AB UT THIS MANUAL
Purpose
This man al describes the assembly, installation, operation and tro bleshooting of this nit. Please read
this man al caref lly before installations and operations. Keep this man al for f t re reference.
Scope
This man al provides safety and installation g idelines as well as information on tools and wiring.
SAFETY INSTRUCTI NS
WARNING: This chapter contains important safety and operating instructions. Read and
keep this manual for future reference.
1. Before sing the nit, read all instr ctions and ca tionary markings on the nit, the batteries and all
appropriate sections of this man al.
2. CAUTI N --To red ce risk of inj ry, charge only deep-cycle lead acid type rechargeable batteries.
Other types of batteries may b rst, ca sing personal inj ry and damage.
3. Do not disassemble the nit. Take it to a q alified service center when service or repair is req ired.
Incorrect re-assembly may res lt in a risk of electric shock or fire.
4. To red ce risk of electric shock, disconnect all wirings before attempting any maintenance or cleaning.
T rning off the nit will not red ce this risk.
5. CAUTI N – Only q alified personnel can install this device with battery.
6. NEVER charge a frozen battery.
7. For optim m operation of this inverter/charger, please follow req ired spec to select appropriate cable
size. It’s very important to correctly operate this inverter/charger.
8. Be very ca tio s when working with metal tools on or aro nd batteries. A potential risk exists to drop
a tool to spark or short circ it batteries or other electrical parts and co ld ca se an explosion.
9. Please strictly follow installation proced re when yo want to disconnect AC or DC terminals. Please
refer to INSTALLATION section of this man al for the details.
10. F ses (3 pieces of 40A, 32VDC for 1KVA, 4 pieces of 40A, 32VDC for 2KVA and 6 pieces for 3KVA, 1
piece of 200A, 58VDC for 4KVA and 5KVA) are provided as over-c rrent protection for the battery
s pply.
11. GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS -This inverter/charger sho ld be connected to a permanent gro nded
wiring system. Be s re to comply with local req irements and reg lation to install this inverter.
12. NEVER ca se AC o tp t and DC inp t short circ ited. Do NOT connect to the mains when DC inp t
short circ its.
13. Warning!! Only q alified service persons are able to service this device. If errors still persist after
following tro bleshooting table, please send this inverter/charger back to local dealer or service center
for maintenance.

charger to offer ninterr ptible power s pport with portable size. Its comprehensive LCD display offers
ser-config rable and easy-accessible b tton operation s ch as battery charging c rrent, AC/solar charger
priority, and acceptable inp t voltage based on different applications.

Basic System Architecture
The following ill stration shows basic application for this inverter/charger. It also incl des following devices to
have a complete r nning system:
Generator or Utility.

This inverter can power all kinds of appliances in home or office environment, incl ding motor-type appliances

INSTALLATI N
Unpacking and Inspection
Before installation, please inspect the nit. Be s re that nothing inside the package is damaged. Yo sho ld
have received the following items inside of package:
The nit x 1
User man al x 1
Comm nication cable x 1
Software CD x 1
Preparation
Before connecting all wirings, please take off bottom cover by removing two screws as shown below.
Mounting the Unit
Consider the following points before selecting where to install:
Do not mo nt the inverter on flammable constr ction
materials.
Mo nt on a solid s rface
Install this inverter at eye level in order to allow the LCD
display to be read at all times.
The ambient temperat re sho ld be between 0°C and 55°C
to ens re optimal operation.
The recommended installation position is to be adhered to
the wall vertically.
Be s re to keep other objects and s rfaces as shown in the
right diagram to g arantee s fficient heat dissipation and
to have eno gh space for removing wires.

Install the nit by screwing three screws.

Battery Connection
CAUTI N: For safety operation and reg lation compliance, it’s req ested to install a separate DC over-c rrent
protector or disconnect device between battery and inverter. It may not be req ested to have a disconnect
device in some applications, however, it’s still req ested to have over-c rrent protection installed. Please refer
to typical amperage in below table as req ired f se or breaker size.

Please follow below steps to implement battery connection:
1. Assemble battery ring terminal based on recommended battery cable and terminal size.
2. Connect all battery packs as nits req ires. It’s s ggested to connect at least 100Ah capacity battery for
1-3KVA model and at least 200Ah capacity battery for 4KVA/5KVA model.
N TE: Please only se sealed lead acid battery or sealed GEL/AGM lead-acid battery.
3. Insert the ring terminal of battery cable flatly into battery connector of inverter and make s re the bolts are
tightened with torq e of 2-3 Nm. Make s re polarity at both the battery and the inverter/charge is correctly
connected and ring terminals are tightly screwed to the battery terminals.
WARNING: Shock Hazard
Installation m st be performed with care d e to high battery voltage in series.
CAUTI N!! Do not place anything between the flat part of the inverter terminal and the ring
terminal. Otherwise, overheating may occ r.
CAUTI N!! Do not apply anti-oxidant s bstance on the terminals before terminals are
connected tightly.
CAUTI N!! Before making the final DC connection or closing DC breaker/disconnector, be s re
positive (+) m st be connected to positive (+) and negative (-) m st be connected to negative
(-).

AC Input/ utput Connection
CAUTI N!! Before connecting to AC inp t power so rce, please install a separate AC breaker between
inverter and AC inp t power so rce. This will ens re the inverter can be sec rely disconnected d ring
maintenance and f lly protected from over c rrent of AC inp t. The recommended spec of AC breaker is 10A
for 1KVA, 20A for 2KVA, 32A for 3KVA, 40A for 4KVA and 50A for 5KVA.
CAUTI N!! There are two terminal blocks with “IN” and “OUT” markings. Please do NOT mis-connect inp t
and o tp t connectors.

WARNING! It's very important for system safety and efficient operation to se appropriate cable for AC inp t
connection. To red ce risk of inj ry, please se the proper recommended cable size as below.

Please follow below steps to implement AC inp t/o tp t connection:
1. Before making AC inp t/o tp t connection, be s re to open DC protector or disconnector first.
2. Remove ins lation sleeve 10mm for six cond ctors. And shorten phase L and ne tral cond ctor N 3 mm.
3. Insert AC inp t wires according to polarities indicated on terminal block and tighten the terminal screws. Be
s re to connect PE protective cond ctor ( ) first.
→Ground (yellow-green)
L→LINE (brown or black)
N→Neutral (blue)
WARNING:
Be s re that AC power so rce is disconnected before attempting to hardwire it to the nit.
4. Then, insert AC o tp t wires according to polarities indicated on terminal block and tighten terminal screws.
Be s re to connect PE protective cond ctor ( ) first.

5. Make s re the wires are sec rely connected.
PV Connection

CAUTI N: Important
Be s re to connect AC wires with correct polarity. If L and N wires are connected reversely, it may ca se
tility short-circ ited when these inverters are worked in parallel operation.
CAUTI N: Appliances s ch as air conditioner are req ired at least 2~3 min tes to restart beca se it’s req ired
to have eno gh time to balance refrigerant gas inside of circ its. If a power shortage occ rs and recovers in a
short time, it will ca se damage to yo r connected appliances. To prevent this kind of damage, please check
man fact rer of air conditioner if it’s eq ipped with time-delay f nction before installation. Otherwise, this
inverter/charger will trig overload fa lt and c t off o tp t to protect yo r appliance b t sometimes it still ca ses
internal damage to the air conditioner.

When selecting proper PV mod les, please be s re to consider below parameters:
1. Open circ it Voltage (Voc) of PV mod les not exceeds max. PV array open circ it voltage of inverter.

Please follow below steps to implement PV mod le connection:
1. Remove ins lation sleeve 10 mm for positive and negative cond ctors.
2. Check correct polarity of connection cable from PV mod les and PV inp t
connectors. Then, connect positive pole (+) of connection cable to positive
pole (+) of PV inp t connector. Connect negative pole (-) of connection
cable to negative pole (-) of PV inp t connector.
3. Make s re the wires are sec rely connected.
Final Assembly
After connecting all wirings, please p t bottom cover back by screwing two screws as shown below.

Communication Connection
Please se s pplied comm nication cable to connect to inverter and PC. Insert b ndled CD into a comp ter and
follow on-screen instr ction to install the monitoring software. For the detailed software operation, please
check ser man al of software inside of CD.
Dry Contact Signal
There is one dry contact (3A/250VAC) available on the rear panel. It co ld be sed to deliver signal to external
device when battery voltage reaches warning level.

LCD Setting
After pressing and holding ENTER b tton for 3 seconds, the nit will enter setting mode. Press “UP” or “DOWN”
b tton to select setting programs. And then, press “ENTER” b tton to confirm the selection or ESC b tton to
exit.
