SPECIAL CORD SET INSTRUCTIONS
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting
fro beco ing entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
An extension cord ay be purchased and used if care is exercised in
its use.
If an extension cord is used, the arked electrical rating of the exten-
sion cord ust be at least 10 a ps and 120 volts. The resulting
extended cord ust be arranged so that it will not drape over the
counter top or table top where it can be pulled by children or
tripped over accidentally.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one is wider han he
o her). To reduce he risk of elec ric shock, his plug will fi in a
polarized ou le only one way. If he plug does no fi fully in he

IMPORTANT
Clean Your Coffee Before Using the First Time
Wash ug, lid and re ovable filter basket in ild detergent and water.
Rinse each thoroughly. Follow steps 4 through 6 below (using water only)
to clean the inside of your coffee aker.

Coffee can be placed in the per anent filter.
Add approxi ately 4 tablespoons or 2 scoops of coffee (use ore or less coffee to
suite your taste). For best results, use drip grind reco ended for auto atic drip
coffee akers.
Re ove the ug lid and fill the ug with cold tap water to the ax fill line. Pour the
water into the water reservoir. Snap the ug lid back on the ug and place on

ON switch. The Mr. Coffee and power light will auto atically shut off
when brewing is co pleted.
6. The Mr. Coffee can also be used to heat water for instant food
and beverages. NOTE: Do no place any hing o her han wa er in he wa er
reservoir. Before aking hot water, clean the filter basket and per anent
filter, (see “Cleaning Instructions” on page 6). Pour water in water reservoir. Place
contents fro instant food or beverage packet into ug. Close the top cover and
press the ON switch.

Cleaning Instructions
Your coffee aker be cleaned when you begin to notice excessive stea ing or the
brewing ti e increases considerably. This condition is caused by a buildup of li e and
ineral fro your water. If the pu ping action stops before all the water has
been pu ped out of the achine, then the appliance requires cleaning.
The frequency of cleaning depends on the hardness of water used. The following table
gives the suggested cleaning intervals.
1.
Place one cup of undiluted white household vinegar and one cup of tap water into
the ug. Pour the water/vinegar ixture into the water
2. Place the ug on the rubber base and press the ON switch.
3. Let all the water/vinegar ixture flow through then discard the ixture.
4. To flush of vinegar, pour a ug full of tap water into the
water reservoir and press ON switch.
5.
Discard water and repeat steps 4 and 5.
Unplug the Coffee before cleaning. The fitter basket, per anent fitter,
ug, and ug lid ay be washed in soapy water and rinsed or washed in the top rack of
your dishwasher. Do not use harsh abrasives on insulated stainless steel ug
odels only). The exterior of the Mr. Coffee can be
wiped with a da p cloth.

Limited Warranty
Mr. Coffee warrants to the purchaser that the PTC Series by Mr.
(except for cord set and ug) are free fro anufactur-
er’s defects in aterial and work anship for a period of one year
fro the date of original purchase when used in co pliance with
directions as outlined in the anufacturer’s instructions, which will
constitute reasonable and necessary aintenance by the purchas-
er.
In case of anufacturer defects in aterial or work anship,
Mr. Coffee agrees to repair (re edy) a defective coffee aker
without charge. The purchaser’s exclusive re edy against
Mr. Coffee shall be for the repair or replace ent of a defective
Mr. Coffee product.
All repairs ust be ade at the authorized Mr. Coffee Service
Center. To locate a Mr. Coffee Service Center, call

su ers. Mr. Coffee shall not be responsible for any repairs per-
formed at any facility which is nor an authorized Mr. Coffee
Service Center.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you ay have
other rights which vary fro state to state. Any i plied warranty
is li ited in duration to the one year provided in this, the only,
expressed warranty. So e states do not allow li itations on how
long an i plied warranty lasts, so the above li itation ay not
apply to you.
In no even shall Mr. Coffee be responsible for inciden al or
consequen ial damages, nor da age due to isuse or the use
of any unauthorized attach ent; nor da age caused by use of an
electrical circuit not specified on the Mr. Coffee product. So e
states do not allow the exclusion or li itation of incidental or
consequential da ages, so the above li itation or exclusion ay
not apply to you.
