INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
F-WCBT-WT
SAFETY RULES
For operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting information,
visit modernforms.com/help.
1. To reduce the risk of electric shock, ensure electricity has
been turned o at the circuit breaker before beginning.
2. All wiring must be in accordance with the National
Electrical Code “ANSI/NFPA 70” and local electrical
codes. Electrical installation should be performed
by a licensed electrician.
CAUTION: If you feel you do not have enough wiring
knowledge or experience, have your RF wall control installed
by a licensed electrician.
NOTE: A maximum of 2 fans can operate on a circuit through
the supplied wall control.
NOTE: A maximum of 12 fans can operate on a circuit through
an on/o switch or a breaker when utilizing the Modern Forms
app for the fan control (without the wall control in the circuit).
Installing the Wall Control
CAUTION: To prevent electrical shock, ensure electricity has
been turned o at the circuit breaker before beginning.
NOTE: Fan(s) are required to be installed within 30 feet of
the wall control to ensure reliable communication.
NOTE: Wall control is intended for indoor installation only.
NOTE: A maximum of 10 remote controls or wall controls
can be used with a fan.
WALL CONTROL TO WALL OUTLET BOX ELECTRICAL
CONNECTIONS
1. Connect the green wire marked “GROUND” from the wall
control to the copper wire from the wall outlet box that
feeds back to the circuit breaker – important for proper
fan function.
2. Connect the black wire marked “LINE IN” from the wall
control to the black LINE VOLTAGE wire from the wall
outlet box that feeds back to the circuit breaker.
3. Connect the red wire from the wall control to the black wire
from the wall outlet box that feeds up to the fan.

Remember to disconnect the power at the circuit breaker.
1. Carefully tuck the wire connections inside the outlet
box. Secure the wall control with the two (2) wall
control screws provided.
2. Attach the wall mounting plate over the wall switch
and secure with the two (2) wall mounting plate
screws provided.
3. Fasten the wall plate to the wall mounting plate.

4. Connect the white wire from the wall control to the
white (neutral) wire from the wall outlet box.
Wall Control Operation
Restore power to ceiling fan and test wall control as below for
proper operation.
PARING THE WALL CONTROL TO YOUR FAN
Your fan is pre-paired at the factory. No pairing is necessary.
NOTE: For pairing instructions please skip to section 3.
WALL CONTROL BUTTON FUNCTIONS
button: Turns the light ON or OFF.
Press or hold to increase the light level.
Press or hold to decrease the light level.
button: Turns the fan ON or OFF.
Press or hold the button to increase fan speed.
Press or hold the button to decrease fan speed.
ON-OFF Switch: Pull tab to power o in
case of emergency. Not necessary for normal
fan operation.
button: Switch between Summer and Winter Mode.
SUMMER MODE (Counter-Clockwise):
A downward airow creates a cooling
eect. This allows you to set
your air conditioner on a warmer
setting without aecting your comfort.
WINTER MODE (Clockwise):
An upward airow moves warm
air o the ceiling area and
re-distributes the warm air that hovers
around the ceiling to the living space.
This should allow for savings on
heating costs.
NOTE: To operate the reverse button on your fan,
press the button while the fan is running

ON-OFF Switch
NOTE: Your fan features 6 speeds. An audible tone will
indicate when the speed is increased or decreased. When
the fan has reached the minimum maximum speed level
the fan will beep twice.

Multi Location Wiring
1. Install the wall control using the wiring diagram in below.
2. Individually pair each of the wall controls with the fan
receiver using the pairing instructions in section 3.
Fan Wi-Fi Reset
NOTE: This function only resets the Wi-Fi settings.
1. Press and hold the and buttons for 10 sec.
2. The LED will blink green and the receiver will beep to indicate
that Wi-Fi reset is successful.
3. After the Wi-Fi resets, the fan will broadcast itsfactory set
network name beginning with “ModernFormsFan.”
NOTE: Changes to your WiFi network settings (SSID or Security Pass-
phrase) will prevent your fan from connecting to the Wi-Fi network.
You can re-establish connectivity by performing a Wi-Fi Reset and
using the Modern Forms app to reconfi gure the fan to connect to the
network with the new settings.

Factory Reset
Using Wall Control
NOTE: This will remove remote control(s), wall
control(s) and Modern Forms app connections.
1. Press and hold the , and
buttons for 10 seconds
2. The LED will blink green and the
receiver will beep three (3) to
indicate that the is factory reset
is successful.

Breeze Mode
1. Breeze Mode mimics the natural ebb and  ow of winds
in nature by varying the fan speed.
NOTE: Breeze Mode always rotates your fan in the
Summer (CCW) direction
2. To start Breeze Mode, press and
for 4 seconds. The LED will blink green
and the fan will beep.
3. To exit Breeze Mode and return to standard fan mode,
press and for 4 seconds.
The led will blink green and the fan will beep.
Your fan will return to the direction and speed it was
set to prior to entering Breeze Mode.
Pairing
NOTE: Pairing must be completed within
3 minutes of turning the power on to the
fan receiver.
If you need to re-pair your fan or you want
to pair a second wall control:
1. Power cycle your fan by turning o
the power at the circuit breaker.
2. Press and hold and buttons
on wall control for 5-6 seconds.
3. The LED will blink green.
4. The green LED along with audible
beeps will indicate that pairing is successful.
5. Test wall control for functionality.
Unpairing
NOTE: Unpairing must be completed within
3 minutes of turning the power on to the
fan receiver.
1. Within 3 minutes of turning power on,
press and hold the and
buttons for 4 seconds.
2. The LED will blink green, and the re-
ceiver will beep to indicate that purging is successful.

Using Receiver Button
1. Press and hold the reset button on the
receiver until the receiver beeps.
2. Power cycle the circuit to complete
the process.
NOTE: This will remove remote control(s),
wall control(s) and Modern Forms app
connections.
Using Power Switch
This process can be used when it is inconvenient to use one
of the other processes.
NOTE: You must use a switch that cuts power to the fan
receiver for this process to work.
This will reset all fans connected to the switch being used.
1. Turn o power at power switch for 3 seconds.
2. Turn on power for 6 seconds. Turn o power.
3. Turn on power. In approximately 6 seconds the receiver
will beep. When the receiver beeps turn o power.
Repeat step 3 four additional times. On the fourth
repetition the fan will beep three times indicating the
fan has performed a factory reset.
NOTE: This will remove remote control(s), wall control(s)
and Modern Forms app connections.
