Cher client,
Nous vous remercions d’avoir choisi un appareil de la gamme MINIUM.
Cet ensemble, conçu en tant que système complet, allie une très haute qualité de restitution sonore à
une très grande facilité d’utilisation. Nous soulignons que la lecture de ce manuel d’instruction n’est
pas inutile et qu’elle vous permettra de tirer le meilleur parti de toutes les fonctions originales de
MINIUM.
VERIFICATION
Vérifiez avec attention l’état du carton d’emballage. Si
vous avez le moindre doute à ce sujet n’hésitez pas à
contacter votre revendeur.
DEBALLAGE
Retirez avec le plus grand soin votre appareil de son
carton. Nous vous conseillons de conserver ce
dernier dans un endroit sur et sec. Si vous deviez
retourner votre appareil chez votre revendeur, il vous
faudrait impérativement le renvoyer dans son
emballage d’origine car la garantie ne s’applique qu’à
cette seule condition.

En ouvrant le carton vous trouverez les accessoires
suivant :

FM

- Une antenne dipôle.
TENSION SECTEUR
•Vérifiez que la tension secteur indiquée sur le coté
du carton d’emballage et au dos de l’appareil est bien
celle qui dessert votre habitation.
•Dans le cas contraire veuillez contacter votre
revendeur agréé.
INSTALLATION
Afin de profiter au maximum de tous les avantages du
système MINIUM il est important de l’installer dans de
bonnes conditions.
Nous vous conseillons, dans la mesure du possible,
d’installer les appareils sur les étagères d’un rack ou
d’un meuble afin d’éviter tout échauffement excessif.
Néanmoins les appareils MINIUM offrent la possibilité
de pouvoir être posés les uns sur les autres en
utilisant les empreintes placées sur les capots de CD
et FM.
ATTENTION!
Si vous choisissez, pour une question de place ou
d’esthétique, d’empiler les appareils, il est impératif de
placer AMP au sommet de la pile. Ne placer jamais
un appareil au dessus de AMP ; il est conseillé de
laisser un espace libre d’environ 30 cm au dessus de
celui - ci afin de lui assurer une bonne ventilation.
RACCORDEMENTS
Raccordez vos appareils au secteur en ayant
préalablement vérifié que la tension secteur indiquée
au dos de l’appareil correspond bien à celle qui
dessert votre habitation.
Raccordez ensuite les sorties analogiques de CD et
FM aux entrées de AMP correspondantes.
Remarque : Vous pouvez également raccorder la
sortie numérique de CD si vous souhaitez utiliser un
convertisseur numérique - analogique extérieur.
Raccordez la prise d’antenne de FM au dipôle fourni
ou, mieux encore, à une antenne F.M. extérieure.
Raccordez enfin les sorties haut - parleur de AMP à
vos enceintes.
Votre système est alors près à vous procurer de
longues heures d’écoute dans un confort inégalé.

FACE AVANT DU LECTEUR
1 AFFICHEUR : Donne des renseignements sur le
fonctionnement du lecteur.
2 STAND-BY : Mise en et hors veille de l’appareil. Un
barreau lumineux sur la droite de l’afficheur signale le
mode veille du lecteur.
3 MODE :
•Validation et dévalidation de la sortie numérique.
4 NEXT/FFWD :
•Sélection de la plage suivante.
•Avance rapide pendant la lecture.
5 PREV/FREV :
•Sélection de la plage précédente.
•Retour rapide pendant la lecture.
•Reprise de la lecture de la plage en cours.
6 PLAY/PAUSE :
•Début de la lecture.
•Interruption momentanée de la lecture.
7 STOP/DISC :
•Arrêt de la lecture.
•Effacement d’un programme.
•Ouverture et fermeture du compartiment CD.
AFFICHEUR
TRACK : Indique le nombre de plages sur le disque
ou dans un programme ; le numéro de la plage en
cours d’écoute.
TOTAL TIME : Indique la durée totale d’un disque ou
d’un programme ; la durée de lecture écoulée du
disque en cours.
TOTAL REM(aining) TIME : Indique la durée de
lecture restante d’un disque.
REM(aining) TIME : Indique la durée de lecture
restante de la plage en cours.
TIME : Indique la durée de lecture écoulée de la plage
en cours.
PROGRAM : Indique la présence d’un programme.
Clignote lors de la sélection d’une plage susceptible
d’être ajoutée ou retirée à un programme existant.
SCAN : Indique la lecture des dix premières secondes
de chaque plage du disque.
SHUFFLE : Indique la lecture aléatoire du disque.
A→B :S’allume lorsque vous répétez la lecture d’un
passage.
REPEAT : S’allume lorsque vous répétez la lecture
d’un disque ou d’un programme.
REPEAT 1 : S’allume lorsque vous répétez la lecture
d’une plage.
LECTURE
•Appuyez sur STAND-BY pour mettre le lecteur
hors veille.
•Appuyez sur PLAY/PAUSE pour déclencher la
lecture.
◊La plage en cours de lecture apparaît toujours
sous TRACK et sa durée écoulée apparaît toujours
sous TIME.
◊Le disque s’arrête après la dernière plage.
•Vous pouvez arrêter la lecture en appuyant sur
STOP/DISC.
•Appuyez sur STAND-BY pour mettre le lecteur en
veille.
ATTENTION!
- Le compartiment CD se ferme aussi si vous lui
appliquez une légère pression; la lecture commence
alors automatiquement (AUTOPLAY).
- Vous pouvez interrompre la lecture en appuyant sur
PLAY/PAUSE; PAUSE s’allume alors. Appuyez de
nouveau sur PLAY/PAUSE pour reprendre la lecture.
SELECTION D’UNE PLAGE (0-9)
•Composez le numéro choisi avec les touches
numériques sur la télécommande (les numéros
comportants 2 chiffres doivent être composés dans
les 2 secondes).
•Vous pouvez également sélectionner le numéro
avec NEXT ou PREV.
RECHERCHE D’UN PASSAGE
•Maintenez enfoncé PREV/FREV pour procéder à
une recherche vers le début du disque ; maintenez
enfoncé NEXT/FFWD pour procéder à une recherche
vers la fin du disque.

◊Le temps de pression sur la touche détermine la
vitesse de recherche : assez lentement pendant les
trois premières secondes, avec son atténué ; ensuite
à la vitesse la plus élevée, sans son.
BALAYAGE DU DISQUE (SCAN)
•Appuyez sur SCAN avant ou pendant la lecture.
◊L’indication SCAN s’allume et les 10 premières
secondes de chaque plage sont lues successivement.
•Appuyez de nouveau sur SCAN si vous trouvez
une plage que vous voulez écouter entièrement.
LECTURE ALEATOIRE (SHUFFLE)
•Appuyez sur SHUFFLE avant ou pendant la
lecture.
◊L’indication SHUFFLE s’allume et toutes les
plages du disque sont lues dans un ordre aléatoire.
•Appuyez de nouveau sur SHUFFLE si vous voulez
revenir en lecture normale.
REPETITION D’UN PASSAGE (A / B)
•Appuyez sur A / B pendant la lecture au point de
départ souhaité.
◊A
→ s’allume.
•Appuyez de nouveau sur A / B au point final
souhaité.
◊A
→ Bs’allume ; le passage entre le point A et le
point B se répétera alors sans cesse.
•Appuyez de nouveau sur A / B pour revenir en
lecture normale.
REPETITION (REPEAT)
•Appuyez sur REPEAT pendant ou avant la lecture.
◊REPEAT s’allume et le disque se répétera sans
cesse.
•Appuyez de nouveau sur REPEAT.
◊REPEAT 1 s’allume et la plage sélectionnée se
répétera sans cesse.
•Appuyez de nouveau sur REPEAT pour faire
cesser la répétition.
INFORMATION DE DUREE (TIME)
•Appuyez sur TIME si vous voulez connaître la
durée de lecture écoulée du disque (TOTAL TIME).
•Appuyez de nouveau sur TIME si vous voulez
connaître la durée de lecture restante du disque
(TOTAL REM TIME).
•Appuyez de nouveau sur TIME si vous voulez
connaître la durée de lecture restante de la plage en
cours (REM TIME).
•Appuyez de nouveau sur TIME si vous voulez
connaître le temps écoulé de la plage en cours
(TRACK TIME). Ceci est le mode d’information de
durée par défaut.
PROGRAMMATION (PROG)
Vous pouvez mémoriser jusqu’à 20 plages par disque
pour constituer un programme.
•Choisissez le numéro de plage que vous désirez
mémoriser à l’aide des touches numériques (0-9) ou
des touches PREV/FREV et NEXT/FFWD.
•Enregistrez la plage choisie à l’aide de la touche
PROG.
◊Chaque fois que vous enregistrez une nouvelle
plage, l’afficheur vous indique le nombre de plages
ainsi que le temps total du programme.
•Appuyez sur PLAY/PAUSE pour débuter la lecture
du programme.
•Appuyez deux fois (une seule fois si le disque est
arrêté) sur STOP/DISC pour effacer le programme.
SORTIE NUMERIQUE (MODE)
Vous pouvez, à l’aide de la touche DIGITAL, valider
ou dévalider la sortie numérique ; ceci est utile dans
le cas ou vous utilisez un convertisseur numérique -
analogique extérieur.
◊dO On s’affiche, la sortie numérique est validée.
◊dO Off s’affiche, la sortie numérique est
dévalidée.
CD revient à l’affichage par défaut au bout de deux
secondes.
INVERSION DE PHASE ( Φ).
Cette fonction n’est accessible qu’à la télécommande.
•Une pression sur la touche Φvous permet
d’inverser la phase et ce uniquement pendant la
lecture.
◊L’afficheur indique la phase pendant deux
secondes : Ph 0 ou Ph 180 puis revient en mode de
lecture normal.
◊L’afficheur fera clignoter les deux points en cas de
phase Ph 180.
Remarque : Lors du changement de disque, le
lecteur se positionnera par défaut sur la phase 0.
Remarque : L’inversion de phase vous permet de
retrouver, lors de la lecture, la phase absolue utilisée
à l’enregistrement et de reproduire une pression à
l’enregistrement comme une pression à la lecture et
non comme une dépression.
Une phase absolue correcte se manifeste par un son
plus tendu avec des attaques plus franches et une
netteté accrue.

1 AFFICHEUR : Donne des renseignements sur le
fonctionnement de l’amplificateur.
2 STAND-BY : Mise en et hors veille de l’appareil. Un
barreau lumineux sur la droite de l’afficheur signale le
mode veille de l’amplificateur.
3 HEADPHONE : Commutation casque haut-parleur.
4 MUTE : Coupe les sorties haut-parleur de
l’amplificateur.
5 MON/PRO : Commutation en mode MONitor ou
PROcessor.
6/7 INPUT SELECT !: Sélection des sources.
8 BOUTON ROTATIF : Permet le contrôle du volume.
AFFICHEUR
L’afficheur vous indique :
•la source sélectionnée à gauche.
•le volume d’écoute à droite.
SOURCES (INPUT SELECT !)
La sélection des sources s’effectue à l’aide des
touches
 INPUT SELECT ! .
•Vous pouvez sélectionner la source de votre choix
par pressions successives sur ces touches
◊L’afficheur vous indique le nom de la source
sélectionnée selon la liste suivante : Pho - Cd - tun -
dAC - AU1 - AU2.
VOLUME
Le réglage du volume de sortie s’effectue grâce au
bouton rotatif central de l’amplificateur. Le réglage
varie entre 0 et 99.
Remarque : Le bouton rotatif central vous autorise
différentes vitesses de réglage de volume : pas-à-pas
si vous tournez lentement le bouton ou accéléré si
vous tournez rapidement le bouton ; ceci vous permet
d’accéder rapidement au niveau d’écoute désiré.
ECOUTE AU CASQUE (HEADPHONE)
La prise casque située à l’arrière de l’appareil vous
permet une écoute au casque en bénéficiant d’un
réglage de volume diffèrent du réglage principal.
•Appuyez sur HEADPHONE.
◊L’afficheur indique le nom de la source, un H
indiquant le mode casque et le volume propre au
casque.
Attention : Les sorties haut-parleur sont coupées lors
de l’écoute au casque.
•Réglez le niveau d’écoute au casque à l’aide du
bouton central.
•Appuyez à nouveau sur HEADPHONE pour
revenir au mode d’écoute par défaut.
◊Le H disparaît et l’amplificateur se positionne en
Mute ( un Mclignote )afin d’éviter toute fausse
manipulation.
•Appuyez sur MUTE pour revenir en mode
d’écoute.
MONITOR (MON/PRO)
Cette fonction vous permet de contrôler la qualité d’un
enregistrement sur un magnétophone trois têtes.
•Appuyez sur MON/PRO.
◊L’amplificateur se place en mode Monitor.
•Appuyez de nouveau sur MON/PRO pour revenir
au mode d’écoute par défaut.
BALANCE (HEADPHONE)
•Exercez une pression longue (2 sec) sur
HEADPHONE.
◊L’afficheur indique 0 b 0.
•Réglez la balance à l’aide du bouton rotatif.
•Appuyez de nouveau (2 secondes) sur
HEADPHONE pour revenir au mode d’écoute par
défaut.
Remarque : La balance est indiquée selon des
valeurs d’atténuation. Par exemple, l’indication
-2 b 0 signifie que la voie gauche est atténuée de 2
dB par rapport à la voie droite.
ATTENUATION DES SORTIES (MUTE)
•Appuyez sur cette touche quand vous voulez
mettre l’amplificateur en mode Mute.
◊L’afficheur indique un Mclignotant à droite de la
source et les sorties sont coupées.
•Appuyez de nouveau sur MUTE pour revenir en
mode normal d’écoute.

ATTENTION !
AMP n’est pas conçu pour fonctionner
avec des enceintes dont l’impédance
nominale est inférieure à 4 Ω.
Si vous utilisiez de telles enceintes la
fiabilité de AMP serait fortement
compromise.
De plus si AMP venait à entrer en
mode protection en cours d’écoute
( interruptions momentanées du son ),
il vous faudrait absolument baisser le
niveau jusqu’à ce que les interruptions
disparaissent.
Vous ne devez, en aucun cas,
continuer à faire fonctionner AMP en
mode protection, sous peine de
destruction de l’étage de sortie de
AMP.
De plus, nous vous rappelons que
AMP n’est pas un amplificateur à
usage professionnel et qu’à ce titre il
est fortement déconseillé de l’utiliser
comme ampli de sonorisation.
ATTENTION !
Lors de la commutation de AMP sur
l’entrée AVP, l’amplificateur se place
en position de volume maximale pour
permettre le contrôle de volume par
l’intermédiaire de AVP.
Il est donc important de n’utiliser le
mode AVP que si vous posséder le
processeur AVP.
Afin d’éviter toute fausse manipulation,
la commutation de AMP sur l’entrée
AVP nécessite une deuxième pression
sur la touche AVP de la
télécommande.
Dans le cas d’une pression
involontaire sur la touche AVP, il suffit
d’une pression sur une autre touche
système ( CD ou FM ) pour sortir du
mode AVP.

fonctionnement du syntoniseur.
2 STAND-BY : Mise en et hors veille de l’appareil. Un
barreau lumineux sur la droite de l’afficheur signale le
mode veille du syntoniseur.
3 RF LEVEL : Contrôle du niveau de réception.
4 MONO : Commutation pour réception MONO /
STEREO.
5 MEMORY : Mémorisation d’une station.
6 SCANNING : Lancement du syntoniseur en mode
de recherche automatique.
7 MODE : Sélection du mode MANuel ou
Présélection.
8 BOUTON ROTATIF : Permet le contrôle de la
fréquence ou des présélections.
AFFICHEUR
MEMORY : Clignote lorsque la mémoire a été ouverte
pour permettre la mémorisation d’un émetteur favori.
FM : Indique la gamme d’onde de réception et le
verrouillage sur un émetteur.
: Indique la fréquence et le mode ou le
numéro de présélection.
STEREO : S’allume lors de la réception d’un émetteur
FM stéréo.
MHz : Indique la gamme de fréquence de réception.
ACCORD MANUEL
L’accord manuel se révèle utile lorsque vous
connaissez la fréquence de l’émetteur désiré.
L’indication MAN de l’afficheur vous indique le mode
MANuel.
•A l’aide du bouton rotatif central vous pouvez
sélectionner la fréquence désirée. Lors de l’accord, le
signal audio est interrompu.
◊L’indication FM apparaît lorsque le syntoniseur est
accordé sur un émetteur suffisamment puissant.
◊L’indication STEREO apparaît si le syntoniseur est
accordé sur un émetteur stéréo.
Remarque : Le bouton rotatif central vous autorise
différentes vitesses de recherche manuelle : pas-à-
pas si vous tournez lentement le bouton ou accéléré
si vous tournez rapidement le bouton ; ceci vous
permet d’explorer rapidement la totalité de la gamme
de fréquences.
ACCORD AUTOMATIQUE (SCANNING)
La recherche automatique (scanning) peut se faire
dans le sens croissant (pression courte) ou
décroissant (pression longue).
•Appuyez sur SCANNING (pression courte ou
longue selon le sens de scanning désiré). Le
syntoniseur se mettra à chercher un émetteur de
puissance suffisante. L’afficheur indique alors la
fréquence accordée et l’indication FM apparaît.
•Si l’émetteur trouvé n’est pas celui désiré, répétez
l’opération.
Remarque : L’afficheur indique SCN pendant la
recherche puis revient a l’affichage MAN une fois
accordé.
PRESELECTIONS
Vous pouvez, à l’aide du mode Présélection, accéder
directement à 19 émetteurs préférentiels stockés
dans la mémoire du syntoniseur.
Mémorisation d’un émetteur
•Placez le syntoniseur sur la fréquence que vous
désirez mémoriser, soit automatiquement soit
manuellement.
•Appuyez sur MEMORY afin d’ouvrir la mémoire
◊L’afficheur vous indique la première présélection
libre (ex. : P5) ou P- - si toutes les présélections sont
utilisées et l’indication MEMORY clignote.
•Sélectionnez un numéro de présélection (de 1 à
19) à l’aide du bouton rotatif.
•Appuyez de nouveau sur MEMORY pour
enregistrer votre présélection en mémoire.
Remarque : Une fréquence mémorisée est
automatiquement effacée de la mémoire si vous
mémorisez une autre fréquence à la place.

Accord sur des présélections
•Appuyez sur MODE pour accéder au mode
Présélection.
◊L’afficheur vous indique alors le numéro de la
présélection et la fréquence correspondante.
•Sélectionnez le numéro de présélection désiré à
l’aide du bouton rotatif.
•Appuyez de nouveau sur MODE pour revenir en
mode MANuel.
Remarque : En mode Présélection, vous n’avez
accès qu’aux présélections existantes. L’afficheur
indique ALL FREE si aucune présélection n’existe.
REGLAGE DE L’ANTENNE (RF LEVEL)
•Placez votre syntoniseur sur une station locale de
forte puissance (ex : Radio France).
•Appuyez sur la touche RF LEVEL.
◊L’afficheur vous indique un niveau de réception
compris entre 0 et 9. Plus le chiffre est élevé,
meilleure est la réception.
•Orientez votre antenne de manière à obtenir le
plus haut niveau possible.
Remarque : Il n’est pas toujours possible d’obtenir un
niveau de réception maximale avec une antenne
dipôle. Utilisez, si possible, une antenne extérieure.
STBY
La touche STBY de la télécommande vous permet de
mettre en veille l’ensemble du système.
uDISPLAYt
Par l’intermédiaire de ces deux touches vous pouvez
choisir la luminosité des afficheurs : atténuée ou
maximale.
CD
La touche CD de la télécommande vous permet de
mettre le lecteur CD en fonctionnement. Si vous
possédez l’amplificateur AMP, ce dernier commutera
automatiquement sur CD.
FM
La touche FM de la télécommande vous permet de
mettre le lecteur CD en fonctionnement. Si vous
possédez l’amplificateur AMP, ce dernier commutera
automatiquement sur FM.
AVP
La touche AVP de la télécommande vous permet de
mettre le lecteur CD en fonctionnement. Si vous
possédez l’amplificateur AMP, ce dernier commutera
automatiquement sur AVP.
ATTENTION !
Lors de la commutation de AMP sur l’entrée AVP,
l’amplificateur se place en position de volume
maximale pour permettre le contrôle de volume par
l’intermédiaire de AVP.
Il est donc important de n’utiliser le mode AVP
que si vous posséder le processeur AVP.
Afin d’éviter toute fausse manipulation, la
commutation de AMP sur l’entrée AVP nécessite une
deuxième pression sur la touche AVP de la
télécommande.
Dans le cas d’une pression involontaire sur la
touche AVP, il suffit d’une pression sur une autre
touche système ( CD ou FM ) pour sortir du mode
AVP.

La touche AMP de la télécommande vous permet de
mettre l’amplificateur AMP en fonctionnement.

Thank you for purchasing a Minium product.
Minium is designed as a complete system. Together each component provides ease of use and
sonics of the highest quality. Please pay close attention to this instruction manual, and read it fully
before attempting to operate. It is designed to ensure that you maximise your pleasure of Minium and
familiarise you with its many unique functions.
CHECKING
Check that the carton has no damage. Should you have
any doubt about its condition, please do not hesitate to
contact your dealer.
UNPACKING
Very carefully remove the unit from the box, taking care
to preserve all the packing material. It is good practice
to put the carton and its contents into an outer plastic
bag and deposit it somewhere safe and dry. In the
unlikely event that your unit needs to be sent back to
either your dealer or distributor, it must be sent in the
original packing material. Failure to observe this will
invalidate your warranty.
ACCESSORIES
Upon opening the carton, you should find the following
accessories:

MAINS VOLTAGE
•Check that the mains voltage indicated on both the
carton and the rear of the unit correspond to the local
power supply
•If you are in any doubt, consult your dealer.
INSTALLATION
In order to obtain the maximum performance of
Minium, it is important to follow the installation
instructions
Wherever possible, we recommend that Minium is
installed in an audio rack or other suitable furniture
that provides sufficient ventilation.
By using the top cover indentations on CD and FM, it
is possible to stack the units on top of each other.
WARNING!
If for aesthetic or ease of use reasons, you choose to
stack the units, it is imperative that you place AMP on
the top. Never place any unit on top of AMP. We
recommend that you provide a space of at least 30cm
above AMP in order to ensure adequate ventilation.
CONNECTIONS
Having verified that the mains voltage indicated on the
rear of the unit corresponds to the local power supply
mains voltage, connect the mains leads provided to
the rear of each unit and to the wall sockets.
Connect the Stereo Interconnect cables from the rear
of both CD and FM to the corresponding inputs on
AMP.
Note : You can also connect the digital output of CD
if you wish to utilise an external Digital to Analog
converter.
Connect to the antenna input of FM the dipole
antenna provided or preferably to an external FM
antenna.
Connect your loudspeaker cables between AMP and
your loudspeakers.
Your system is now ready for your listening pleasure.

CD PLAYER FRONT PANEL
1 DISPLAY :
•Provides all operational information.
2 STAND-BY :
•To switch the unit in and out of Standby mode. A
single bar illuminates when in Standby mode.
3 MODE :
•To switch the digital output on or off.
4 NEXT/FFWD :
•Selection of the next track.
•To forward search during play.
5 PREV/FREV :
•Selection of the previous track.
•To reverse search during play.
•To replay the current track during play.
6 PLAY/PAUSE :
•To start play.
•To pause during play.
7 STOP/DISC :
•To stop play.
•To clear a program in stop mode.
•To open or to close the cd tray.
DISPLAY
TRACK : Indicates the number of tracks on a disc or
in a selected program in stop mode. Indicates the
actual playing track number during play.
TOTAL TIME : Indicates the total disc or program time
in stop mode. Indicates the total elapsed time since
the beginning of the disc in play mode.
TOTAL REM(aining) TIME : Indicates the remaining
time on the disc in play mode.
REM(aining) TIME : Indicates the remaining time of
the playing track.
TIME : Indicates the elapsed time of the playing track.
PROGRAM : Indicates the presence of a program.
Blinks when selecting a track to be added or removed
from a program.
SCAN : Indicates that the player is only reading the
first 10 seconds of each track.
SHUFFLE : Indicates random play mode.
A→B :Indicates when you have chosen to repeat a
selected passage.
REPEAT : Illuminates to indicate that you have
chosen to repeat the playing of a disc or a program.
REPEAT 1 : Illuminates to indicate that you have
chosen to repeat the playing track.
PLAY
•Press the STAND-BY key to bring CD into
operational mode.
•Press the PLAY/PAUSE to begin playing a disc.
◊The number of the playing track always appears
underneath the TRACK indicator and its elapsed time
underneath the TIME indicator.
◊The disc will always stop at the end of the last
track.
•If you wish to stop playing a disc press
STOP/DISC.
•Press STAND-BY to place the machine in Standby
mode.
WARNING!
- If the CD tray is pushed manually when a disc is
loaded, it will automatically begin to play once the tray
has closed. (AUTOPLAY).
- If you press PLAY/PAUSE whilst in play mode, the
PAUSE indicator will illuminate. To release from the
pause mode, press this key again.
TRACK SELECTION (0-9)
•You may directly access any track by utilising the
numeric keypad of the remote control
handset.( Tracks with 2 digits should be keyed in
within 2 seconds )
•You may also access track selection by use of the
NEXT or PREV keys.
SEARCH
•Continual pressure on the PREV/FREV key will
allow you to search for a passage in reverse direction;
continual pressure on the NEXT/FFWD key will allow
you to search for a passage in the forward direction.

◊The time that you continue to press the key
determines the speed of the search: for the first three
seconds the output volume is reduced after three
seconds the search speed is increased and the sound
is muted.
SCAN MODE (SCAN)
•Press the SCAN key in either Stop or Play mode.
◊The SCAN indicator will illuminate and CD will now
play the first 10 seconds of each track.
•Should you find a track that you wish to play
completely, press the SCAN key again.
SHUFFLE MODE (SHUFFLE)
•Press the SHUFFLE key before or during Play.
◊The SHUFFLE indicator will illuminate and CD will
now play each track in a random order.
•Press the SHUFFLE key to return to normal Play
mode.
A/B REPEAT (A / B)
•Press the A / B key while in play at the starting
point of the passage that you wish to repeat.
◊A
→ will illuminate.
•Press again the A / B key at the final point of the
passage that you wish to repeat.
◊A
→ Bwill illuminate and the selected passage will
continuously repeat.
◊Press the A / B key to cancel the A/B mode.
REPEAT (REPEAT)
•Press the REPEAT key before or during Play.
◊The REPEAT indicator will illuminate and the disc
will be repeated continuously.
•Press the REPEAT key again and the indicator
REPEAT 1 will illuminate.
◊REPEAT 1 will indicate that the current playing
track will be repeated continuously.
•Press the REPEAT key to cancel the REPEAT
mode.
TIME INFORMATION (TIME)
•Press the TIME key during Play if you wish to
know the elapsed time since the beginning of the disc.
(TOTAL TIME).
•Press the TIME key again if you wish to know the
remaining time on the disc. (TOTAL REM TIME).
•Press the TIME key again if you wish to know the
remaining time of the playing track (REM TIME).
•(TRACK TIME). is the default information mode.
•Press the TIME key again if you wish to return to
the default mode which is the elapsed time of the
playing track ( TRACK TIME ).
PROGRAMMING (PROG)
You may program a maximum of 20 tracks at any
time.
•Select the number of the track that you desire to
store by using the numeric keypad (0-9) or by using
the PREV/FREV or NEXT/FFWD keys.
•Store your choice by pressing the PROG key.
◊Each time you store a track, the display will show
the number of stored tracks and the total time of this
selection.
•Press the PLAY/PAUSE key to start playing your
selection.
•When the selection has finished, press the
STOP/DISC key again to clear the selection.
DIGITAL OUTPUT (MODE)
You can activate the Digital output by pressing on the
MODE key. This is necessary if you wish to use a
separate Digital to analog converter or if you wish to
make a Digital recording.
◊dO On is displayed when the output is activated.
◊dO Off is displayed when the output is
deactivated.
This will be shown on the display for 2 seconds.
ABSOLUTE PHASE INVERSION ( Φ).
This function is only accessible via the remote control
handset.
•One press of the Φkey while in play mode only will
invert the absolute phase condition.
◊The display will indicate the status of the phase
mode : Ph 0 or Ph 180 and will revert back to normal
display mode after 2 seconds..
◊The two dots of the display will blink in case of
phase reverse. Ph 180.
Note : When you change a disc the player will revert
automatically to the phase 0 position.
Note : Inverting the phase of the CD player allows
you to rectify any phase inversion elsewhere in the
reproduction process. It is important for accurate
reproduction of music to respect the correctness of
reproducing a recording of a pressure by the playback
of the equivalent and not by a depression.
Correct absolute phase shows up as better control
and more accurate attacks. It is recommended that
you try each disc of your collection and look for the
best reproduction based in the above mentioned
principles.

AMPLIFIER FRONT PANEL
1 DISPLAY : Provides all operational information.
2 STAND-BY : To switch the unit in and out of

3 HEADPHONE : To switch Headphones on and off.
4 MUTE : To mute the output of the amplifier.
5 MON/PRO : To switch in either MONitor or
PROcessor mode.
6/7 INPUT SELECT !: Input selection.
8 ROTARY CONTROL : To control volume and
balance.
DISPLAY
The display indicates :
•On the left side the selected source.
•On the right side the volume level.
INPUT (INPUT SELECT !)
The selection of inputs is made via the
 INPUT
SELECT
! .keys.
•In order to select your choice of input use
successive depressions of the key.
◊The display will indicate the name of the selected
source from the following list : Pho - Cd - tun - dAC -
AU1 - AU2.
VOLUME
The regulation of volume is achieved with the rotary
control located in the centre of the front panel. The
display will indicate a level between 0 and 99.
Note : The rotary control allows access to different
speeds of volume adjustment. If you turn slowly it will
increment in single steps. Fast rotation increases the
speed of the steps. This will allow you to move to the
desired volume with great ease.
HEADPHONE OPERATION(HEADPHONE)
The headphone socket is located on the rear panel of
the unit. The headphone volume setting is
independent of the loudspeaker volume.
•Press the HEADPHONE key.
◊the display will indicate the name of the source and
Hto indicate that the headphones are in operation
along with the specific headphone volume.
Note : When headphones are in use, the loudspeaker
output is automatically disconnected.
•Headphone volume can be adjusted via the central
rotary control.
•Press the HEADPHONE key to return to
loudspeaker operation.
◊The H indicator will disappear and the amplifier will
return to loudspeaker mode in Mute ( an Mwill blink ).
•Press the MUTE key to resume listening.
MONITOR (MON/PRO)
This function allows full record monitoring when
combined with a three head recording device.
•Press the MON/PRO key.
◊The amplifier is now in Monitor mode.
•Press once again the MON/PRO key to return to
normal operation.
BALANCE (HEADPHONE)
•Press the HEADPHONE key for a period of 2
seconds.
◊The display will indicate 0 b 0.
•Set the desired balance using the central rotary
control.
•Press again the HEADPHONE key for a period of
2 seconds to return to normal operation.
Note : The balance is indicated in values of
attenuation. For example a display indication of
-2 b 0 signifies that the left channel is attenuated by
2 dB in comparison to the right channel.
MUTE (MUTE)
•Press this key when you want to put the amplifier
into Mute mode.
◊The display will indicate a Mto the right side of the
selected source and the loudspeakers ( headphones )
will then be automatically disconnected.
•Press again the MUTE key to resume listening.

WARNING !
AMP is not designed to operate with
loudspeakers with an impedance
lower than 4 Ω.
Should you use such loudspeakers,
the reliability of AMP will be
compromised.
Should AMP enter protection mode
(random interruption of sound) it is
essential that the volume be
decreased until such interruptions
cease.
If you continue to operate AMP whilst
it is in protection mode, it will lead to
the destruction of the unit.
AMP is not designed to perform as a
professional device and should never
be used in such applications
Failure to follow the above warnings
may invalidate the products
guarantee.
WARNING !
When AMP is set in AVP mode, AMP
is put automatically to maximum
volume to enable the control of the full
Audio/Video system volume through
AVP.
It is important to put AMP in AVP
mode ONLY if you possess and
have connected the AVP processor.
To safeguard against the damage that
WILL be caused through misuse of the
AVP mode, it is necessary to confirm
your choice of the AVP mode by a
second pressing of the AVP key.
Should you accidentally press on
the AVP key of the remote control
handset, a single press of any
system key ( CD or FM ) will return
AMP to normal operation.

FM TUNER FRONT PANEL
1 DISPLAY : Provides all operational information.
2 STAND-BY : To switch the unit in and out of
Standby mode. A single bar illuminates when in
Standby mode.
3 RF LEVEL : Shows the level of reception.
4 MONO : Switches reception between MONO and
STEREO.
5 MEMORY : To store pre-set stations.
6 SCANNING : To place the unit into automatic
station search mode.
7 MODE : To switch between MANual or Pre-set
operation.
8 ROTARY CONTROL : To access Frequency or Pre-
set selection.
DISPLAY
MEMORY : Blinks to indicate that the memory has
been opened in order to store a pre-set station.
FM : Indicates the frequency range and that the unit is
locked to a transmitting station.
: Indicates the frequency, the mode of
operation and the selected pre-set number.
STEREO : Indicates that the locked station is
transmitting in Stereo mode.
MHz : Indicates the frequency band.
MANUAL TUNING
Manual tuning is useful when you already know the
frequency of the desired station. The display will
indicate MAN to show that you are in MANual mode.
•Turn the central rotary control to the desired
frequency. During operation of the central rotary
control, audio outputs will be muted.
◊The display will indicate FM when the tuner is
locked successfully onto a strong enough incoming
signal.
◊The STEREO indicator will appear if the station
transmits in stereo mode.
Note:. Whilst in Manual mode the rotary control
allows access to different speeds of adjustment. If you
turn slowly it will increment in single steps. Fast
rotation increases the speed of the steps. This will
allow you to move to the desired frequency with great
ease.
AUTOMATIC SEARCH (SCANNING)
Automatic search (scanning) allows you to scan the
frequency band upwards ( short press ) or downwards
( long press ).
•Press on the SCANNING key ( short or long press
depending upon the desired scanning direction ) FM
will start to scan until it finds the next station of
sufficient strength, whereupon the FM indicator will
light.
•If this is not a desired station, please repeat the
operation.
Note : The display indicates SCN whilst scanning and
returns to MAN once it has locked to a station.
PRESET STATIONS
Through the pre-set mode you can store and access
up to 19 stations.
To store a station
•Locate the station that you wish to store either by
manual or scanning mode.
•Press once on the MEMORY key to open the
memory.
◊The display will indicate the first available pre-set
(ex. : P5) or P- - should the memory be empty. The
MEMORY indicator will blink.
•Select the desired pre-set number (from 1 to 19)
with the central rotary control.
•Press the MEMORY key to store your selection.
Repeat this process to store your other selected
stations.
Note : Any station that you store to an existing pre-set
will automatically overwrite the previous stored
station.
Access to pre-set stations
•Press the MODE key to access the pre-set mode.
•The display will indicate the pre-set number and
the corresponding frequency.
•Turn the central rotary control to access the
desired pre-set number.
•In order to return to manual mode, press the
MODE key.

Note : When in pre-set mode, you only have access
to stored pre-set stations. The display will indicate
ALL FREE if there are no stored stations.
POSITIONING THE ANTENNA (RF LEVEL)
•Tune FM to a strong local station (ex : BBC).
•Press the RF LEVEL key.
◊The display will indicate the level of reception on a
scale of 0 to 9. The higher the number, the stronger
the signal.
•Move the antenna until you obtain the strongest
possible signal.
Note : It is not always possible to obtain maximum
reception level with a dipole antenna. It is always
preferable to use an externally mounted device.
STBY
The STBY key on the remote control handset allows
you to put the all system in standby mode
simultaneously.
uDISPLAYt
These two keys enable you to adjust simultaneously
the brightness of the displays of each unit to either
high or low luminosity.
CD
The CD key of the remote control handset brings CD
into operational mode. It also switches on AMP and
selects automatically the Cd input.
FM
The FM key of the remote control handset brings FM
into operational mode. It also switches on AMP and
selects automatically the Tuner input.
AVP
The AVP key of the remote control handset brings
AVP into operational mode. It also switches on AMP
and selects automatically the AVP mode.
WARNING !
When AMP is set in AVP mode, AMP is put
automatically to maximum volume to enable the
