IMPORTANT NOTICE
Safety Instructions
1. Before using, make sure the wcs-5 has been placed in a clean smooth surface.
2. Make sure the power cord is plugged into a power outlet and make sure the power
cord is not squeezed or winding.
3. When applying fluid please be careful not to over apply causing the liquid to spill on
the floor or surrounding areas. If a spill occurs wipe it immediately.
4. During operation do not leave the machine unattended.
5. Before turning on the vacuum the record should be in rotation. Vacuum should only
be applied when the record is wet.
6. There are no serviceable parts inside this unit and opening the unit will void the
warranty.
7. The vacuum cycle of this unit should not be in operation longer than 20-30
minutes continuously and should be shut down to cool between cleaning sessions.
Safety Notice
1. When using the record cleaner, do not tilt the brush, to prevent the aluminum part of
the brush from contacting the record surface.
2. Make sure the clamp is firmly pushing down the record, if it is not the record may
stop spinning when the vacuum is applied.
3. The cleaning process of this machine will not repair severe damage and
surface scratches of a record.
4. Be sure to carefully read the instructions of your chosen cleaning liquid prior to use.

Setting up the machine
1. Unpack the machine and put in a stable location.
2. Remove the record clamp from the platter.
3. Suction wand rotates counterclockwise to the reset position.
4. Plug the power cord into the IEC receptacle on the back of the machine.
5. Flip the turntable switch up or down and check if the turntable is rotating. Flip on
the vacuum switch and check that the vacuum is working.
6. Turn off the vacuum and the power switch.

Cleaning a record
1. Make sure the plug at the end of the discharge tube on the back, is tightly inserted
into the tube.
2. Using the supplied brush clean off any lose dirt or dust from the record.
3. Place the record on the turntable and screw down the two parts of the record clamp
until the rubber seal is securely over the record label.
4. Start the turntable. Put the proper amount of cleaning fluid (a squirt or two) on
the surface of the record and use the brush to uniformly spread the fluid onto
the record. Gently hold the brush on the grooves during rotation.
5. Turn the suction arm so that it is over the record and then turn the vacuum switch
to R.
6. Adjust the amount of desired suction with the variable suction knob.
7. At this point, if desired, the turntable switch can be switched to L and the platter
motion will turn in reverse.
8. Allow the suction arm to remove the fluid and dirt from the record surface. When
dry, turn the suction knob to its lowest setting, then switch off the vacuum and
turn the suction arm away from the record.
9. Switch off the turntable and unscrew the clamp.
10. Repeat steps 1 – 9 to clean the other side.

This entitles you to have the Music Hall wcs-5 repaired or replaced, at our discretion, free
of charge for one year after purchase, at any authorized Music Hall dealer, provided the
unit was purchased from an authorized dealer. Your original sales receipt is used as proof
of purchase date. Music Hall can take no responsibility for defects arising from accident,
misuse, abuse, wear and tear, neglect or through unauthorized repair and or adjustment;
neither can Music Hall accept responsibility for damage or loss occurring during transit to or
from the person claiming under the guarantee.
Warranty
Your Music Hall wcs-5 warranty covers parts and labor costs for one year from the purchase
date. After one year, you must pay for both parts and labor costs. The warranty does not
cover transportation costs at any time.
Claims under guarantee
The wcs-5 should be packed in the original packing and returned to the dealer from whom
it was purchased, or to an authorized Music Hall Service Center. It should be sent by a
reputable carrier carriage prepaid. Do not send the record cleaner via USPS (United States
Postal Service). No responsibility can be accepted for the unit while in transit to the dealer,
customer, or authorized service agent, therefore, customers are advised to insure the unit
against loss, damage, or theft while in transit.
