setting functions, and to turn the backlight on(press and hold for two seconds).
Read/Select Button - Used to select a pager function, to activate your selection, to navigate

Press and hold "for two seconds. A start-up screen is displayed and your pager activates the initial alert.

The Function Menu provides access to the many features of your pager through the use of symbols.
❶Press "to display the function menu.
The location of the cursor is indicated by inverted symbol.
❷Press #or !to move the cursor within the function menu.
As you move through the Function Menu, the function symbols

Your pager can receive up to 20 personal messages. When a message is received, your pager alerts
according to the current alert setting (audible, vibrate, or no alert).
-Reading an Incoming Message
❶Press to display your message. Press again to read the next screen.
❷Press #or!to go back to the first screen of the message.
-Previewing/Reading/Deleting/locking/unlocking/Moving to Notebook a Stored Message
❶Press #or to display the message menu.
❷Press to display message preview screen. Press #or!to preview the message you want to read.
❸Press to read the detailed message. Press again to read the next screen.
If you want to delete/lock/unlock or move to Notebook the message while reading it, press and hold
for two seconds to display Message Manipulate Screen. Press #or!to move the cursor to the desired
function, and press to activate it.

❹If you want to go back to the preview screen, press ".
Note: When an unread message exists, your pager gives a periodic reminder alert (every 3 minutes)
until all unread messages are read. A on the pager status line indicates that you have unread messages.
Reminder alert is enabled or disabled through the Function Menu. Reminder alerts on, off.

Display Zoom
When this feature is activated, the standard 4-line ( 20 characters per line) display is converted
to a 4-line ( 15 characters per line) or 8-line ( 20 characters per line) display.
-To select Display Zoom
❶Press "to display the Function Menu.
❷Press #to move the cursor to , or (current setting).
❸Press to select desired zooming step ( ).
Deleting Messages
-To Delete Single Message while Reading It
❶From the Message Manipulate Screen, press!to move the cursor to .
❷Press to delete the message.
-To Delete All Unlocked Messages
❶From the Function Menu, press #to move the cursor to .
❷Press . “Delete All ?” screen is displayed.
❸Press!to move the cursor to Y.
❹Press . All unlocked messages are deleted.
Note: Notebook messages are not deleted with this feature.
Locking and Unlocking Messages
Up to 10 messages can be locked to prevent them from being deleted
or from being replaced when memory is full. When a message is locked,
the symbol displayed on the Time Stamp line while reading the message.
-To Lock or Unlock a Message while Reading it

Notebooks
Your pager has eight notebook areas for storing personal messages.
-Storing Personal Messages in Your Notebooks
❶From the Message Manipulate Screen, press#or!to move the cursor to .
❷Press . The message is now in the Notebook.
-Reading/Deleting Messages in Your Notebooks
❶From the Message Read Menu Screen, press!to move the cursor to .
❷Notebook messagesare readand deleted the same way as personal messages.

Note: Notebook messages are deleted one at a time. Storing to notebook is not activated when it is full.
Maildrop/Information Service
Your pager has eight Maildrop areas (Each area has four rooms for storing maildrop messages).
-Reading Messages in Your Maildrop
❶From the Message Read Menu Screen, press#or!to move the cursor to .
❷Maildrop messages are read the same way as personal messages.
-Turning Maildrop Alerts On and Off
❶From the Function Menu Screen, press#or!to move the cursor to alert on
or alert off.
❷Press to turn the maildrop alert on or off.

Note: The current Alert setting ( , , ) is also displayed on the pager status line.

❺Repeat steps 3 and 4 to select another pattern.

Setting the Alarm

Setting the Auto Power On/Off

❷Press to display the Set Auto Power On/Off screen.
❸Press #or !to enable or disable auto-power-on/off.
❹Press to move the cursor to auto-off hour digits.
❺Press #or !to adjust the hour of auto-off time.
❻Repeat steps 4 and 5 to adjust the minutes and auto-on time .
❼Press "to activate the auto-power-on/off setting.

Adjusting LCD Brightness
❶From the Function Menu, press #or !to move the cursor to .

Setting the Auto Reset Time (Duration of Display off Time)

Battery Information
Your pager is designed to operate with a single AAA-size alkaline battery.
-Low Battery Indication
When the battery is low, “LOW BATTERY !” is displayed with beeping at every 4 minutes.
-Replacing the Battery
To replace the battery, proceed as follows:
❶Unlock the battery door by sliding the door latch away from the battery door.
❷Slide the battery door away from the housing to remove it.
❸Remove the old battery and insert new one in the direction shown on the battery compartment.
-Battery Back-up
Your pager has a backup battery for memory retention during battery replacement.
Note: To protect all the memory when you replace the battery, please change old battery to new one
quickly. And avoid too much key operation during replacing battery.
