youshouldfollowforkeepingthecameraingood
operatingconditionaregivenbelowandatvarious
placesthroughoutthetext.
•Alwayskeepyourcamerainitscasewiththelens
cappedwhennotinuse,orwitha bodycaponwhena
lensisnotattached.
•NopartoftheX-700shouldbeforcedatanytime.
Ifoperationisnotasyouthinkitshouldbe,carefully
restudytheapplicableinstructionsorconsultan
authorizedMinoltaservicefacility.
•Neversubjectyourcameratoshock,highheat
and/orhumidity,water,orharmfulchemicals.Be
particularlycarefulnottoleaveitintheglove
compartmentorotherplacesinmotorvehicleswhere
itmaybesubjecttohightemperatures.
•Neverlubricateanypartofthebodyorlens.
•Nevertouchtheshuttercurtainsorthefrontinside
partofthebodywithfingersorotherobjectsorblow
againstthem,asdoingsomightdamagethealignment
andmovementofeitherthecurtainsormirror.
•Externalcameraandlensbarrel— butnotglass—
surfacesshouldbewipedwitha soft,silicone-treated
clothnowandthen,especiallyafterusingthecamera
nearsaltwater.
•Itisrecommendedtohaveyourcameracleaned
onceperyearatanauthorizedMinoltaservicefacility.
