3.2. Tripod Preparation
Next is attaching the tripod platform plate to the PTZK-VBx Tripod/Ceiling Plate. Most tripod heads
come with a sliding or quick-lock platform plate as shown on figure B below, and include the ¼-20 or
3/8-16 captive screws to attach the plate to your device. You will need nuts of the corresponding size*
to fix the platform plate to the PTZK-VBx Tripod/Ceiling Plate as shown below.

Note: if you plan to mount the PTZ camera to the ceiling, step 3.2 can be skipped. The PTZK-VBx
Tripod/Ceiling Plate has 4 mounting holes, one in each corner, that you can use to secure the plate to
your ceiling structure. Ensure you are securing the plate properly as the total weight of the PTZ camera
and VB enclosure is significant.
*: if using 3/8-16 captive screws, you will need a low-profile nut to fit in the space allowed.
