Music Quest, Inc. warrants to the original purchaser that this product, under normal
use, will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one year. During this
period, Music Quest will, at its sole option, repair or replace a product which is
found to be defective.This warranty shall be null and void if, in the opinion of Music
Quest, a product failure is the result of misuse, abuse, modification, misapplication,
or improper connection.
Except as expressly provided above, this product is provided "'as is"' without war-
ranty of any kind. No claim is made formerchantability or fitness for any purpose. In
no event willMusic Quest be liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, or inciden-
tal damages arising out of use of this product.
Since some states do not allowlimitation or exclusion of liability for implied warran-
ties and incidental or consequential damages, the above exclusions and limitations
may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights; you may have
other rights which vary from state to state.
You
must contact Music Quest for prior approval before returning a failed product.
All
such returns must be shipped to Music Quest in protective packaging, with
freight prepaid and adequate insurance. If covered by wattanty, the repaired or
replacement product will be returned to you at no charge via carrier chosen by
Music Quest.

Quick Start Guide
If you're comfortable installing computer hardware and
software and are anxious to use the 8Port/SE right away,
please follow the steps below,
1 Set your computer's printer port for normal printing
operation.
2 Disable your computer's power saving features (typi-
cally required only for notebook computers).
3 Make sure no other devices or drivers use the same
IRQ as your printer port.
4
Turn off power to your computer and all other sys-
tem components.
5 Make sure the 8Port/SE's power switch is in the off
position, then plug in its power adapter.
6 Connect the 8Port/SE to your printer port with the
included cable.
7
Connect your MIDI instruments and other equipment
to the 8Port/SE.
8 Turn on your computer and the 8Port!SE.
9 Start Windows and install the Windows driver from
the 8Port/SE diskette using the Drivers applet in Win-
dows' Control Panel.
10 Install the Patchbay software from Windows' File
Manager by running the SETUP.EXE program on
the 8Port/SE diskette
11 Go to
it!

FCC Radio Frequency Interference Statement
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with
the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15,
Subpart B of the FCC Rules. This equipment generates,
uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy. If not in-
stalled and used in accordance with the instructions, it
may cause interference to radio commUnications.
These limits are designed to provide reasonable protec-
tion against such interference in a residential situation.
However, there is no guarantee that interference will not
occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does
cause interference to radio or television reception, which
can be determined by turning the equipment on and off,
