Use the mode button to select between the dierent display modes.
Mode Button – As well as selecting between the dierent display modes, in the event that
the low oil pressure alarm is activated, press 3 times to cancel the alarm.

SAFETY ADVICE
SAFE WORKING PRACTICE
Please read through the Safe Working Practice to ensure prevention of injury or
damage to the device.
• Do not use this product for anything other than its intended purposes.
• Ensure you have read and fully understood the instruction manual and safety advice
before using this product.
• Do not touch the output terminals during operation.
• Do not operate in wet conditions.
• Do not operate with wet hands.
• Check all power cables for damage prior to operation. If any damage is identified, do
not use the cable.
• Keep cables away from sources of heat, sharp objects, or moving parts.
• Only connect equipment to the generator that is appropriately rated for this generator.
• Always use cables that are capable of handling the voltage and loads produced by the
generator.
• Always use Diesel to re-fuel the generator. Do not use Petrol, Kerosene, or any other
type of fuel.
• Always use the generator on a flat level surface. If the generator is operated on an
incline, then the engine lubrication will not operate correctly and could lead to serious
damage to the generator.
• Always switch o the generator before re-fueling.
• Never re-fuel the generator while it is still hot.

• Avoid spillages when re-fueling. If spillages occur, then always clean up before
operating the generator.
• Perform a visual check for any signs of leaks prior to operating the generator. If any
leaks are found, do not use until repaired.
• Keep flammable liquids away from the generator when in use.
• Do not smoke whilst operating or re-fueling the generator.
• Always keep spare or unused fuel in an appropriate container designed for such use.
• Wear protective clothing whilst operating the generator.
• Some parts of the generator will get hot during operation, take care not to touch hot
components
• Always keep children and animals away from the generator whilst in use.
• We recommend the use of ear protectors when operating the generator.
• The exhaust fumes contain carbon monoxide, which is highly toxic. Always operate the
generator in an open, well-ventilated area. Never operate indoors.
• Always follow proper manual handling procedures when moving the generator.
• This generator contains moving parts so always ensure loose clothing or hair is tied
back when operating the generator.
• Apart from daily maintenance and cleaning, all repairs are to be carried out by a
qualified technician.
• Always ground the generator before use. Connect a length of heavy wire between the
generators ground terminal and an external ground device or ground rod.
• Do not connect any equipment to the generator before you start it.

PREPARATION BEFORE FIRST USE
For safety purposes the generator is drained of Fuel and Oil and the battery is drained
of battery acid by the factory prior to transport. You will need to add fuel and oil to the
generator and battery acid before using the generator for the first time.
ADDING FUEL
Only use diesel fuel. Place the generator on a level surface and unscrew the fuel tank cap.
Fill with Diesel only up to red maximum level mark. Do not overfill the fuel tank.
ADDING OIL
Engine oil is the most important factor in determining engine life. The use of poor-quality
oil or not changing the oil regularly can result in the excessive wear on the engine or even
the engine seizing up We recommend the use of 15W 40 grade oil. If you are regularly using
the generator in exceptionally cold environments (under 0OC) 10W 20 grade oil is also
suitable.
Place the generator on a level surface. Unscrew oil inlet cap and fill with oil. You can check
the oil level using the oil dipstick. Do not force or rotate the dipstick in the engine.
ADDING BATTERY ACID
Battery acid can be purchased at a local automotive parts retailer. Fill the battery up to
the high-level mark. Do not over fill as battery acid is corrosive. The battery will have to be
trickle charged for approx. 24 hours to be fully charged.
BLEEDING THE SYSTEM
Once you have added fuel and oil you will need to check for air in the fuel and oil pipelines.
If there is an air bubble you can bleed the system by following the instructions below.
1. Loosen the connecting nut between the fuel injection pump and the fuel pipeline /
loosen the connecting nut between the oil pump and the oil pipeline.
2. Bleed the air from the system.
3. Re-connect and tighten the connecting nut.
NEW ENGINES
New engines need to break-in. The break in period for these engines is approx. 20 hours.
Do not overload the generator during the break-in period, maximum load should be
no more than 75% of maximum rated power. Change the oil aer 20 hours running or 1
month. Thereaer the oil change is required every 100 hours or 3 months.

USER GUIDE
CHECKS BEFORE EVERY USE
Check the following before each use to ensure the generator is safe to use and to prolong
the life of your generator.
LEAKS - Ensure there are no fuel or oil leaks. If you spot any leaks do not use the generator.
FUEL - Ensure you have enough fuel in the fuel tank.
OIL - Check the oil level is within the minimum and maximum markings. The
generator has a low oil pressure alarm and engine cut-o. In the event of low oil-pressure
the generator will automatically switch o to protect the engine from potential damage. In
addition, we do recommend that you regularly check the oil level.
NUTS & BOLTS - Check for loose nuts or bolts and tighten if necessary.
STARTING THE GENERATOR
ELECTRIC STARTING
1. Put the fuel switch lever in the ‘ON’ position.
2. Insert the ignition key and turn the key clockwise to the ‘ON’ position.
3. Put the engine speed lever in the ‘RUN’ position.
4. Turn the ignition key clockwise to the ‘START’ position.
5. Once the engine starts, allow the ignition key to return to the initial ‘ON’ position.
6. If the starter motor doesn’t turn over the engine aer about 10 seconds, release the
key and wait approx. 30 seconds before repeating.
PLEASE NOTE: Excessive use of the starter motor will flatten the battery. Always leave the
ignition key in the ‘ON’ position while the generator in running.
MANUAL (RECOIL) STARTING
1. Put the fuel switch lever in the ‘ON’ position.
2. Turn the engine speed handle to ‘RUN’ position.
3. Pull the starter handle until you feel resistance. The handle will return to its starting
position automatically.
4. Push down the decompression lever once.
5. Firmly holding the starting handle, pull hard and fast and always pull it all the way out.
6. If the engine doesn’t start, retry from step 3.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Always warm up the engine without any load for approx. 3 minutes before attaching
any loads.
2. Check that there no abnormal vibrations or sounds. Check if the engine is misfiring.
Check the colour of the exhaust gas – is it too light or too dark? If you notice any of
these occurring, then switch o the generator.
3. Do not adjust the speed limit regulation bolt or the fuel adjustment bolt as these have
been factory set.
AC OPERATION
1. Increase the speed of the engine to maximum using the engine speed lever
2. Check the voltmeter. Once it points to 230V +/- 5% you can connect an appliance to
the generator.
3. When connecting appliances to the generator, always connect the largest load first.
4. If overloading of the generator causes the AC circuit breaker to trip, reduce the load on
the circuit.
NOTE: Do not start two connected appliances simultaneously. Start one at a time.
If you have connected floodlights to the generator do not connect any other appliances.
DC OPERATION
The DC terminal is only to be used for charging 12V car type batteries.
1. Always disconnect the negative battery cable (Ground cable) before connecting
battery to the generator
2. Start the generator.
3. Connect the charging cable to the battery terminals and then to the generator.
4. Once the battery is charged always disconnect the cables at the generator first.
NOTE: DO NOT reverse the charging cables as this will damage the generator and battery.
Batteries can produce explosive gases while recharging. Charge batteries in a
well-ventilated area.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
STOPPING THE GENERATOR
1. Reduce the speed of the engine using the engine speed lever to its lowest speed.
2. Allow the engine to run without any load for approx. 3 minutes
3. Set the engine speed lever to ‘STOP’ and the fuel cock lever to ‘STOP’
4. Turn the ignition key to the ‘o’ position.
MAINTENANCE
CHANGING THE OIL
It is recommended that you change the oil when the engine is still warm as this will allow
you to drain all the oil from the engine.
Unscrew the oil filler cap. Remove the drain plug and drain the used oil. The drain plug is
located on the bottom of the engine block next to the oil filter. Replace the drain plug and
refill with new oil. Take not to over fill with oil. Use the dipstick to check how much oil is in
the engine. We recommend 15W 40 Grade non- or part-synthetic oil.
CHECKING AND CHANGING THE AIR FILTER
To check the air filter, unscrew the wing nut for the air filter cover and remove the cover.
Remove the air filter element. Do not use detergent to wash the filter element. Clean with
water and allow to completely dry before re-fitting to the engine. The air filter element
should be replaced every 6 months. Do not operate the generator without the filter
attached as this can damage the engine.
CHECKING THE BATTERY
Check the amount of electrolytic solution in the battery once a month. If the level of
electrolytic solution is below the minimum level mark on the battery, then top up with
distilled water.
CHANGING THE FUEL FILTER
First drain all the fuel from the fuel tank. Loosen the small screws on the fuel switch and
remove the fuel filter from the port. Use diesel fuel to clean the filter. To replace the filter
just reverse the step for removing the filter.

Check fuel level and re-fuel if required, Check battery is charged and has enough battery
acid. If you are still unable to start the generator, contact the Customer Support Team.
WHY IS THE GENERATOR NOT STARTING?
First check the voltmeter. It should show the voltage to be 240V +/- 10%. Check the load
rating of the appliance to make sure it is not rated too high for the generator. If you have
more than one appliance connected to the generator, then try un-connecting one of the
appliances.

AVERTISSEMENT
HAUTE TENSION - DANGER D’ÉLECTROCUTION
Veuillez lire les consignes de sécurité afin d'éviter toute blessure ou tout dommage sur
l'appareil.
• N'utilisez pas ce produit à d'autres fins que celles pour lesquelles il a été conçu.
• Assurez-vous d'avoir bien lu et bien compris le manuel d’utilisation et les conseils de
sécurité avant d'utiliser ce produit.
• Ne touchez pas les bornes de sortie pendant le fonctionnement.
• Ne pas utiliser l'appareil dans des conditions humides.
• Ne pas utiliser l'appareil si vos mains sont mouillées.
• Vérifiez que tous les câbles d'alimentation ne soient pas endommagés avant d'utiliser
l'appareil. Si vous constatez un dommage quelconque, n'utilisez pas le câble.
• Maintenez les câbles à l'écart des sources de chaleur, des objets pointus ou des pièces
mobiles.
• Ne connectez au groupe électrogène que des appareils dont la puissance est adaptée
à celui-ci.
• Utilisez toujours des câbles capables de supporter la tension et les charges produites
par le groupe électrogène.
• Utilisez toujours du diesel pour réalimenter le groupe électrogène. N'utilisez pas
d'essence, de kérosène ou tout autre type de carburant.
• Utilisez toujours le groupe électrogène sur une surface plane et horizontale. Si le
groupe électrogène est utilisé sur une surface inclinée, la lubrification du moteur ne se
fera pas correctement et ceci pourrait entraîner de graves dommages.
• Éteignez toujours le groupe électrogène avant de refaire le plein.
• Ne refaites jamais le plein du groupe électrogène lorsqu'il est encore chaud.

CONSEILS DE SÉCURITÉ
PRATIQUE DE TRAVAIL SÉCURITAIRE
• Évitez les déversements lors du ravitaillement en carburant. En cas de déversement,
nettoyez toujours avant de faire fonctionner le groupe électrogène.
• Eectuez un contrôle visuel pour détecter tout signe de fuite avant d’utiliser le groupe
électrogène. Si vous repérez des fuites, ne l’utilisez pas avant d’avoir réparé l’appareil.
• Gardez les liquides inflammables à l’écart du groupe électrogène lorsqu’il est utilisé.
• Ne fumez pas pendant l’utilisation ou le réapprovisionnement en carburant du groupe
électrogène.
• Conservez toujours le carburant non utilisé dans un récipient approprié conçu pour
cet usage.
• Veuillez porter des vêtements de protection lorsque vous utilisez le groupe
électrogène.
• Certaines parties du groupe électrogène peuvent devenir chaudes lors de son
fonctionnement, veillez à ne pas toucher aux composants chauds.
• Gardez toujours les enfants et les animaux à l’écart du groupe électrogène lorsqu’il est
en marche.
• Nous vous recommandons d’utiliser des protections auditives lorsque vous utilisez le
groupe électrogène.
• Les gaz d’échappement contiennent du monoxyde de carbone hautement toxique.
Faites toujours fonctionner le groupe électrogène dans un endroit aéré et bien ventilé.
Ne le faites jamais fonctionner à l’intérieur.
• Suivez toujours les procédures de manutention appropriées lorsque vous déplacez le
groupe électrogène.
• Ce groupe électrogène contient des pièces mobiles ; veillez donc à toujours attacher
vos vêtements amples ou vos cheveux lorsque vous utilisez le groupe électrogène.
• En dehors de l’entretien et du nettoyage quotidiens, toutes les réparations doivent
être eectuées par un technicien qualifié.
• Reliez toujours le groupe électrogène à la terre avant de l’utiliser. Connectez une
longueur de fil de terre entre la borne de terre du groupe électrogène et un dispositif
de mise à la terre externe ou un piquet de terre.
• Ne connectez aucun équipement au groupe électrogène avant de le démarrer.

MODE D’EMPLOI
PRÉPARATION AVANT LA PREMIÈRE UTILISATION
Pour des raisons de sécurité, le groupe électrogène est livré vidangé de son carburant et
d'huile, et la batterie est vidangée de l'acide de batterie avant le transport. Vous devrez
ajouter du carburant et de l'huile au groupe électrogène et de l'acide pour batterie avant
d'utiliser le groupe électrogène pour la première fois.
AJOUT DE CARBURANT
Utilisez uniquement du diesel. Placez le groupe électrogène sur une surface plane et
dévissez le bouchon du réservoir de carburant. Remplissez de diesel uniquement jusqu'au
repère rouge de niveau maximum. Ne dépassez pas la limite de remplissage du réservoir à
carburant.
AJOUT D'HUILE
L'huile moteur est le facteur le plus important pour déterminer la durée de vie du
moteur. L'utilisation d'une huile de mauvaise qualité ou le fait de ne pas changer l'huile
régulièrement peut entraîner une usure excessive du moteur, voire un grippage du moteur.
Nous recommandons l'utilisation d'huile 15W 40. Si vous utilisez régulièrement le groupe
électrogène dans des environnements exceptionnellement froids (moins de 0 °C), l'huile
de type 10W 20 convient également.
Placez le groupe électrogène sur une surface plane. Dévisser le bouchon du réservoir
d'huile et remplissez d'huile. Vous pouvez vérifier le niveau d'huile à l'aide de la jauge
d'huile. Ne pas forcer ni tourner la jauge dans le moteur.
AJOUT D'ACIDE POUR BATTERIE
L'acide pour batterie est disponible à la vente chez les commerçants de pièces
automobiles. Remplissez la batterie jusqu'au repère de haut niveau. Ne dépassez pas la
limite de remplissage car l'acide pour batterie est corrosif. La batterie devra être en charge
d'entretien pendant env. 24 heures pour être complètement chargé.
PURGE DU SYSTÈME
Une fois que vous aurez ajouté du carburant et de l'huile, vous devrez vérifier si de l'air est
présent dans les conduites de carburant et d'huile. Si une bulle d'air est présente, vous
pourrez purger le système en suivant les instructions ci-dessous.
1. Desserrez l'écrou de connexion entre la pompe d'injection de carburant et la conduite
de carburant / desserrez l'écrou de connexion entre la pompe à huile et la conduite
d'huile.
2. Purger l'air du système.
3. Reconnectez et serrez l'écrou de connexion.

MODE D’EMPLOI
PRÉPARATION AVANT LA PREMIÈRE UTILISATION
NOUVEAUX MOTEURS
Les nouveaux moteurs doivent être rodé. La période de rodage de ces moteurs est d'env.
20 heures. Ne surchargez pas le groupe électrogène pendant la période de rodage, la
charge maximale ne doit pas dépasser 75 % de la puissance nominale maximale. Changer
l'huile après 20 heures de fonctionnement ou 1 mois. Par la suite, la vidange d'huile est
nécessaire toutes les 100 heures ou 3 mois.
VÉRIFICATIONS AVANT CHAQUE UTILISATION
Vérifiez les points suivants avant chaque utilisation pour vous assurer que le groupe
électrogène peut être utilisé en toute sécurité et pour prolonger sa durée de vie.
FUITES - Assurez-vous qu’il n’y ait pas de fuites de carburant ou d’huile. Si vous repérez
des fuites, n’utilisez pas le groupe électrogène.
CARBURANT - Assurez-vous d’avoir suisamment de carburant dans le réservoir de
carburant.
HUILE - Vérifiez que le niveau d’huile se situe entre les repères minimum et maximum. La
Le groupe électrogène dispose d’une alarme de basse pression d’huile et d’une
coupure du moteur. En cas de faible pression d’huile, le groupe électrogène s’éteint
automatiquement pour protéger le moteur contre d’éventuels dommages. De plus, nous
vous recommandons de vérifier régulièrement le niveau d’huile.
ÉCROUS ET BOULONS - Vérifiez si des écrous ou boulons sont desserrés et resserrez-les si
nécessaire.
