The Thermostat Heating/Cooling is room-thermostat working with Pulse Width
Modulation (PWM) to control thermoelectric Actuators. This enhanced way of
control enables a perfect and precise temperature regulation of heating/coo-
ling systems.
The desired room temperature is adjustable in ¼ degree steps. A switch ball
selects the operating mode to turn ON, OFF or set to AUTOMATIC the energy
saving mode (HEATING: Temperature Setback / COOLING: Temperature Setup) .
For the connection and installation of the room thermostat the Mounting Base
AS 1000 is used. It is possible to attach the Thermostat on the Mounting Base at
any time after the construction phase. A separate installation manual with a
detailed clamp connection is delivered with the Mounting Base AS 1000.

Intended use
In the design variant Heating/Cooling Comfort, the thermostat is an
electronic room temperature thermostat for the electric readjust-
ment of water-bearing heating and cooling systems. In this scope,
this system may only be used for the control of thermal actuators.
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for improper use.
Authorised specialists
The electrical installations must be performed according to the
current VDE regulations as well as according to the regulations of
your local electric power utility company. These instructions require
special knowledge corresponding to an officially acknowledged
degree in one of the following professions:
- Electrical Equipment Installer or Electronics Engineer
- Systems Mechanic for sanitary, heating and air condition
technology
according to the profession designations officially announced in
the Federal Republic of Germany, as well as according to compara-
ble professions within the European Community Law.
Sources of danger
Thermostats must be disconnected from the electric supply before
opening them. Only use a dry and solvent-free, soft cloth for clea-
ning.
Emergency
De-energise the entire single room regulation system.

Switch Ball
Energy saving mode „ON“. Independently of
external signals, the temperature setback is
activated manually and the temperature is
reduced/increased by 2-6 K.
Energy saving mode „OFF“. No temperature
setback / setup in this mode.
The thermostate works in normal mode.
Energy saving mode „AUTOMATIC“. Depending on the signal from a HKmo-
dul or a timer ,the energy saving mode is turned on resp. turned off.
(ON: connected to L1)
Indicator Symbol ICE CRYSTAL
The symbol ICE CRYSTAL illuminates when the
mode COOLING is active. The Change-Over input is
connected through an external contact with L1
or the thermostat receives the signal COOLING.
through the setback channel of a Basis HKmodule.
When using a HK-module the CO-Output is not
inquired.
Indicator Symbol MOON
MOON illuminates, if temperature setback is
activated.
