Thank you for purchasing the ARCT SP-01 staff pager.
These operating instructions describe the instructions for the SP-01 staff pager.
Before connecting, operating this product, p ease read these instructions comp ete y, and save this
manua for future use.
Here by, we dec are that this SP-01 is in comp iance with Part 15 of the FCC Ru es. Operation is
subject to the fo owing two conditions:
(1) This device may not cause harmfu interference, and (2) This device must accept any
interference received, inc uding interference that may cause undesired
operation.

The warranty period and what is covered are according to app ications, contracts or distributors.

Staff pager: SP-01
Do not throw the SP-01 into fire or heat the SP-01. The same applies to the used Ni-H battery.
There is the risk of heat generation, fire, or exp osion.
Do not short positive (+) and negative (-) contact of Ni-H battery.
Dispose of the Ni-H battery after insulating positive (+) and Negative (-) contacts by friction
tape.

Do not charge, use, or leave the SP-01 where temperatures are high such as a place close to fire or
a place under the hot sun. The same applies to the used Ni-H battery.

Precautions for use:
Observe the following to use this product correctly.
Staff pager
Do not open or modify the main unit case.
The Ni-HM battery of S -01 is a consumable. The Ni-MH battery life, which varies with using
conditions, is approximately a year as a guideline, and after a year or approximately over 500
times of recharging, the recharging capability becomes weak. If the battery is exhausted in a
short time after full recharging, replace the Ni-MH battery with new one.
Be sure to use the specified Ni-MH battery.
Do not touch the contact portions of the Ni-MH. Failure to observe the may cause poor
contact.
Recharge the battery pack at ambient temperatures from 5℃ to 35℃.
Charging the S -01 before use.
When the terminal of charging pin becomes dirty, use a dry soft cloth to clean the terminal pin.
Failure to observe this may cause poor contact with the device and cut power supply.
Operation environment and service place
Do not leave this product in a place exposed to high temperature or excessive dust.
Do not put this product where static is likely to be generated or where magnetism generating
devices such as a TV set and a radio are nearby.
Do not leave this product under direct sunshine or at excessive high or low temperatures of
long time.

How to care:
Use a dry soft cloth to remove dirt from this product. When stubborn stains are observed, use
a tightly twisted water soaked cloth to wipe the point softly and use dry another cloth to wipe
the point again.
Do not use thinner, benzene, wax, kerosene, polish, hot water, chemical cloth and the like.
The dirty connector may cause charging failure.

Remove the battery isolation film before using (as below)

Charging
The SP-01 can be p aced on the charger (SPC-01).
1. Insert the unit into the charger, a ow unit to charge fu y overnight (the staff page must be
charged at east 16 hours before use)
2. Remove form charger, and pager wi vibrate, beep and f ash.
3. Rep ace the pager in the charger at the end of each day.

Alarming
The staff pager SP-01 wi a arm a certain type and pattern depending on the a arm mode- A1,
A2, or A3 of the ATX-01. That is se ected from the ATX-01 keypad.
Programming
If a new staff pager number needs to be assigned to a pager, staff pager can be reprogrammed form
the ATX-01 transmitter.
Program Staff pager’s ID number:
Be sure the staff pager is into programming mode -the pager’s indicator LED – Green and Red
LED wi a ternate b inking.

The system support OTA to change Pager’s ID.
1. Press FN
2. Press A2/CHG-ID
3. Enter #(# = Pager ID number)
4. Press ENT
When Change ID over-the-air (OTA) command paging is received:
The Staff pager wi beep one time and return back to charging mode

2. Take out the Ni-HM battery
3. Replace a new Ni-HM battery
When inserting the Ni-HM battery into the unit, make sure that the terminals are correctly
directed.
4. Close the back co er of SP-01
ut back the back cover of the S -01, and fasten screws

Troubleshooting

Reset the SP-01, put the pager on the charger then take it out. It
wi be reset.
Make sure the Ni-HM battery is good.
