Beforepositioningthestair,alwayscheckthebearingcapacityofthepavement.
Allgalvanisedmetalpartsaremadetosize.Undernocircumstancemustanymetalpartbepierced,cut
etc.topreventtheonsetofrust,withtheexceptionoftheGancioandtheFermoBlock.
Structureandsteps
1) Preparetheintermediatestepsandthelanding,assemblingtheplasticbushinginthespecialholesfor
insertionofthethrough‐columns.Directtheholeonthebushfortheinsertionofthelockingdowel
towardthecenterofthestep.
2) Assemblethepoleinthesequenceindicated,lockingtheelementsfirmlytogether,leveringusinga
pinintheholesinthetubes.
3) Positionthepoleinrelationtothehole,placingthelandingstepontheexitsideofthestaircase.
Checkforexactperpendicularitytothefloor. Beforesecuringtheplatform,makesureofitsperfect
horizontalitybytheuseoftheleveltube.Beforetakingthemeasureoftheholesinthefloorforthe
centerpole,blocktemporarilytheplatformonthepoletoavoidtravelingandmeasurementerrors.
4) Securetheplateusingscrewsanddowels.Inthecaseofwoodenfloor/slabuseonlyscrewsforwood,
ofthehangerbolt/legbolttype,toreplacethoseprovidedexclusivelysuitedtoreinforcedconcrete.
5) Adjusttheplasticspacersbytighteningthethreadedringnut,leavingadistanceofA‐170between
thetwobeats.(RememberthatA=HT/n°steps).
Attention.Inthefirstrise,fromtheaverageheightoftheplasticspacermustbedeductedthe
thicknessofthecentralpoleplate.
Itisnecessarytogiveahalfturnmoretotheflangeofallplasticspacers,soastoincreasetheaverage
heightandrecoverthetolerancesofthethreadingwhenyoucompactthestair.
6) Inserttheelementsinthepole,startingfromtheplatecoverandcontinuingwiththespacersand
steps.Overturnthefirstspacerinordertoregulatethefirstriser.
7) Positionthelandingatthecorrectexitpointandsecureittothewallwithwallanchors.Inthecaseof
woodenfloor/slabuseonlyscrewsforwood,ofthehangerbolt/legbolttype,toreplacethose
providedexclusivelysuitedtoreinforcedconcrete.
8) Inserttheterminalflange,thethreadedbarandtheterminalinthepole,thentightenusingthenut,
inordertocompressthestaircase,butleavingthestepsfreetorotate.
Railing
Arrangethecolumns,rememberingthatthe116.5cmcolumnsaretheonesthatpassthroughthesteps.
Thesecolumnsdefinetheexactpositionofthetreads.
Donotsecurethecolumnstothestep“permanently”,becausetheywillhavetobeadjustedfurther
duringinstallation,toreachthecorrectposition.Donotfullytightenallthefixingdowelsofthepassing
balustersbeforehavingcompactedthewholestair.Finishthedefinitivetighteningonlyafterhaving
completelyscrewedthethreadedrodwithaM22nut.
9) Insertthecolumnsinallthesteps,securingthethroughonesusingthedowels,andthoseonthestep
withtherelativeplasticfastenings.
Fortheassemblyofplasticcomponentsoftherailingalwaysusethelubricatinggrease.Lockwellthe
plasticinsertintheouterbushofplastic,beforeinsertingitinthebaluster.Donottightenthedowel
toohardbecauseitcoulddamagethecolumnduringitsfittingintothehole:checkitbeforeinserting
thecolumnintothehole.
10) Constructthetopofthecolumnandsecureitpermanentlytothehandrail,tiltingitaccordingtothe
slopofthestaircase.
11) Thefirstcolumnofthestaircasemustbesecuredtotheground.Donotcutthefirstbalusterto
preventtherust.Thehandrailonthefirststepwillnotfollowperfectlytheinclinationofthestair.In
thecaseofwoodenfloor/slabuseonlyscrewsforwood,ofthehangerbolt/legbolttype,toreplace
thoseprovided.
12) Therailingcolumnshavedifferentheightsdependingonthediameterofthestaircase.Checkthe
exactlocation,asshowninthediagram.
