Espresso/Cappuccino
Espresso Coffee
Espresso is much stronger and more aromatic than normal coffee and
is drunk out of small cups called espresso cups. It is prepared by forcing
hot water under pressure through ground coffee or pod coffee. This
produces the delightful black coffee with the stimulating effect. Apart
from its characteristic flavour, the hallmark of espresso is the typical
formation of a splendid froth, called crema. This requires a high
pressure and the use of genuine, properly roasted espresso coffee
beans which have been correctly ground.
If you do not purchase ready-ground espresso coffee, grind the coffee
beans in a coffee mill with the setting medium to fine.
•Fill the water tank with fresh water
•Turn the steam tap to the end of the ‘’ direction.
•Then press “1cup/2cup” button to select which coffee will be made.
once to select one cup of powder coffee, same time the green light
will be illuminated. Twice to select two cups of powder coffee, the
red light will be illuminated. Third to select one cup of pod coffee
will be made, the blue light will be illuminated. Press again will shut
off the produce.
•Continue to press “ESPRESSO” button. The pump is then activated.
The “ESPRESSO” light will be flashed. Wait until a small amount of
water flows out. That means that boiler is full.
•Then press “ESPRESSO” button off, As soon as the system has
reached the required temperature, the “ESPRESSO” light will be
off.
•Preheat the espresso cups on the top housing.
•Insert the appropriate filter into the filter holder.

•Fill with one or two measures spoon of ground coffee and press
down the coffee with the measuring spoon; or place a standard
7g/45mm espresso coffee pod in capsule filter. You should select
the correct filter cup from accessory attachments.
•Insert the filter holder and turn it firmly to the right.
•Place one or two espresso cups beneath the filter holder (Place
one cup if using pods).
•As soon as the “ESPRESSO” light is off, Then press “ESPRESSO”
button on.
•When a sufficient quantity has run through (normally one filter
coffee grounds or one pod can make about 60ml coffee), the
machine will be auto shut off the pump. Otherwise you can press
“ESPRESSO” button to interrupt the produce.
•After making the espresso, remove the filter holder and throw away
the coffee grounds or pod.
The following espresso may be prepared by refilling the filter.
Cappuccino
Steam can be used to make the milk frothy for a cappuccino or for
heating liquids. The temperature required to produce steam being
higher than that necessary to make an espresso, the espresso should
always be prepared first, because otherwise the coffee might be burnt.
FROTHING MILK FOR A CAPPUCCINO
When preparing an espresso, this machine can be used to produce
frothy milk to prepare a cappuccino.
•Pour about 200ml of skimmed milk into a small high-sided container,
which will fit beneath the steam nozzle.
•The milk must be nice and fresh and cold, the container must also
be chilled, so do not rinse it in hot water beforehand.
•Press “ESPRESSO” button on.
•Wait until a small amount of water flows out, which means that
boiler is full. Then press “ESPRESSO” button off, the “ESPRESSO”
light will be flashed.
•When the “ESPRESSO” light go off, Turn the steam tap switch to
“PREPARATION” and steam tap in ‘’position. And the
“ESPRESSO” light will be illuminated again.

•When the “ESPRESSO” light go off, Place a container under the
steam nozzle in such a way that it is completely immersed in the
milk.
•Turn the tap slowly to ‘MAX’ direction and hold the container steady
during the operation. The nozzle must not touch the bottom of the
container so as not to prevent the steam escaping.
•Once you have obtained the froth (this may need 10-30s), reset the
tap to the end of the ‘ ’ direction and remove the container.
•Then set the tap to ‘MAX’ direction again for a few moments (with
an empty container under the nozzle) to eliminate the residue of
milk in the nozzle.
•Reset the tap to the end of the ‘ ’ direction.
•When this operation is finished, clean the steam nozzle with damp
cloth.
•For the second frothing milk, repeat the steps.

● Preparing Coffee
The lid of the glass carafe must be properly positioned during the
brewing process.
■ Open the top lid.
■ Pour in the desired quantity of water. Do not fill beyond the MAX
mark on the water container.
■ The divisions on the glass jug and the water level indicator
represent the quantity of fresh water. The eventual amount of coffee
is less , because the coffee meal absorbs some of the water.
■ Put in a filter paper.
■ We recommend using "1 X 4" filter paper. When inserting a paper
filter, make sure the seam is pointing towards the base of the filter
holder. Use your hands to conform the filter to the contours of the
filter basket. This will enable you to achieve better results.
■ Put ground coffee into the filter paper. We suggest using one
measuring spoon of ground coffee for each cup of robust brewed coffee.

After using your coffee machine several times, you can adjust the
quantity to suit your own taste. We do not recommend using coffee that
is ground to a powder-like consistency, as this will prevent water from
passing through the coffee.
■ Close the lid
■ Place the glass carafe with lid in position on the warming plate.
■ Select to press “AUTO/CAFFE’” button once or twice to make coffee
as you want.
Cleaning
■Before doing any cleaning, unplug the appliance and allow it to cool
down.
■The appliance must not be immersed in water for cleaning.
■Wipe the body of the appliance with a damp cloth.
■The water tank must be emptied after use.
■Remove the cup rest grid and clean it.
■Empty the drip tray and clean it.
The percolation head, the filter holder and the filters must be cleaned
after each use:
■First, allow the appliance to cool down, and then wipe the percolation
head with a damp cloth.
■Each detachable element can be rinsed under running water.
■Do not clean the filter holder or the cup rest grid in the dishwasher.
Important: After making frothy milk, clean the steam nozzle
immediately allowing the appliance to produce steam for 1 to 2 seconds.
Then wipe the tip with a damp cloth. If the pipe and the tip have been
completely obstructed, clean these using a needle.
If necessary, nozzle can be unscrewed using the hexagonal key and
unscrew it in an anticlockwise direction. Clean this part thoroughly.
The nozzle must be screwed back on, and do not over tighten.
Warning: Do not remove or assemble the steam nozzle when it is hot.

DECALCIFYING YOUR 3 IN 1 COFFEE CENTER
Over time mineral deposits build up on internal parts of the coffee maker
and effect the operation of the appliance causing the need for
decalcification. The frequency of decalcification depends on the hardness
of you water and how often the unit is used. Indications that decalcifying is
necessary are:
Increased noise during production
Excessive steaming
Longer brewing times
The pumping action stops before all of the water has been pumped from
the water reservoir
If usage is regular, decalcifying should be carried out as follows:
With soft water, decalcify once per year
With medium water, decalcify every three (3) months
With hard water, decalcify monthly
We recommend the use of vinegar for decalcifying.
1. Release all pressure and allow the entire unit to cool down
completely before decalcifying.
Espresso Maker
2. Pour 230ml of fresh, cool undiluted white household vinegar into
the boiler chamber.
3. Following the lnstructions for "Preparing Espresso" run the vinegar
through the espresso making cycle except without the use of coffee
grounds.
4. Place a cup of cool water under the steam wand. When the solution
has pumped through the unit and is at the 2-cup mark on the

espresso carafe, insert the steam wand into the water and open the
boiler valve for 10-15 seconds. Close the boiler valve and allow the
remaining vinegar to be pumped into the carafe.
5. Repeat the steps above twice using clear cool water to rinse any
remaining traces of vinegar out of the system.
1. Release all pressure and allow the entire unit to cool down
completely before decalcifying.
Coffee maker
2. Pour 600ml of fresh, cool undiluted white household vinegar into
the water reservoir.
3. Following the instructions for "Preparing Coffee" run the vinegar
through the coffee making cycle except without the use of coffee
grounds.
4. Repeat the steps above twice using clear cool water to rinse any
remaining traces of vinegar out of the system.
