In this section, we go over everything you need to
know to set up your Customer Facing Display for use
with the PAYD Pro Plus App.

they are being input.
This guide explains how to set up the Customer
Display for use with the PAYD Pro Plus App.
Introduction
Introduction

PAYD Pro Plus® Mobile Solution Customer Display: Reference Guide 3
Before you get started
1. Please confirm that you have all the necessary items for the Customer Display solution:
Two (2) Apple® iPads®
Display stand (compatible with your
Apple iPad)
Wi-Fi network
2. Ensure that your Apple iPads are both connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
3. Ensure that the PAYD Pro Plus App is installed on one of your iPads, and that you are able to sign in and use
the App. Refer to the PAYD Pro Plus® Mobile Solution: Configuration Guide for more information on
downloading, signing in, and configuring the PAYD Pro Plus App. This guide is available at
moneris.com/support-paydproplus-mobile.
Important notes
Stand setup
Set up the stand for your Customer Display iPad by following the manufacturer’s setup and installation
instructions. Secure the stand to your counter in the location where you will be serving your customers, then
secure the iPad to the stand.
Note: A variety of stands are available from Moneris. Visit shop.moneris.com to order yours today.
Terminology in this guide
Here are some terms to keep in mind when reading the instructions in this guide:
The Primary iPad – this term refers to the iPad that has the PAYD Pro Plus App installed on it. This is the iPad
you use to operate the App to process customer transactions and perform configuration.
The Secondary iPad – this term refers to the iPad that will serve as the Customer Display.
PAYD Pro Plus App – this term refers to the PAYD Pro Plus App that you use to interact with your customers
and process their transactions.
Customer Display App – this term refers to the Customer Display App that you will install on the Secondary
iPad.

PAYD Pro Plus® Mobile Solution Customer Display: Reference Guide 4
If you don’t have a Wi-Fi network
It is possible to have the primary and secondary iPad connect in a peer-to-peer network.
The primary iPad requires 3G, 4G, or LTE service (e.g. needs a SIM card and cellular service).
On the secondary iPad, ensure Wi-Fi is enabled, but the iPad is not connected to any Wi-Fi network. This
should allow the iPads to communicate when they are in close proximity to one another.
Note: This is not the preferred method of connection. It is preferable to connect the iPads to a secure Wi-Fi
network to ensure a stable connection.
PAYD Pro Plus help resources
The PAYD Pro Plus App has a suite of supporting documentation that explain how to set it up and use it to serve
your customers and process their transactions. These resources are available at moneris.com/support-
paydproplus-mobile.

Downloading and installing the Customer Display App
Follow these instructions to download and install the free Customer Display App on your secondary iPad.
1. From the home screen of your Apple iPad, open the App Store®.
2. In the Business category, search for "Moneris Customer Display", then select the app.
3. Tap GET, and then tap INSTALL.
4. When prompted, enter your Apple ID and password, and then tap OK.
5. When the installation is complete, your Apple iPad’s home screen displays the Customer Display App icon
().
6. If you have more than one iPad that you are going to use as a Customer Display, repeat steps 1-5 above to
install the Customer Display App on the other eligible iPads.
Important: If you have more than one PAYD Pro Plus lane for processing customer transactions i.e. you have 3
Apple iPads and PIN Pads to be able to process customer transactions simultaneously, each lane could
potentially have its own Customer Display. The Customer Displays work with the PAYD Pro Plus App on a one-
to-one ratio, meaning the PAYD Pro Plus App installed on one of your iPads will work with one Customer
Display App installed on another iPad. Assuming you have 3 lanes, you could potentially use 3 additional iPads
as Customer Displays.
Note: If you wish to increase the number of lanes at your location, contact your Moneris sales rep for further
information.
