SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Please read all of the instructions in this manual before installing, connecting and using the
device. This manual provides important advice about installation and use.
The manufacturer reserves the right to change the manual without the obligation to update
earlier versions, except in exceptional situations.
Keep this manual in a safe place for future reference.
This device may be used by children aged 8 and above,
by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, and by people with no experience or
knowledge provided they are supervised or instructed
on how to use the device safely and are aware of the
risks involved. Children must not play with the device.
Unsupervised children must not clean or maintain the
device. Keep the device and the lead away from
children under 8 years of age.
This device is designed for household use. It may also
be used in similar situations, such as:
– commercial kitchens, oces and other places of
work;
– rural dwellings;
– hotels, motels and other residential environments of
the same kind by customers;
– guest room-type accommodation.
While being used, the coee machine must not be
placed inside a cupboard.

Installation:
After removing the device from its packaging, place it on its base in a safe location free from
other devices and objects that may hinder its handling and where it cannot be knocked over
or damaged. Ensure the surface is properly clean, dry and possesses no heating sources.
Before using your device, make sure that the mechanical parts and all of its accessories are in
good condition. If you should have any doubt, do not use the device and contact Customer
Support. This device is considered suitable for use in countries with a temperate climate. It
may also be used in other countries.
Do not use the device outside or where exposed to weather conditions (rain, sun, etc.). Do not
place the device close to or on a hot gas or electric stove or in a hot oven. When used for the
rst time, it is possible that the device will emit an odour caused by the insulation materials
and elements subject to heating. This odour will disappear in a few minutes. Some devices
may show signs of previous use due to strict quality control testing. Install the device
according to the manufacturer’s instructions. If the device is incorrectly installed, it may cause
material damage for which the manufacturer shall not be deemed liable.
Electrical power:
Check whether the electrical voltage at the outlet corresponds with the voltage on the rating
label on your coee machine. Only plug the device into earthed sockets.
Power lead:
Do not turn the device on if the lead or socket are damaged or broken. Call the Customer
Service Line.
If the power lead is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the service provider or
a similarly qualied person to mitigate the risks. In the event of an emergency, immediately
remove the plug from the socket. Do not leave the power lead hanging over a table or counter.
Do not allow the lead to come into direct contact with hot surfaces. To turn the device o,
remove the plug from the socket by pulling the plug. Never pull the lead.
Take the plug out of its socket when the device is not being used or before cleaning.
If an extension lead is necessary, only use one which is earthed.
Risk of electric shock:
To protect people from re, electric shock and injury, do not immerse the lead, socket or
device in water or any other liquid.
Do not touch the lead with wet or damp hands.
The use of accessories not recommended by the manufacturer may cause a re, electric shock
or injury.

Protection of others:
Ensure children are accompanied and do not play with the device.
Children are not aware of the dangers associated with electrical devices.
Keep the packaging materials out of the reach of children.
Do not leave the device switched on unsupervised.
Danger of burning:
Do not touch the nozzle as it may cause burning. Do not touch the inside of the capsule
holder as it may cause burning. Always shut the lever fully and never open it while the coee
is being extracted to avoid burning.
Cleaning:
Turn o the device and leave to cool before cleaning. Do not immerse the device in water!
Clean all detachable parts with water. External surfaces should be cleaned with a damp cloth.
Taking care of the device:
Remove the plug from the socket if the device is not used for a long period of time and keep it
dry and out of the reach of children. Keep it protected from dust and dirt.
Repairs/maintenance:
If the device breaks down and/or malfunctions, disconnect it from the power outlet and do
not try to repair it yourself. Contact Customer Service.
The manufacturer cannot be considered liable for any damages due to improper, incorrect or
irrational usage. In the event of inappropriate use or failure to comply with the instructions,
the manufacturer declines any liability and will cancel the respective guarantee.
Water tank:
Fill the water tank with cold, still drinking water only. Never ll the tank with milk, vegetable/
olive oil or similar liquids. Empty the tank if the device is not used for a long period of time.
Capsule holder:
This machine was developed to extract drinks using Delta Q capsules. Delta Q quality is
guaranteed when Delta Q capsules are used in Delta Q machines.

USING YOUR COFFEE MACHINE

The water level should never be higher than the MAX level or lower than
the MIN level.
Plug the lead into the socket.
Turn the device on by pressing any of the buttons .
Remove the water tank and the lid.
Rinse the water tank before using.
Fill the water tank to the MAX level shown with cold
drinking water only.
Reattach the lid and reinsert the water tank correctly.
Remove the water tank and ll it with water.
2Turn the device on.
Pre-heating:
A white light will illuminate the Delta Q logo;
The buttons will blink in sequence (green colour) for about 1 minute.
Ready to use:
After reaching the right temperature, buttons A, B and C will turn green.
If the milk tank is inserted into the device:
- If the beverage selector is Cappuccion or Latte, button D and selector’s side light are green.
- If the beverage selector is Cleaning, button D and selector’s side light are bule.
If the milk tank isn’t inserted into the device, button D and selector’s side light are o.
First read the SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
FIRST USE OR AFTER A LONG PERIOD OF NON-USE
3Place a cup (min. 250ml) under the nozzle
Repeat this step twice.
4Press the tisane button to rinse the device
If water does not come out, remove the water tank and re-insert it
in its original position.
Repeat this step until there is a continuous ow of water.

USING YOUR COFFEE MACHINE

Never insert ngers or objects into the hole of the capsule holder.
The machine will only extract a coee/ tisane when it has reached the correct temperature.
EXTRACTING AN ESPRESSO/ LUNGO/ TISANE
The cup support can be adjusted according to the
size of cup used.
Place a cup under the nozzle.
Raise the lever all the way up.
Insert a Delta Q coee/ tisane capsule into the capsule holder according
to the shape of the hole.
Lower the lever all the way down.
Raise the lever and insert a capsule.
3Press the button to extract the espresso/ lungo/ tisane.
The preparation of drinks can be interrupted or stopped by
pressing any of the extraction buttons.
Espresso:
- Press button A.
- The lights on buttons B, C and D will go out.
- Button A will start to ash with a green light during extraction.
- After extraction, the machine will return to Ready to Use Mode.
- Standard extraction volume: approx. 30cc.
Lungo:
- Press button B.
- The lights on buttons A, C and D will go out.
- Button B will start to ash with a green light during extraction.
- After extraction, the machine will return to Ready to Use Mode.
- Standard extraction volume: approx. 45cc
Tisane:
- Press button C.
- The lights on buttons A, B and D will go out.
- Button C will start to ash with a green light during extraction.
- After extraction, the machine will return to Ready to Use Mode.
- Standard extraction volume: approx. 180cc
Never lift the lever to open the capsule holder during this process.

Whenever extracting a dierent type of drink (coee/long drink),
rst purge the machine.

STANDBY/ PERSONALISED SETTINGS

If the machine is not used for 3 minutes, the lights
on buttons A, B, C and D will go out. The Delta Q logo
will remain lit with a white light in standby mode.
Press any button (A, B, C or D) to return to the Ready to Use Mode.
The machine will automatically heat up the system.
STANDBY
Removing the drip tray will not wake the device up.
PERSONALISED SETTINGS
If button A is not pressed to stop the extraction process, the machine will automatically
stop when it reaches approximately 75cc.
If no button is pressed for 1 minute, the machine will return to Ready to Use Mode and will
memorise the last volume set.
Programming the espresso extraction button
When in ready to use mode, press button A for more
than 3 seconds.
Button A will light up green and buttons B, C and D will start
to ash green.
Insert a Delta Q capsule into the capsule holder.
Press button A to start the espresso extraction process.
The button A will start to ash.
Press button A again to stop the extraction process.
The machine will memorise the volume extracted.
Button A will then extract this new volume.
After extraction, the machine will return to Ready to Use Mode.
Programming the lungo extraction button
The steps are the same as for predening an espresso.
Press button B instead of button A.
If button B is not pressed to stop the extraction process, the machine will automatically
stop when it reaches approximately 75cc.
Programming the tisane extraction button
The steps are the same as for predening an espresso.
Press button C instead of button A.
If button C is not pressed to stop the extraction process, the machine will automatically
stop when it reaches approximately 200cc.
If button C is not pressed to stop the extraction process, the machine will automatically
stop when it reaches approximately 200cc.

PREPARING A GALÃO - LATTE/ CAPPUCCINO
Pour milk into the milk tank according to the desired amount.
Cover the milk tank with the lid.
Open the milk system door.
Connect the milk tank to the milk system.
Raise the lever to its full extent and insert a Delta Q coee capsule in
the capsule housing hole, in accordance with the housing silhouette.
Completely lower the lever.
Adjust the cup tray. And place a glass of Galão - Latte (black coee
and 3/4 milk) or a Cappuccino cup (with capacity exceeding 190cc)
under the extraction nozzle.
Adjust the selector to the Galão - Latte or Cappuccino position
according to the desired beverage. Selector’s side light is green.
Press button D. It will start to ash with a green light during extraction.
The lights on buttons A, B and C will go out.
After extraction, the machine will return to Ready to Use Mode.
The standard extraction volume: approx. 190cc.
You are recommended to lift the lever again at the end of the
extraction process to release the capsule into the used capsule tank.
Lower the lever into its resting position.

For Galão - Latte, the beverage preparation starts as follows
(rst the coee, and then the milk).
For Cappuccino, the beverage preparation starts as follows

PROGRAMMING THE COFFEE/GALÃO - LATTE AMOUNT
Adjust the selector to the Galão - Latte position.
Button D and selector’s side light is green.
Raise the lever to its full extent and insert a Delta Q coee capsule
in the capsule housing hole, in accordance with the housing
silhouette. Completely lower the lever.
Place a glass of Galão - Latte under the extraction nozzle.
Hold the button D more than 3 seconds, and the button A, B and C
blink.
Press the button D again, thus beginning the coee extraction.
When the coee reaches the desired amount, press the button D.
The machine memorises this coee volume and will start extracting
it until a new programme is set.
Afterwards, the machine pre-heats (approximately 25 seconds).
When it reaches the right temperature, the milk extraction begins
and when the milk reaches the desired amount, press the button D
again. And it return to Ready to Use Mode.
The machine memorises this milk volume and will start extracting it
until a new programme is set.
When in Ready to Use Mode, the milk tank with enough milk is connected to the milk system.

The dierence is the cappuccino starting as follows: rst the milk
foam (the machine pre-heats for approximately 25 seconds. when it
reaches the right temperature, the milk foam extraction begins) and
then the coee.
When in Ready to Use Mode, the milk tank with enough milk is connected to the milk system.
If no button is pressed for 1 minute, the machine will return to Ready to Use Mode and will
memorise the last volume set.
If button D is not pressed to stop the extraction process, the machine will automatically
stop when it reaches approximately 220cc.
If button D is not pressed to stop the extraction process, the machine will automatically
stop when it reaches approximately 220cc.

CLEANING AND MAINTAINING THE MILK SYSTEM

CLEANING THE MILK SYSTEM
Place a tall glass (with capacity exceeding 190cc) under the
extraction nozzle.
Pour enough fresh water into the milk tank and cover its lid.
Open the milk system door.
Connect the milk tank to the milk system.
When in Ready to Use Mode, adjust the selector to the Cleaning
position. Button D and selector’s side light is blue.
Press button D. It will start to ash with a blue light during extraction.
The lights on buttons A, B and C will go out.
The milk system cleaning process begins when hot water and steam
come out (approximately 25 seconds). And this process can not be
stopped.
Afterwards, only the steam comes out (approximately 25 seconds).
This process can be stopped by pressing any of the extraction
buttons.
The machine stops automatically.
MAINTAINING THE MILK SYSTEM
When in Ready to Use Mode, turn o the machine by pressing
button B and C at the same time for more than 3 seconds.
Remove the milk tank carefully.
Detach all the parts of the milk tank.
Rinse carefully any traces of milk with clean water. Immerse all parts
in hot water with detergent for a few minutes.
Rinse with cold clean water and wipe with a clean cloth.
Wipe the inner bottom of the milk system.
The milk tank and its lid are dishwasher safe.
To avoid loss, please install all the parts
in place after maintenance.

Ensure the device is unplugged before cleaning.

liquid. Do not use abrasive or solvent-based cleaning agents.

All of the buttons will ash 3 times.
The machine will return to the factory settings.
After ashing 3 times, the machine will automatically
return to Ready to Use Mode.

PURGING
Place a cup under the nozzle and press the espresso button
to rinse the machine without inserting a capsule. The
extraction will stop automatically. When the LED light stops
ashing, the machine is Ready to Use.
Purging the system frequently ensures the quality of the
extracted drinks and the correct maintenance of the device.

introduced to reduce energy consumption.
This machine complies with European Directive 2012/19/EU.
The packaging and the machine contain recyclable materials.
ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT
Electrical devices must not be disposed of with unsorted urban waste. Use the appropriate
dustbin. Contact your local council for information about available waste collection. If
electrical devices are sent to landll, there is a risk of contaminating the ground water with
hazardous substances which could then enter the food chain and be a risk to health and
well-being.

It is recommended that the machine is descaled every 3 months or after approximately
300 Delta Q capsule extractions.
DESCALING
Follow the safety instructions on the Delta Q descaling kit.
Keep the descaling product away from your eyes, skin, machine and surrounding surfaces.
WARNING MESSAGES
The four extraction buttons will light up red.
Turn o the machine by pressing button B and C at the same
time for more than 3 seconds, wait 2 minutes and turn it back
on again.
If the problem persists, contact Customer Service.

Installation:
Après avoir retiré la machine de son emballage, placez-la sur sa base dans un endroit sûr, à
l'écart d’autres appareils et objets pouvant gêner sa manipulation et où elle ne peut pas être
renversée ou endommagée. Assurez-vous que la surface est bien propre, sèche et ne possède
aucune source de chaleur. Avant d'utiliser votre machine, assurez-vous que les pièces
mécaniques et tous ses accessoires sont en bon état. En cas de doute, ne l’utilisez pas et
contactez le service client. Cette machine est considérée comme adaptée à une utilisation
dans les pays au climat tempéré. Elle peut également être utilisée dans d'autres pays.
N’utilisez pas la machine à l’extérieur ou dans des endroits exposés aux intempéries (pluie,
soleil, etc.). Ne placez pas la machine à proximité ou sur une cuisinière à gaz ou électrique
chaude ou dans un four chaud. Lors de la première utilisation, il est possible que la machine
dégage une odeur causée par les matériaux d’isolation et les éléments soumis à la chaue.
Cette odeur disparaîtra en quelques minutes. Certaines machines peuvent montrer des signes
d’utilisation antérieure en raison de tests de contrôle de qualité stricts. Installez la machine
conformément aux instructions du fabricant. Une installation incorrecte de la machine peut

Alimentation électrique:
Vériez si la tension électrique à la prise correspond à la tension indiquée sur la plaque
signalétique de votre machine à café. Ne branchez la machine que sur des prises de terre.
Câble d’alimentation:
N’allumez pas la machine si le câble ou la prise sont endommagés ou cassés. Appelez la ligne
de service client.
Si le câble d’alimentation est endommagé, il doit être remplacé par le fabricant, le prestataire
de services ou une personne de qualication similaire pour atténuer les risques. En cas
d'urgence, débranchez immédiatement la che de la prise. Ne laissez pas le câble d’alimenta-
tion pendre d’une table ou d’un comptoir. Ne laissez pas le câble entrer en contact direct avec
des surfaces chaudes. Pour éteindre l'appareil, retirez la che de la prise en tirant sur la che.
Ne tirez jamais sur le câble.
Débranchez la machine de la prise lorsque la machine n’est pas utilisée ou avant de la nettoyer.
Si une rallonge est nécessaire, n'utiliser qu’une rallonge avec mise à la terre.
Risque de choc électrique:
Pour protéger les personnes contre les incendies, les chocs électriques et les blessures,
n’immergez pas le câble, la prise ou la machine dans l’eau ou tout autre liquide.
Ne touchez pas le câble avec des mains mouillées ou humides.
L’utilisation d’accessoires non recommandés par le fabricant peut provoquer un incendie, un
choc électrique ou des blessures.

Protection d’autrui:

complètement le levier et ne l’ouvrez jamais pendant l’extraction du café pour éviter de vous
brûler.
Nettoyage:
Éteignez la machine et laissez-la refroidir avant de la nettoyer. N’immergez pas la machine
dans l’eau !
Nettoyez toutes les pièces amovibles avec de l’eau. Les surfaces externes doivent être
nettoyées avec un chion humide.
Entretien de la machine:
Si la machine n'est pas utilisée pendant une longue période, débranchez la che de la prise et
rangez-la au sec et hors de portée des enfants. Conservez-la à l’abri de la poussière et de la
saleté.
Réparations/maintenance :
Si la machine tombe en panne et/ou fonctionne mal, débranchez-la de la prise de courant et
n’essayez pas de la réparer vous-même. Contactez le service client.
Le fabricant décline toute responsabilité en cas de dommages dus à une utilisation inappro-
priée, incorrecte ou irrationnelle. En cas d’utilisation inappropriée ou de non-respect des
instructions, le fabricant décline toute responsabilité et annulera la garantie correspondante.
Réservoir d’eau :
Remplissez le réservoir d’eau uniquement avec de l’eau potable, plate et froide. Ne remplissez
jamais le réservoir avec du lait, de l’huile végétale/d'olive ou des liquides similaires. Videz le
réservoir si la machine n'est pas utilisée pendant une longue période.
Porte-capsule :
Cette machine a été conçue pour extraire des boissons à l’aide de capsules Delta Q. La qualité
