PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Our Ring Booster device Outputs Powerful Australian Ring, on detection of
any ring input. It is ideal for solving the following problems :
 Boosts NBN Ring
Ring Booster will dramatically increase the RING POWER from an
NBN service Modem, allowing devices that would ring prior to the
NBN connection to Ring again.
 Boosting PBX Extension Ring
Ring Booster will dramatically increase the RING POWER from a
PBX Analogue Extension (particularly IP Based PBX Extensions),
allowing devices that would ring prior to the change of PBX to Ring
again.
 Can Also Output Boosted US Style Ring
Ring Booster can also be set to output Powerful USA Ring, on
detection of any ring input, allowing devices manufactured for the US
Market which require a US ring to answer, to operate here.
HOW IT WORKS
Ring Booster has a Telephone Line In Port and a Telephone Line Out
Port. Both ports use the standard RJ11/12 (6 pin) telephone socket.
On detection of Incoming Ring on the Telephone Line In Port, Ring
Booster will immediately Output Boosted Australian Style Ring on the
Telephone Line Out Port, sufficient to typically ring an additional 3 or 4
devices. Ring Booster will cease its Ring Output as soon as :
* A device connected to the TELEPHONE LINE OUT port answers the
incoming call.
* A device connected in parallel to the same TELEPHONE LINE
answers the incoming call.
* Incoming Ring ceases.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Unplug all equipment from the telephone socket to be used.
2. REMOVE the telephone line cord fitted to the TELEPHONE DEVICE
which you intend to connect to RING BOOSTER (unplug it from the new
style modular connection on your device).
3. CONNECT the modular end of this cable to the TELEPHONE LINE IN
Port of RING BOOSTER. Connect the other end of this cable to your
telephone line socket.
4. Using the supplied Modular - Modular line cord, connect the Telephone
Device or Devices which you intend to operate from RING BOOSTER
direct to the TELEPHONE LINE OUT port of RING BOOSTER.
5. Connect the supplied 12V POWER ADAPTOR and switch the POWER
ON. Ring Booster is supplied with a 12VAC/500mA Power Adaptor but
it can also be powered by both 12VAC or 12VDC inputs.
6. Change Dip Switch setting if US Ring output is required (details below).
SETTING US RING OUTPUT
Four Micro Dip Switches are located on the underside of RING
BOOSTER. Switch 2 is used to CHANGE the OUTPUT RING of this
device.
If you require RING Booster to output AUSTRALIAN RING :
Set Dip Switch 2 to the OFF position.
If you require RING Booster to output USA STYLE RING :
Set Dip Switch 2 to the ON position.
Switches 1, 3 and 4 are not used at this time.

WARRANTY
This device is guaranteed against defects from workmanship for a period
of two years (24 months) from the date of purchase.
In the event of failure, you should return the product, along with proof of
purchase date, and a written statement about the nature of the problem.
The obligation is solely to repair or replace the product. The warrantor is
not liable for any incidental or consequential damages due to such defects.
This Warranty shall not apply to any unit which has been subject to
alteration, modification, abuse, negligence, accident, external voltage/
lightning surge or used in any manner contrary to these instructions.
The user is responsible for freight costs to the repair point. The warrantor
will be responsible for freight costs in returning this unit back to the user.
Damage caused to this device or attached equipment, by lightning strikes
or over voltage surge is not covered under this warranty.
