The cubes can be operated with the remote control unit or control software ”Wallaby”(page22).
1.3.1 Remote control unit
Face the remote control toward the screen on eachcube to control.
Or facing to the MASTER cube (page 20) directs other cubes.
The supplied cable withthe remote control can be connected directly to the wired
remote control port on the imagingmonitors to control.

1.3.2 Operation mode
The monitors have 2 operation modes: “normal mode” and “advanced mode”. The normal mode is for usual
operation, and advanced mode for set-up and adjustment. [NORMAL] button switches the modes when no
adjustment menu is displayed.This status bar is shown on screen in advanced mode.

Remote ID
An individual monitor can be controlled remotely. Specify it with [FUNC] button followed by 2-digit unit ID number.
Specifying 00 means that all monitors will be controlled.To control only ID 1 monitor, press [FUNC] + [1] + [ENTER].
•Arrow keys after [FUNC] can also specify the ID. Left/rightbuttons change the ID by 1 and up/down buttons by 10.
Press [ENTER] button to confirm.
•Remote ID switch is also available even when the menus are displayed on the screen.
Test patterns
[TEST] button shows internal test patterns. Every press cycles through the patterns in the following order.
Full-bit white -> Crosshatch ->Adjustment white -> Gradation ->Colorbar ->Testpatternoff -> (Full-bit white)
•[R] / [G] / [B] button mutesthe red / green /blue color for the monitors.
•[MUTE] button mutes the status bar on test patterns.
•When full-bit white test pattern shows, [MUTE] button turns off the LED light source. When press [MUTE] button
again or press [TEST] button and the next test pattern shows, turn on the LED light source.

Basic menu operations
•The up/down arrow buttons on the remote control
move the yellow cursor to select menus.
•In a menu with “>”mark on the right, [ENTER] button
shows its lower layer menu. [ESC] button restores the
original upper menu.
•In a menu with an enter mark on the right, [ENTER]
button confirms or executes the menu.
•The left/right arrow buttons change the value in a
menu with left/right triangle marks.
•When values are changed in a menu, mark
appears. Save the change according to the necessity.
- In WINDOW PRIORITY menu, the mark appears
when an input memory in any of the windows is
changed.
- In INPUT MEMORY menu, the mark appears when
an input memory in the top window is changed.
•In the menu displaying, [MENU1] button changes the
menu GUI to the simple one. The image area behind
the menu can be observed widely. Re-pressing the
same buttonrestores the original menu.
•Menus are not displayed when the monitors are
controlled byWallaby.
TOP menu
The TOP menu is displayed by [MENU1] button on the
remote control in advanced mode. Starting from the
top menu, any lower menus can be choosen.
•Allocated short-cut buttons also allow you to access
each menu directly, not-through theTOPmenu.
INFORMATION menu
It shows various status information on screen.

•This product requires special installation to prevent falling
or toppling.This should be done by installationspecialists.
•Be sure to read this manual and the user’s manual for your
safety before starting assembly or installation.
•Be sure to use supplied accessories for assembly or
installation.
•Attach all the screws and fixtures specified in this manual
securely.
•Use qualifiedelectricians to perform electrical work.
•This apparatus must be grounded. Only use electrical
outlets with earth leakage circuitbreakers.
•Only use the specified powersupply cord.
•Reinforce the wall surface and floor so that it can support
the total weights of the products permanently and resist
earthquakes, possible vibrations, and external forces.
•Ensure that the safety factor is more than10 (or ensure that
the total bolts can bear ten times the weight of products
and the brackets).
•Inspect the mounting fixings more than once in a year as
needed.
•Do not use the product near a heater or in a humid, dusty
or smoky location.
•Do not install the product with its intakes, exhaust slots
and ventilation holes blocked. Inside the unit mayoverheat
and cause a fire or breakdown.
•Be sure that a lighting or sunlight does not leak into the
screens.
•Be sure to mount/demount the screen by 2 or more people.
These works may be perilous particularly on a height or a
narrow scaffold.
•About one-meter space is needed in front of the screens
for the opening. Prior to work, make sure that there is no
object such as steps in the working space.
•Open/close the screen units one-by-one in a display wall
with making sure if adjacent screens are surely shut so as
not to shift the center of gravity too much.
•To prevent cubes from toppling during screen
open/close, use the support base contained in the
cube carton boxes when the cubes are not fixed to a
base stand or other cubes.
•Be careful not to pinch your fingers while sliding the
screen holdingarms.
Vertical tiling
•As the number of products installed in vertical tiling
increases, the temperature condition gets worse in
the upper monitors. For installation, no stacking over
three (3) tiers is acceptable. Inquire about the
installationover three (3) tiers.
Ventilation
•Exhaust hot air gets stacked above the product.
Leave a space of at least the dimensions illustrated
below around the product so as to release the
exhaust heat and flow enough fresh air from the
back and bottom.

Preparation
Handling of the screens
Because the screen is large and heavy, the screen
should be heldcarefully.
•To prevent the screen from damage or breakage,
carry the screen by two ormore people.
•Hold the short sides of the screen frame or the
corners when picking up the screen. Holding the
long sides of the frame may damage the screen edge
due to its heavy weight.
LED Safety
The light source within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the
presence of dangerous light radiation.

2.3.1 Screen demounting
Unlocking
Release delivery locking before screen demounting /
mounting.
•Shipping lock bolts (in screen integrated models)
remove 2 shipping lock bolts (M5-45mm, white hex
socketbolts).
This product has no handles, so take out the cabinet
from the carton tray holding the frame of the cabinet
after demounting the screen.
Demounting
1Pull up the screen handles on both sides to draw the
screen unit till locked and put the handles back to
the original positions.
2While pressing the release buttons on both sides to
the end, open the lower part of the screen (about
15°) to pull it upon the skew.
3Put back the screen-holding arms into the cabinet by
pressing down the slide locklever on both sides.

2.3.2 Base stands and cubes assembling
Prepare suitable base stands by yourself to fit the
installationsite.
1Make base stands both level and plumb by means of
alevel.
2Place a cube to be in the bottom row on the base
stand.
3Fix the cube at 4 points with supplied hex socket
head bolts, spring washers and flat washers.
•Tighten the bolts with appropriate force
(suggested torque: 3.9Nm).
To access the rear fixing points, open the cover and
the partition. Take off the cover by pulling the latch
after loosening the screw and the partition by
looseningfour screws.
4Place an adjacent bottom row cube on the base
stand and fix it in the same way.
5Connect these cubes together at 4 points with
supplied hex socket head bolts, spring washers and
flat washers.
To access the rear fixing points, open the covers on
both sides by pulling the latches.
•When making a curved display wall and you have
to remove the connecting plates, put substitute
washers with equivalent strength on the holes.
6Place other cubes for the upper row on the row of
cubes.
7Connect these cubes vertically and horizontally in
the same manner as step 3 and 5.
•To prevent cubes from falling, make sure the cubes
are stably assembled by checking that they are
level.
8After all cubes are joined together, stop up unused
holes on both sides of the cubes with supplied seals
for jointholes.

2.3.3 Screenmounting
Screen mounting
1Draw the screen-holding arms from the cabinet till
locked while pressing down the slide lock lever (on
both sides).
2Mount a screen unit onto the cabinet.
Lifting up the screen unit on a skew (about 15°),
insert the pins in the u-slot on both sides. Push the
lower part of screen down until the screen becomes
upright.
3Push the screen unit along the rails till the end while
pressing down the slide locklever on the both side.
•The screen unit may touch adjacent screens
depending on the screen gap adjustment. Adjust the
gaps appropriately.

2.3.4 Screen gaps adjustment
1Open the screen unit.
2Loosen 3 fixing screws for screen adjustment with a
3mm hex key (fixing screws: 1 for horizontal, 1 for
vertical on each side)
3Adjust the screen position by turning the adjustment
screws with 4mmhex keyso that thescreen gaps will
be as follows:
(H) 2.5mm, (V) 2mm
<H adjusting screw>
One clockwise turn of the screw shifts the screen
0.7mm to the right.
<V adjustingscrew>
One clockwise turn of the screw shifts the screen
0.7mm to the lower.
•Close the screen unit to check the gap and repeat
the steps until being appropriate. Tighten the 5
fixing screws after the adjustment.
•The screens can be rotated by different travel
distance on both vertical adjustment screws.
4After the adjustment, tighten the 3 fixing screws
which have been loosened in the step 2.
•The screen unit may touch adjacent screens
depending on the gap adjustment. Adjust the gaps
appropriately.
Gap adjustment
In case of existing the gap between the screen unit and
the cabinet, adjust the gap by the followingprocedure.
1Loosen 4 screws (2 on each side).
2Tighten the fixing screws on both side drawing the
nail while pressing the screen against the cabinet.

2.3.5 Fixing to the wall and floor
1Firmly fix the base stands onto the floor by means of fixing brackets and/or anchor bolts.
2Fix the upper back part of the cubes to the wall behind by meansof fixing brackets.
•To prevent the cubes from falling due to unpredictable events such as earthquakes or shocks, fix them firmly to
the wall andfloor. Furthermore, carefully confirm the strength of the fixing areas (wall and floor)of the installation
room.The fixingmethod differs depending on the number of cubes.

3.1.1 Connecting
Internal control cablesconnection
From the MASTER monitor (page 20), cascade
CONTROL OUT and CONTROL IN ports sequentially
betweenmonitors with supplied control cables.
The MASTER monitor that is directed by remote control
can control other slave monitors through the control
loop.
•Up to 998 monitors can be connected.
•Do not make aclosed-loop.
Imagesignalsconnection
Connect image input sources to monitors according to
signal configurations to be displayed.
•Refer to “Display memory setting” (page 42) for the
detail of available image window layouts.
External control cablesconnection
External controllers such as personal computers in
which adjustment software, Wallaby has been installed
also cancontrol monitors.
•Through RS-232:
Connect the external controller to the MASTER
monitor (page 20) with RS-232 cross-over cable. The
controller will be able to control the monitors
individually through the internal control loop.
•Through network:
Connect network cables to all monitors to hook
them up with external controllers through network.
Aunique IP address can be assigned to each monitor
(page 24).
•Connect the internal control cables as well, even
when controlling the monitors through network.
The color balance between the monitors is
automatically maintained based on the
information through this control loop (sensor
function: page 29).

Internal cabling
Run cables through the cable covers located on both
sides and top/bottom of the cabinets.
Punch a hole in the center slit of the covers at
necessary points for the cabling.
•To block dust, do not break the covers which are not
used for cabling.
•For the safety reason, do not leave a power strip
inside the cabinet.
For vertical cabling:
Lace the supplied plastic ties through the holes in 1
unit of mount bases on the right side of the cabinet’s
inner surface, and fasten the cables with this tie.
For horizontal cabling:
Lace the plastic ties through the holes in 5 units of
mount bases on the inner surface of the skirt part
underneath the screen area and fasten the cables with
them.
3.1.2 Dipswitch setting
Adequately set the dipswitches on the control panel
according to system configurations.
•Change the switches while the power is off. Turning
on the main power switch renews the setting.
•Normally, there is no need to change the switches #1
and 2.
