BACKLIT ILLUMINATED MUSIC BOX
THIS PRODUCT IS NOT A TOY! Please read this entire instruction booklet before using.
INSTRUCTION MANUAL
1. DESCRIPTION
Thank you for purchasing the BACKLIT ILLUMINATED MUSIC BOX. This item features a wooden keepsake box with IlluminArt background. Music chips
play 50 songs, 25 Christmas songs and 25 year-round songs. This product is not a toy and is not intended for use by children. For indoor and decorative use only.
2. OPERATION
Gently lift the unit from the packaging and remove it from the polybag. DO NOT LIFT THE UNIT BY HOLDING ANY ATTACHED FIGURES OR PARTS.
LIFT FROM BASE ONLY.
A. Place the unit on any flat surface.
B. Remove the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the item.
C. Insert 4 x AA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment as indicated by the polarity.
D. Replace the battery compartment cover.
E. Turn the POWER switch on the bottom of the item to the "ON" position. The IlluminArt lid will light and music will play.
F. Turn the volume control to adjust the loudness of the music. NOTE: WHEN THE VOLUME CONTROL IS AT ITS MINIMUM SETTING, NO MUSIC
CAN BE HEARD.
G. The BACKLIT ILLUMINATED MUSIC BOX plays 25 Christmas songs and 25 year-round songs. Use the song style switch to select Christmas or year-
round songs.
H. To open the music box, lift the IlluminArt canvas lid directly upward away from the base of the music box. Tilt the bottom of the lid toward the base and
gently slide the hinged lid toward the back of the music box base until the lid is in the fully upright and open position as pictured below.
I. The unit will go into “sleep mode” once the song has finished playing.
J. There are three ways to reactivate the lights and music.
1) From the open or closed lid positions, turn the power switch to “OFF” and then “ON.”
2) From the open lid position, gently pull the lid approximately one inch toward the front of the music box base and press back into the fully open
position.
3) From the closed lid position, open the lid as described in step 2H. Once the lid is in the fully open and upright position, the lights and music will
activate.
K. Turn the power to the "OFF" position when the unit is not in use.
3. TROUBLESHOOTING
Your BACKLIT ILLUMINATED MUSIC BOX has been designed to provide many seasons of trouble-free operation. In the event that a problem does occur,
please refer to the following chart for suggested solutions.

4. CARE INSTRUCTIONS
A. Before using or reusing, inspect product carefully. Discard any products that have cracks in enclosure or exposed wire.
B. When storing the product, carefully remove from the current location to avoid any undue strain or stress on the conductors, connections and wires.
C. When not in use, store neatly in a cool, dry location protected from sunlight and heat.
D. If necessary, clean product by wiping with a soft, dry cloth.

SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE. IF SERVICING IS NEEDED, SEND TO QUALIFIED SERVICE PERSONNEL. PLEASE ADHERE TO THE
FOLLOWING:
A. Read Instructions - All safety and operating instructions should be read before the item is operated. Please adhere to the instructions and warnings for your
safety.
B. Water and Moisture - Do NOT put item near water of any kind: a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, on a wet floor or near a swimming pool.
C. Heat - The item should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, hairdryers, heat registers, stoves or other appliances that produce heat.
D. Power Sources - The item should be connected to a power supply only like the one that is specified above.
E. Damage Requiring Service - Have a qualified service personnel service this item when:
1) The battery compartment has been damaged.
2) Objects have fallen or liquid has spilled into the item.
3) The item has been exposed to rain or moisture.
4) The item has been dropped or the enclosure damaged.
5) All troubleshooting techniques have been tried and the item will not work or has stopped working.
NOTE: Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may explode or leak. Do not mix old and new batteries. Replace all batteries at the same time. Do not mix
alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries. Remove fully discharged batteries immediately. Batteries should be recycled or
disposed of as per state and local guidelines.

6. NINETY-DAY LIMITED WARRANTY
Mr. Christmas warrants the original consumer / purchaser of the BACKLIT ILLUMINATED MUSIC BOX that it will be free from defects in material and
workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from date-of-purchase. Any liability of Mr. Christmas under this warranty shall be limited to the repair or
replacement of defective parts without charge if the item is returned with shipping charges prepaid together with proof of date-of-purchase, name and mailing
address of the original consumer/purchaser. This warranty does not cover defects caused by damages in transit, abuse, accident, negligence or repairs made by
others. This warranty gives the consumer / purchaser specific legal rights. This consumer / purchaser may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.
