K5025
360° MICRO MOTION SENSOR
WITH DUAL OUTPUTS
c Power Circuit Part
d PIR Motion Sensor
INTRODUCTION
K5025 Micro Motion Sensor is a fully automatic indoor
controller capable of controlling up to 2000W lightings /house
appliances or 480W fluorescent lightings. Not only is it a
lighting controller, but also has the capability of detecting
slight motion within a radius of 3m around the sensor. It will
keep the connected light fixture continuously on even when
you are on the phone with slight motion being detected.
It also incorporates lux memory feature which means the
sensor is able to record and memorize the lux level when the
internal connected light fixture is turned on by the Micro
Motion Sensor. However, once the natural light lux level is
higher than that of the internal artificial light even if the
movement still exists, the sensor will switch off the internal
light fixture thus saving the energy.
Simply taking full advantage of its versatile application, you
will enjoy the convenience of its thoughtful design.
Note: Read this entire manual before you start to install
the system.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
zBe sure to switch off power source before installing.
zMake sure that the power wiring comes from circuit with
an external 16A miniature circuit breaker for the short
circuit protection or a suitable fuse.
zThe unit is designed to be affixed on the ceiling.
(FIGURE 1)

•Installation must be performed by skilled technicians
who are informed about the standards and technical
requirements of the appliance and its proper
installation. Please keep min. distance of 6 mm
between live parts and accessible surface after
installation.
CHOOSING A MOUNTING LOCATION
zAvoid aiming the motion sensor at heating vents, air
conditioners or objects which may change temperature
rapidly.
zPrior to mounting the light fixture, remember to position
the motion sensor so that a moving object cuts “across”
its beams, not directly towards them.” (FIGURE 2)
FIGURE 2
Note: Micro motion detection can be made within
a radius of 3m around the sensor; regular motion
detection can be made within a radius of 6m around the
sensor.
INSTALLATION
A drill and a screwdriver are needed for installation. Select
a location for the unit based on the coverage angles shown in
FIGURE 3.

WIRING INSTRUCTION
(1) Switch off the power source or wall switch.
(2) Using a flat blade screwdriver to detach the PIR

(3) When connecting to one Micro Motion Sensor, the wiring
connection is shown hereunder: (FIGURE 5a)
FIGURE 5a
By connecting to two Micro Motion Sensors, the wiring
connection is indicated as below: (FIGURE 5b)
FIGURE 5b
Note: S2 and S4 serve as a pulse switch which allows
manual operation.
(4) The Micro motion sensor is equipped with two outputs
with different main functions:
Output 1: Lighting / house appliance
R1 knob is designed to control output 1’s timer. It gives
you a room to connect to any lighting/house appliance of
which maximum power consumption is lower than Max.
2000W Incandescent or 12 x 40W fluorescent.
Output 2: Dry contact
R2 knob is designed to control output 2’s timer. It allows
you to connect to any lighting/house appliance of which
maximum power consumption is lower than Max. 1000W
Incandescent or 4 x 40W fluorescent, and it is equivalent
to 4A resistive load.
(5) After wiring connection is finished, put the power circuit
part to the wall box and secure it using the screw
provided. Fix the PIR motion sensor to the power circuit
part (FIGURE 6).
FIGURE 6
SETTING THE LIGHTING SYSTEM
Please test the motion sensor function before testing the IR
Remote Controller.
Test Mode :
zTurn the R1, R2 control and the LUX control to the
edge – the TEST position. (FIGURE 7)
FIGURE 7
zTurn on the wall switch. The light will turn on for
about one minute to warm up. During warm-up period,
it is normal when the light turns on or off alternately.
After one minute is expired, the light will turn off.
zWalking through the detection area will turn on the light.
If and when movement is ceased, the light will be on for
one second before turning off.
(1) TIME ADJUSTMENT
The TIME adjustment controls how long the light will stay on

after the motion has been detected. There are two knobs –
R1 & R2 of which duration are different. The duration of R1
knob is from 5 seconds to 12 minutes, whereas R2 is from 10
seconds to 30 minutes. (FIGURE 8)

FIGURE 8
Note: When setting to , it serves as a short-time impulse,
which allows you to control automatic switching of staircase
lighting or timer.
(2) LUX ADJUSTMENT
The LUX adjustment determines at what light level the
connected light fixture of R1 will start operating when you set
the sensor to automatic operation.
The connected light fixture or house appliance of R2 will not
be affected by the LUX adjustment. It will be triggered under
any light level.
When setting to “T” position, the light will be triggered despite
daytime or nighttime, while switching to moon position, the
light will be activated only at nighttime.

Warning:
Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal
waste, use separate collection facilities.
Contact your local government for information regarding the
collection systems available.
If electrical appliances are disposed of in landfills or dumps,
hazardous substances can leak into the groundwater and get
into the food chain, damaging your health and well-being.
When replacing old appliances with new once, the retailer is
legally obligated to take back your old appliance for disposal
at least for free of charge.
