tool, or acces-
sory nozzles:

1. With the nozzle assembly
pointing straight up, line up the
lugs of the nozzle assembly
with the lugs on the front of the
HAMMERVAC™. The unlock
symbol on the nozzle as-
sembly will line up with the
depth gauge on the top of the
HAMMERVAC™.
2. Turn the nozzle assembly left
or right to lock into place. The
lock symbol on the nozzle
assembly will line up with the
depth gauge on the top of the
HAMMERVAC™.

To replace the Standard (Cat.
No. 14-52-0105 and Large
Cat. No. 14-52-0110) nozzles, ro-
tate the nozzle release lever up to
the open position and pull out nozzle from the lower
nozzle assembly(Cat. No. 42-20-0615).Slide the new
nozzle into the lower nozzle assembly and rotate the
nozzle release lever down to the closed position.
Adjusting the Side Handle Position

Slide the bit through the nozzle and then install
into the tool according to the tool manufacturer's
instructions. For best results, use a bit 177.8mm (7")
in length or shorter.
Fitting the HAMMERVAC™ to the Tool and Bit
1. Loosen the side handle clamping collar assembly
by unscrewing the side handle grip until the side
handle clamping collar assembly rotates freely.
2. Rotate the side handle grip to the desired position.
3. Tighten the side handle grip securely.

ing depth is the last visible measurement shown
when viewed from the depth gauge on the top of
the tool. To ensure the HAMMERVAC™ is prop-
erly set to the tool, bit, and desired depth, always
drill a test hole.

Maintaining Tool
Keep your tool, battery pack and charger in good
repair by adopting a regular maintenance program.
Inspect your tool for issues such as undue noise,
misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage
of parts, or any other condition that may affect the
tool operation. Return the tool, battery pack, and
charger to a MILWAUKEE®service facility for repair.
After six months to one year, depending on use,
return the tool, battery pack and charger to a
MILWAUKEE®service facility for inspection.
If the tool does not start or operate at full power with
a fully charged battery pack, clean the contacts on
the battery pack. If the tool still does not work
properly, return the tool, charger and battery pack,
to a MILWAUKEE®service facility for repairs.

Cleaning
Clean dust and debris from vents. Keep handles
clean, dry and free of oil or grease. Use only mild
soap and a damp cloth to clean, since certain
cleaning agents and solvents are harmful to plastics
and other insulated parts. Some of these include
gasoline, turpentine, lacquer thinner, paint thinner,
chlorinated cleaning solvents, ammonia and
household detergents containing ammonia. Never
use flammable or combustible solvents around
tools. Repairs
For repairs, return the tool, battery pack and charger
to the nearest service centre.
ACCESSORIES
Empty the dust box.
NOTE: For optimal use to remove debris in the
dust box, refer to the "Removal and Cleaning of
Dust Box and Filter" section.
