1 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Please read all warning noces carefully before using the Emperor.
• Read this manual and follow all instrucons carefully before using the Emperor.
• Do not use the Emperor near water or expose to rain or moisture.
• Do not use near heat source such as radiators, stoves and other heat producing devices.
• Read the warning and safety labels aached to your Emperor.
• Do not remove these labels. If you need replacement labels, please call a MWE LAB representave at 1 418 688 7246.
• Never allow children to use the Emperor unsupervised. To do so could result in injury.
• Never use your Emperor without installing your monitor(s) rst.
• Inspect your Emperor for any worn or loose components prior to use. Tighten or replace any worn or loose components prior to use. Pay close aenon to the belts and their
connecons.
• Keep clear from all moving components when Emperor’s upper secon is in upward or downward moon and/or when the workstaon is lng forward or backward.
• Maximum user weight for the Emperor is 300 pounds (136 kg).
• Keep your body weight centered on the Emperor at all me.
• Do not use the Emperor if it is not connected to the power source specied in the user manual.
• The Emperor’s actuators which provide upward and/or downward moon capability for the upper secon/monitors and forward and/or backward lng capability for the enre
workstaon are designed and built to be used for a maximum of one (1) connuous minute. Aer one (1) minute of connuous use, the Emperor’s actuators must stay moonless
and unsolicited for ve (5) consecuve minutes. Over passing this limit or using the Emperor workstaon’s moon capabilies in an excessive way will damage important
components.
• Do not use the Emperor if you are not aware of all the safety precauons of this user manual.

3 UNPACKING 4 CONTENT OF THE BOX
3.1
Remove screws from the Emperor workstaon’s skid using a Philips shaped p screwdriver
and remove the box.

Remove carefully the plasc bag and wrap but leave the black strap that holds the upper
secon down. Move accessory box(es) and moving parts aside.
Do not allow children to play with the plasc bag and dispose of it properly.

5 MOVING THE EMPEROR
5.1
Remove wood pieces on each side of the Emperor.
5.2
From both sides (green dots), li, pull out and place the Emperor Workstaon, on a level
surface, directly on the oor at least two feet (61cm) from any wall, replace, refrigerator,
oven or other electric appliances. Do not place the Emperor workstaon on a stand.
Do not use these parts to move the Emperor, you will damage the Emperor.
At least 3 persons are required to move the Emperor. Cauon, the Emperor is heavy!
While moving the Emperor, always keep the Emperor at level to prevent the upper
secon to move.
You may use these parts to move the Emperor.

6 CENTER MONITOR 7 MONITOR MOUNT
6.1
Install the center monitor on mount using 4x M4 screws. Select the appropriate screw
length. Refer to your monitor user guide for more details about VESA mount installaon.
7.1
Hook up the top of the monitor mount on the designated indents located at the front end
of the top secon.
7.2
Make sure both monitor mount hooks are properly inserted and stable.

Remove the black strap and plasc hooks holding down the upper secon to the base.

Place a screw and nut to secure the mount in place.

Make sure the mount is 100% vercal/upright.

8.1
Hold the aluminum cylinder in place and remove rubber band from belt.
The upper secon has been separated from the central secon to lower down the upper
secon for air shipping. This procedure may not apply to you if the cylinder is already
secured in place.
You may temporarily unghten this screw to
help you move the cylinder in place.
Do not use a cuer, a knife or
any sharp tool, it could damage
the belt and be dangerous.
8.3
Ask a helper to move the upper secon up to allow you to align the cylinder in unused
holes of the upper secon.
8.2
Hold the aluminum cylinder in place and remove screws.

Insert screws removed in Step 8.2 and ghten each one securely into place using provided
tool.
Make sure to ghten each one as much as possible.

Let go down the upper secon gently.

9.1
Unghten right armrest screws, a few turns, to allow the metal plate to slide outward
freely without scratching the surface.
9.2
Repeat step 9.1 with the le armrest.
9.3
Push gently armrests outward.
Do not removes screws.
9.4
Align armrests as shown below.
9.5
Tighten strongly armrests screws in place on both sides.

Never sit on the legrest.
Never move the Emperor with the leg rest, it may damage the mechanism.
10 ADJUSTING THE LEG REST
10.1
Unghten leg rest screws, a few turns, to allow the leg rest to move.
10.2
Gently rotate and align the leg rest to desired posion.
10.3
Tighten screws in place.

Using provided screws and tool, install le lateral wing as shown.
11.2
Repeat step 11.1 with the le lateral wing.
12.1
Install monitor extenders as shown on both side. Tighten screws in order to sll be able to
move the extenders.
12.2
Install the VESA adapter on your right monitor using 4x M4 screws.
Select the appropriate screw length. Refer to your monitor user guide for more details
about VESA mount installaon.

12.3
Install the VESA adapter on your le monitor using 4x M4 screws.
Select the appropriate screw length. Refer to your monitor user guide for more details
about VESA mount installaon.

Align and place the right monitor on the right extender as shown below.

Make sure the brackets on the monitor are securely installed as shown below before
installing them to the mount.

Align and ghten screws and nuts as shown in order to secure the monitor in place.

Adjust the right monitor to desired posion and ghten strongly the extender and VESA
adapter screws.
13.1
Gently connect video cables coming out of the upper secon to your monitor’s video
inputs.
13.2
Connect power cable coming out the upper secon to the provided power cord splier.
13.3
Connect the LEDs from the monitor mount to the upper secon output LED cable.

Repeat step 12.5 to 12.7 with the le monitor and ghten strongly the extender and VESA
adapter screws.

Using provided es, hide and gently hook cables to the monitor mount.

Align, and insert the top le front plate hook into the top le monitor mount indent as
shown below.

Slide boom plate into boom monitor mount indent on both sides.

Bend gently the front plate in order to align and insert the other front plate hook in the
right monitor mount indent.

Align, and install the laptop tray on desired side using provided screws and washers.

Connect provided cables (video and USB) to your computer.
16.2
Connect your Emperor with provided power cable to wall electrical outlet (110-120V or
220-240V) and turn ON your Emperor using main switch.
