How to install the DCS-930L
This document will detail how to install the DCS-930L into your existing network.
Ensuring the irmware remains up to date can assist with unctionality / improved
per ormances as well as adding additional eatures.

1. Connect the included Ethernet cable to the network cable connector located on the top panel at the rear
of the DCS-930L and attach the other end to your network, the network will u ually be a LAN port on your
Router.
En ure to attach the external power upply to the DCS-930L a well.
2. In ert the In tallation CD-ROM into your computer' optical drive and tart the autorun program. You can
al o brow e the content of your computer' optical drive and double click on the "autorun.exe" file a well.
If you have downloaded the Setup Utility from the D-Link Support Knowledge Ba e, and have extracted the
archive (*.zip file), you can al o double click on the "autorun.exe" file a well.
NOTE: For any prompts that require permission to run, it is best to 'Allow', 'OK' and or 'Accept' the files to
run and or be installed
3. Click the Start button to begin the etup:

4. The ActiveX in tall routine will be checked and or in talled for the DCS-930L to run correctly:

6. Under the WPS button creen leave the default option and click Next:
7. U ing the collar ( tand) po ition the DCS-930L for the viewing po ition that you require. Click the Next
button:

8. Thi tep hould already be completed, under Step 1. Click the Next button:

9. The power LED at the back of the DCS-930L hould be green, click the Next button (provided your power
LED i green a well):
10. You mu t click 'Allow acce ' to the following prompt:

11. Click the Ye button to the below illu tration:

13. Once your DCS-930L ha been found, click the Next button:
NOTE: If your DCS-930L is unable to be found this can be the cause of an installed Firewall/Antivirus
application and or a custom configuration change to the Operating System Your computer/router must
allow UDP broadcast connection to search for the camera If this type of communication is blocked then
please disable/uninstall and or configure your Firewall/Antivirus and Computer to allow for UDP
broadcast connections
14. Type in a New Pa word and Confirm new pa word to ecure your DCS-930L Web Configuration, then
click Next:

15. Patiently wait for the DCS-930L to update it' configuration:
16. Under the Wired or Wirele creen you have the option to elect the Wired or Wirele option for the
connection of your DCS-930L. Select the heading which matche your in tallation option ( croll further down
for Wirele ).
Wired Connection:
16a. Leave it on the Wired option and click the Next button:
16b. Go traight to Step 19.

Wireless Connection:
16c. Select the Wirele option:
NOTE: The Setup Utility will automatically earch for nearby Wirele SSID' , however you may al o click on
the 'Re can' button a well.
16d. U ing the dropdown arrow button for 'Select a Wirele Network', plea e elect the Wirele Name or
SSID of your Wirele Acce Point:

16e. Plea e type in your wirele pa word into the Key / Pa word field and al o into the Retype your Key /
Pa word field, then click Next:
16f. Patiently wait for the change to be aved:

16g. Patiently wait for the Loading etting requirement to complete.
17. Unplug the Ethernet cable from the back of your camera. Patiently wait an additional 60 seconds, then
click on the Continue button:
NOTE: When di connecting the Ethernet cable, the power LED will turn Red to Reboot, once rebooted it
hould turn back to green. After 60 econd ha pa ed, now click on the Continue button.

18. Patiently wait for the DCS-932L to re tart and update it device information:
19. It i likely that you don't already have a mydlink account, o let' create one (if you already have a
mydlink account, refer to Step 19a):
You will need to fill in the below requirement , uch a your Email / the Pa word you want to a ign to your
mydlink account / Fir t name and la t name. You will al o need to agree to the mydlink term and
condition , then click on Next.

19a. If you already have a mydlink account, elect 'Ye , I already have a mydlink account' and fill out the
below requirement. Then click Next:
NOTE: Jump to Step 22 if ou selected "Yes, I alread have a m dlink account".
20. Your mydlink account will now be created:

21. An email will be ent to the email addre which you pecified. You will need to check your email inbox
and click on the activation link to fini h activating your mydlink account, then click on the OK button:
22. Patiently wait for the Regi tering proce to complete:

23. Your DCS-930L Setup i now complete. Click on the Fini h button.
24. You have the option to Vi it mydlink now and login to view your DCS-930L, or at a later time:
25. In tallation i now complete. You may login to your mydlink account to view your camera.
