TheNaxerTechLimitedwarrantstothepurchaserthatthisproduct,undernormaluseandconditions,willbefreefromdefectsinmaterialsand
workmanshipforaperiodof12monthsfromthedateoforiginalpurchase.Ifaproductprovesdefectiveduringthiswarrantyperiod,NTL,atits

Thiswarrantyshallnotapplytoanydefect,failureordamagecausedbyimproperuseorimproperorinadequatemaintenanceand care,
alterations, mishandling or accidents. NTL shall not be obligated to furnish service under this warranty to costs incurred for installation, to
correctionofantennaproblems,removalorreinstallationortodamagetovideotapes,discs,speakers,accessoriesorvehicleelectricalsystem.The
extendofNTL’sliabilityunderthiswarrantyislimitedtotherepairorreplacementprovidedaboveand,innoevent,shallthecompany’sliability
exceedthepurchasepricepaidforthisproduct.

Preparations
InordertoinstalltheNTT‐101VehicleTrackingUnitproperly,thefollowingpreparationsshouldbecarriedout:
MakesurethatnoiteminthepackagecontentsismissedbeforeyouinstalltheGPSvehicleterminal.
PrepareoneoperationalGSMSIMcard.MakesurethattheSIMcardcanoperatewithoutPINprotectionandhasGPRSwithunrestricted
Internetaccessenabled(askyourGSMoperatorforGPRSdialuprequirements).EmptytheSMSstorageoftheSIMcardusingoperational
GSMphone.
Testthebasicvehiclesituation(suchaslight,brake,ignition,anti‐theftdeviceandallwiresrelatedtoGPSinstallation.)beforeyouinstall
theGPSvehicleterminal.
InstallationofSIMcardandBackupBattery:
1. Openthebatterycoveronthebottomsideofthedeviceandremovethebattery.
2. InserttheSIMcardintotheSIMholderinthedirectionasshowninpicture.
3. Placethebatteryinthecompartmentandconnectittothebatterycableandreplacethebatterycover.

Installation
TheTrackingUnitcanoperateonboth12V,24Vand36Vwithnegativeearth(Negativetobody).
Beforestartinginstallation,disconnectthevehiclebatteryandobserveothermanufacturerssafetyinstructionsregardingalarmsystems,
airbagsorantitheftradiocoding.
IfyouwanttoinstalltheTrackingUnitinthepassengercompartment,makesurethatallantennacablesandwiringisprotectedfrom
sharpedgesandisroutedinsuchamannerthatitwillnotbepinched.
ThedevicecomeswithGPS&GSMexternalantennas.NotethatGPSexternalantennashouldbefacingtosky.GPSwillnotlockifGPS
antennaisplacedbeneathmetalormetallicglasscoatings.
TheSOSbuttonshouldbeinstalledataplaceonthedashboard.Itshouldbehiddenbuteasilyaccessedinemergencycases.Itshouldbe
placedseparatefromdashboardcontrolsandcaraudiodevices.
Theinstallationpositionshouldbeprotectedfromwater.
Thejointsshouldbebundledwithinsulationtapetoavoidcrushandshortcircuit.
DonotconnectthesparebatterytotheTrackingUnitbeforeyouhavecompletedallelectricalwiringandconnectionstothedevice.
DonotmounttheTrackingUnitorexternalGSMantennainclosetosoundsystem.

AfterapplyingthewireharnesstotheVehicleTrackingUnit,thedevicewillpowerupandautomaticallyattempttoregistertoGSMnetwork.
Providedthatyourvehicleandthedevice’sexternalGPSantennaispositionedinalocationwithclearun‐obstructedviewofthesky,thedevicewill
thenstartscanningforGPSsatellitestoobtainitsfirstGPSlock.Thisfirstfixcantakeseveralminutes.
Beforethedeviceisabletooperateproperly,somemandatorysetupparametersneedtobeconfiguredfromtheControlBasesoftwareorTracking
Websites.

AuthorizeduserscaninterrogatetheTrackingUnittoreceivelocations,streetnamesanddetails.Inaddition,theycanpollandtracktheirvehicles
throughControlBasesoftwareorTrackingWebservicesviaInternetbrowseri.e.InternetExplorer,FirefoxorSafarioronGPRSenabledcell
phones.
VehicleTracking:
FromtheControlBasesoftware,overInternetfromtheTrackingWebsiteorGPRSenabledcellphones,youwillabletoreceiveupdatedGPS
locationsanytimeanddisplaythemonamap,andviewdetailedtrackinghistory,eventandcommunicationreports.
FromtheControlBaseorWebsite,youwillabletosetupTrackingschedulesandviewrealtimemovementforunlimitedtime,inintervalsstarting
from10seconds.
TheGPSodometerfunctioncanbeconfiguredtosendtravelleddistanceforeachtrip(timefromignitionontoignitionoff)ortotaldistance
travelled.
IfnosufficientGSMsignalispresent,thedevicecanstoreupto1000positionsandstatusalertsuntilGSM/GPRScoverageisavailable.Allstored
datawillbereportedassoonasthedeviceisbackonline.
Youwillalsobeabletoconfigurepowersavingmodesaccordingtoignitionofftime,ornocommunicationornomovementisdetected.
Tips&Warnings:
ApplyMinimumdistancecommandtopreventthedevicefromdrainingthebatterywhenthevehicleisn'trunning.Ifyouareparkingthevehiclefor
morethantwoweekitishighlyrecommendedtoapplypowersavingcommands/minimumdistancecommand.
Makesureyourwiringconnectionsaresecure.Thebesttypeofconnectionsisthecrimpontype.Theyaretypicallycalled"buttconnectors"and
requireaspecialtooltomaketheconnectionproperlycalleda"crimpingtool".
UsePlastictiestomaketightgripwhilemountingthedeviceintoyourvehicle.
