Ice Shaver

Read all instructions carefully, even if you feel
that you are familiar with the appliance.
• To protect against the risk of electric shock,

plug in water or an other liquid. Detachable

leave an appliance unattended when in use.

Congratulations on the purchase of our new
Frost the Snowman®.
You can now make ic snow drinks in minutes for
ou and our friends. Frost the Snowman® is also
great for making impressive iced cocktails and
desserts. With unique, refillable s rup bottles and
snow cone cups, ou can start to create ic snow
drinks immediatel .
Before first using our new Frost the Snowman®,
it is most important that ou read and follow the
instructions in this use and care booklet, even if ou
feel ou are familiar with this t pe of appliance.
Your attention is drawn particularl to the section
dealing with IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS. Find a safe
and convenient place to keep this booklet hand for
future reference.
This appliance has been designed to operate from a
standard domestic power outlet. It is not intended
for industrial or commercial use.
Before first use
Carefull unpack Frost the Snowman® and remove
all packaging materials.
Wash all detachable parts in warm soap water and
dr thoroughl . These parts are not dishwasher safe.
Use a damp cloth to clean the exterior of the motor
unit.
Note: Do not immerse the motor housing in
water or any other liquid.
Ice blocks
Fill the ice moulds with cold water until the are
almost full and secure the lids. Place them horizontall
in the freezer and allow them time to freeze
completel .
Note: Do not put regular ice cubes into Frosty
the Snowman®. You must use the specially
shaped ice moulds provided.
Making a frosty snow drink
Remove the motor housing from the ice chamber.
Remove an ice block from an ice mould and place
the ice block flat side down in the ice chamber. Onl
remove the required ice moulds from the freezer to
avoid ice blocks melting before use.
Note: Frosty the Snowman® will only shave one
block at a time.
Fill the s rup bottles with flavouring of our choice
(cordial is recommended).
Place a cup under the ice chamber to catch the snow
as it falls. You will be surprised how much snow one
ice block can create!
Place the motor housing on top of the ice chamber.
Press down the top of Frost the Snowman® and it
will automaticall begin producing snow. Press down
harder if snow is not produced.
Note: Two or three millimeters of ice will be left
in the ice chamber after each ice block is shaved.
Remove it before inserting a new ice block.
Serve with a squirt of flavouring from the s rup bottles.
Note: Do not run Frosty the Snowman®
continuously for more than 5 minutes at a
time, as doing so will overheat the motor
and reduce the life of the appliance.

How to make a frosty fruit drink
Blend or process an fruit ou like (such as strawberries
,
bananas, apples, watermelon etc) until it is smooth.
Strain.
Pour the fruit puree into the ice moulds and freeze
for 16 hours or until completel frozen.
Remove the frozen fruit ice blocks from the ice
mounds, place them into the ice chamber flat side
down and begin shaving.
Experiment with different fruit combinations for
delicious and health treats.
Garnish with fruit accompaniments or top with
s rup or liquor.
How to make a frosty milk drink
Pour an milk based drink (such as iced coffee,
malted milk or strawberr milk) into the ice moulds
and freeze for 16 hours or until completel frozen.
Remove the frozen milk ice blocks from the ice
mounds, place them into the ice chamber flat side
down and begin shaving.
Serve with our favourite fruit toppings or eat all on
its own.
How to make a frosty soft drink
Pour water into the ice moulds and freeze for 16 hours
or until completel frozen.
Remove the ice blocks from the ice mounds, place
them into the ice chamber flat side down and begin
shaving.
Fill the s rup bottles with soft drink and add it as ou
shave the ice block.
Switch off and unplug Frost the Snowman® from
the power outlet.
Note: Do not place any part of Frosty the
Snowman® in the dishwasher.
Wipe the exterior of the motor housing with a soft
damp sponge or cloth. Dr thoroughl . Do not pour
water or an other liquid into the motor housing
or immerse the motor housing in water or an
other liquid.
The ice moulds and s rup bottles can be washed in
warm soap water.

Fruit freeze
2 bananas
11⁄2 cups shaved ice
2⁄3cup buttermilk
1⁄4cup sugar
Cut bananas into 2.5cm chunks.
Blend all ingredients, except for the shaved ice,
together in an electric blender until smooth.
Pour over shaved ice and serve immediatel ,
garnished with banana pieces.
Makes 3 serves.
Strawberry & banana health shake
1 cup orange juice
3 tablespoons non-fat powdered dr milk
1⁄4fresh banana
3⁄4cup strawberries
1⁄2cup shaved ice
Mint sprigs (for garnish)
Blend all ingredients, except for the shaved ice,
together in an electric blender until smooth.
Pour over shaved ice and serve immediatel ,
garnished with strawberries and mint sprigs.
Makes 4 serves.
Tropical fruit cooler
4 tablespoons pineapple juice
4 tablespoons orange juice
15ml coconut cream
11⁄2kiwi fruit, sliced, skin removed
1⁄2banana, cut into chunks
1 orange slice, skin removed
1 pineapple slice, hulled
4 strawberries
1⁄2cup shaved ice
Blend all ingredients together in an electric blender
until smooth.
Garnish with orange and pineapple slices.
Makes 1 serve.

3 tablespoons orange juice
3 tablespoons pineapple juice
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon grenadine
1⁄2cup shaved ice
Add all ingredients except the shaved ice to a
cocktail shaker or a large screw top jar. Shake until
well blended, about 40 seconds and pour over
shaved ice.
