• Operate the generator with safe access to electrical power
• Connect to a GFCI type receptacle
• Follow all applicable electrical codes
• Do not bury chord
WARNING: To reduce the risk of electrical shock, please ensure to
replace the damaged electrical chord immediately

• Oxygen Generator/Concentrator:Theoxygengeneratorusesa
PSA(pressureswingabsorption)molecularsievebedtoremove
dirt,moisture,nitrogenandothertracegases,producingoxygen
atgreaterthan90%purityandlessthan-60Cdewpoint.Theair
compressorpumpsambientairintotheoxygengeneratorinputand
thentheoxygengeneratoroutputsoxygen(O2)feedgasintothe
ozonegeneratorcellandenablestheozonegeneratortoproduce
ozoneeffectivelyatupto14%byweightozoneconcentration.In
ourexperience,oxygengeneratorsmanufacturedbyAirSepwork
verywellwithAbsoluteOzone®ozonegenerators.
• Oxygen Filter:ToprotecttheAbsoluteOzone®generatorfrom
sieveparticlesincaseofoxygengeneratorfailureormalfunction,
werecommendinstallinganoxygenlteraftertheoxygengenera-
torandbeforetheozonegenerator

Ozone Injector for Water Treatment Applications (Venturi):Inletwa-
terowsthroughthepumpandthroughtheozoneinjector,creatinga
vacuumthatpullsozonegasfromtheozonegeneratorandinjectsthe
ozonegasintothewaterow.Theinjectorshouldbesizedtodissolve
aminimumof90%oftheozonegasintothewaterowcontinuously.
Ozone De-gas Chamber and Off-Gas Device: Ozoneen-richedwa-
terfromtheozoneinjectorowsintothede-gaschamberwherethe
counter-currentdesignforcesanyundissolvedozonegasthroughthe
oatvalve-protectedtopventtotheozonedestructor.
Ozone Destructor: Undissolvedozonegaspassesthroughtheheated
catalyticozonedestructorthatismadeupofnon-consumablemanga-
nesedioxide(heat-protectedfrommoisturefouling).Themanganese
dioxideandheatofferredundantozonedestructcapabilities.

beinstalledonthewall,ontherackorstackupsysteminconvenient
locationmobilecartorskied.Allowforaccesstoprotectedelectrical
powerandrequiredgasconnectionsandcoolingairtotheOzone
Generator.
DONOTOBSTRUCTCOOLINGAIRVENTSONTHEOZONEGENER-
ATOR.
TheunitcanbeinstalledindoorsoroutdoorsIFprotectedfrom
weatherelements.Ambientworkingtemperaturefrom-10Cto+30C

2C. Plumbing
WheninjectingOzoneintothewater,allmeasuresshouldbetaken
toprotecttheGeneratorCellfromwaterexposure,whichmaycause
internalcelldamage.Asmalltankwith/oranautomaticwaterdrain
system is recommended.

2D. Gas Connections
TheOzoneGeneratorshouldbeconnectedbytubingmadefromma-
terialappropriateforozoneandoxygenapplications.Connectthe
OzoneGeneratoraccordingtoindicationsoninputandoutputbulk-
heads.Alleffortsshouldbemadetoprotectthegeneratorfromexpo-
suretoexcessivepressureuctuations,whichmayleadtothedamage
ofelectroniccircuitryandOzoneCell.Forapplicationswherepressure
uctuationsarepossible,westronglyrecommendtheinstallationofa
buffertankwithanappropriatehi-lowpressureswitch.ItisVERY IM-
PORTANT toprotecttheGeneratorfromanypossiblecontamination
fromtheOxygenConcentratororwaterinjectiondevice,byinstalling
anoxygenmonitorandlterupstreamfromtheGeneratorandan
automaticwaterdraindeviceincombinationwithacheckvalve.The
concentrationoffeedoxygenshouldnotbebelow90%.
2E. Remote Control
AbsoluteOzone®ozonegeneratorsareequippedwithstandard“On/
Off”remotecontrolterminalsthatcanbecontrolledremotelybythe
operator,ambientozonemonitor,orPLC.
Thesecontactsmustbeconnectedtodrycontactsonly(notconnect-
edtoanygroundorvoltagesourceofanykind).

3A. LCD Control Panel Overview
Hereisageneraldescriptionofthecontrollerandthefeaturesitof-
fers:
AllAbsoluteOzone®generatorscomewith4-20mAremotepower
controlasastandardfeaturethatallowsselectingpowergoingtothe
ozonecellthatislaterautomaticallymonitoredandmaintainedbya
controlsystem,regardlessofminorvoltageorpressuredeviations.It
isstandardforallAtlas&Magnumozonegenerators.
Ontopofit,thenewgenerationcontrollerprotectsthegenerator
fromconnectingtoanincorrectpowersource,
·Incorrectwiringorvoltageappliedtotheremotecontrolterminals.
·Incorrectoperatingpressure.
·Ozonecellcontaminationbywaterorsimilar.
·Overheatingorfailureofthecoolingsystem,etc
Inaddition,allAbsoluteOzone®ozonegeneratorshave:
·StatusindicatorthathasNo/Nccontactsthatwillchangethestatus
everytimethegeneratorisnotproducinganyozoneregardlessof
thereason.
·On/Offcontactsthatare“NO”normallyopen.Ifthecontactsare
closedbyanexternaldrycontactrelay,thegeneratorwillmoveinto
standbymode.Oncethecontactsareopen,thegeneratorwillstart
producingozoneagain.

•Inacasewhenincorrectoperatingparametersareappliedtoan
ozonegeneratortheunitisswitchedoffbythecontrolsystemand
theLCDscreenwillindicatewhichoftheparameterscausedthe
generatorshutdown.
•Inasafetyshutdownmodethegeneratorwillbeconstantlymoni-
toringoperatingparametersandthemomenttheyarecorrectedthe
generatorwillrestartautomatically,withoutanyassistance.
•I.e.ifthereisapowerspikeorifthereisapressuredropcaused
bytemporarypowerfailureandinterruptionofoxygensupply,the
momentthepressureisnormalagainorthevoltagesuppliediswith-
intheoperatingrange,thegeneratorwillrestartandwillproduce
ozoneagain.
3B. System Startup
1.MakesuretheOzoneGeneratorenclosureissecurelyattachedto
anappropriateframeorwallOzoneGeneratorsStack.
2.Makesureallconnectionstothegenerator,powerandgasare
madeaccordingtolocalcodesandregulations.
3.Purgethegeneratorwith90%orhigherconcentrationoxygenand
assureafreeowofoxygenthroughthesystemandremovalofcon-
taminants.Conductsystemleaktestapplyingworkingpressure+/-
10%usingoxygenonly.Adjustgaspressureacrossthecellaccording
tospecicationsusingdownstreamControlValve(onowmeter)
andpressuregauge(suppliedbytheinstaller).
4.Plugthesystemintoaspeciedreceptacle.
5.FlipthePowerSwitchintothe“ON”position.
6.Slidethereddotonthepowercontrolsliderupwardstoadjustto
desiredpowerfrom0-100%accordingtosupplied“OzoneGenerator
PerformanceTest”chart.Nowthegeneratorisatoptimum
productionmodeandozoneshouldbeowingthroughthesystem.

3C. System Shutdown
1.Slidethereddotonthepowercontrolsliderdownwardstoadjust
powerfrom0%.(Noozoneisproducedatthistime.)
2.SwitchthepowerswitchtotheOFFposition.
3.Unplugthesystemfromthepowersourceifrequired.
4.ClosedownthedownstreamControlValve(locatedontheowme-
ter-suppliedbyinstaller)toprotecttheunitfromaccidentalooding.
5.Turntheoxygensourceoff.
3D. Standard Operating Procedures
NOTE:Toassurealongtrouble-freeservicelifeoftheozoneGenera-
tor,providethefollowingoperatingconditions:
•Makesurethattheoxygenconcentratorismaintainedproperlyand
isproducingoxygenatgreaterthan90%purityandlessthan-60°C
dewpoint.Checksieveconditionsandreplaceitasoftenasrecom-
mendedbythemanufacturer
•Installanoxygenlterandoxygendryerbetweentheoxygencon-
centratorandtheOzoneGenerator,checktheconditionandreplace
acartridgetoprotectOzoneGeneratorfromsieveparticlesincaseof
oxygengeneratorfailureandmoisture.
•Makesuretomaintainworkingpressureacrossozonecellsasspeci-
edforthegeneratorprotectionandmostefcientozoneproduction.
•Wheninjectingozoneintowatermakesuretoprotectthegenerator
fromoodingbyinstallingadevicecapableofpreventingwaterback-
up.Checkvalvesusuallystartleakingafterafewdaysofoperationin
ozoneandcauseseriousdamagetotheozonecell.Werecommend
usingdevices,whichcouldautomaticallydrainwateroutoftheozone
lineandstopitfromenteringtheozonecell.

4A Preventative Maintenance
Generally,AbsoluteOzone®aremaintenance-freealthoughitisuseful
tochecktheOzoneGeneratorforproperoperation:
1. MakesuretherearenowarningsontheLCDscreen.
2. Inspeccionevisualmentelasconexiones.
3. Makesurethatallairventsareclearofanyobstruction.
Monthly:
1. Makesurethatallsystemequipment(oxygenconcentrator,air
compressor,etc.)ismaintainedaccordingtothemanufacturer
2. Removeandreplaceorcleanltercartridgesandotherdevicesif
installedandrequired.
3. Performgeneralcleaningofcabinetexteriorafterdisconnecting
theequipmentfromtheelectricalsource.
4. Usingclean/drycompressedair,blowouttheinteriorofthecab-
inet,takingspecialcarearoundelectroniccomponentsandwir-
ing.
4B. Troubleshooting
Knowledgeofelectricalapplicationsisrequiredfortroubleshooting.
Contactacertiedelectricianifyouareunsureofyourabilitytoser-
vicetheequipment.Ifanyproblempersists,pleasecall780-486-3761.

Theozonesensordetectedozonecellcontaminationbywaterorpos-
siblysomeotherconductiveliquids.pleaseswitchtheozonegenerator
off,locateandeliminatethesourceofthecontamination.whilehaving
poweroff.runoxygenthroughtheozonecellforseveraldaystodry
theliquidand/orothercontaminantsoutandthentrytorestartthe
ozonegenerator.

Pleasemakesuretherearenorestrictionsontheoxygenlinecoming
totheozonegeneratorandthattheowisonlyadjustedontheozone
lineaftertheozonegeneratortomaintaincorrectworkingpressure,
ifthepressureistoolowduetoincorrectlysetpressureregulatoror
failureofoxygengenerators,pleaserectifytheproblemandtheozone
generatorwillcontinueoperation.
• Syptom (Warning Message): OZONE CELL PRESSURE TOO HIGH
Pleaseadjustoxygenpressureregulatortospeciedpressureandthat
willrectifythisproblemandwarningmessage.
• Symptom (Warning Message): OZONE CELL TEMPERATURE TOO
HIGH
Makesurethattheambienttemperatureintheinstallationroomisbe-
low25c,checkthatthereisgoodunrestrictedcoolingairowthrough
theozonegenerator(notobstructedoneithersideofcoolinggrills).

thecoolingfanfailure,pleasecontacttechnicalsupportforfurtherin-
