Introduction
This is the handling instructions of the support kit for the fixed focus lens NP44ML.
This document describes how to attach the support kit and how to adjust it.
For USA:
About the procedures for mounting the lens unit, please refer to the projector User’s Manual.
For other countries:
To mount the lens unit and the support kit, consult your dealer.

CAUTION
• Afterinstallingthelensunit,besuretosecureittotheprojectorusingthesupportkit.Fail-
ure to do so could cause the lens unit to fall, resulting in injury.

• レンズユニットを取り付けた後は、必ずサポートキットを使ってレンズユニットをプロジェク
ター本体に固定してください。固定しないと、レンズユニットが落下して、けがの原因とな
りま す。

注意
• 安装镜头单元后，务必使用支撑套件将其固定到投影机上。 否 则可能 导 致 镜 头 单元 掉 落，
从而导致人身伤害。
• 在安装镜头单元及支撑套件之前，请关闭投影机电源并拔下电源线。
需要准备的事项
• 十字头螺丝刀
• 对于天花板安装或纵向位置，需要具有足够强度以支撑投影机、镜头单元和支撑套件总重量
的安装支架

Preparation
Return the projector lens position to the home position without the lens mounted.
Fordetailsonconnectingthepowercordandturningon/o,refertotheprojectorUser’sManual.
Connect the power cord to the projector, and then press the (POWER) button to turn on
the power.
Press and hold the ZOOM/L-CALIB button for 2 seconds or longer.
Afterthelensmovementisnished,pressandholdtheSHIFT/HOMEPOSITIONbuttonfor2
seconds or longer.
After the lens movement is finished, wait for 10 seconds or more and then press the (POW-
ER) button twice to turn off the power to the projector.
Remove the power cord from the projector.
準備
レンズユニットを取り付けていない状態で、プロジェクターのレンズ位置をホームポジ
ションに戻します。
電源コードの接続と電源入 /切について、詳しくはプロジェクターの取扱説明書をご覧く
ださい。
プロ ジェクター に 電 源 コ ード を接 続し 、 ボタンを押して電源を入れる。
[ZOOM/L-CALIB.] ボタンを 2秒 以 上 押 す。
レンズの動作終了後、[SHIFT/HOMEPOSITION]ボタンを 2 秒 以 上 押 す。
レンズの 動 作 終了後 10 秒以上待ってから、 ボタンを 2回 押してプ ロジェクターの 電 源を
切る。
プロジェクターから電源コードを取り外す。
准备工作
在不安装镜头的情况下将投影机镜头返回初始位置。
有关连接电源线和开启 /关闭的详细信息，请参阅投影机用户手册。
将电源线连接至投影机，然后按 （电源）键开启电源。
按住 ZOOM/L-CALIB 键2秒钟或更长时间。
镜头移动完成后，按住 SHIFT/HOMEPOSITION 键2秒钟或更长时间。
在镜头移动完成后，等待 10 秒或更长时间，然后按 （电源）键两次关闭投影机电源。
将电源线从投影机上取下。

How to install the support kit
1. Turn over the projector.
Lay down the projector cabinet upside down on a table with soft cloth laid. While doing this,
align the front of the projector with the end of the table.
CAUTION
• Formovingtheprojector,makesureyouhaveatleasttwopeople.Attemptingtomovethe
projector alone could result in back pain or other injuries.
サ ポ ート キット の 取 り 付 け 方
1. プ ロジェクター を 裏 返 す。
やわらかい布などを敷いた台の上に、プロジェクターを裏返して静かに置きます。このと
き、プロジェクターの前面を台の端に合わせてください。
注意
• 作業は 2人 以 上で 行 ってくだ さ い。 プ ロ ジェクターを 1人で 持 ち 上 げ た 場 合、 け が や 腰 痛
の 原 因 となること が ありま す。
如何安装支撑套件
1. 翻转投影机。
将投影机柜倒置在铺有软布的桌子上。 执行此操作时，将投影机的正面与桌子的末端对齐。
注意
• 移动投影机时，请确保至少由两个人进行操作。试图单独移动投影机可能会导致背部疼痛
或其他人身伤害。

2. Fix the adapter to the lens unit.
As describing on the illustration, put the adapter on the lens unit whose protrusions meet with
the screw holes on the adapter and fasten them by 2 screws (M4×10).
NOTE: Do not touch the glass on the lens unit.
2. レンズユニットにアダ プターを取り付 ける。
アダプターを図の向きにして、ネジ穴がレンズユニットの突起に合うように置き、ネジ（M4
×10）2本でしめ付けます。
注意 : 作業中は、レンズのガラス面に触れないでください。
2. 将适配器固定至镜头单元。
如图所示，将适配器放在镜头单元上，其突出部分与适配器上的螺孔相对接，并用两个螺钉
(M4×10) 将其固定。
注: 请勿触摸镜头部分上的玻璃。

3. Adjust the tilt of the lens unit.
Adjust the focus balance at the periphery of the projected image.
Fortableuse:Movethetiltlevertothe“+”position.
Forceilinguse:Movethetiltlevertothe“-“position.
Forotheruses:Movethetiltlevertothecenter(around“T”letter).
3. レンズユニットのチルト調整を行う
投写画面の周辺部分のフォーカスバランスを調整します。
テーブルに設置する場合：チルトレバーを＋の位置に合わせます。
天吊りで設置する場合：チルトレバーを−の位置に合わせます。
上記以外で設置する場合：チルトレバーを中央（Tの文字付近）に合わせます。
3. 调整镜头单元的倾斜度。
调整投影图像外围的聚焦平衡。
对 于 在 桌 上 使 用 ：将 倾 斜 杆 移 动 到“ +”位置。
对 于 在 天 花 板 上 使 用 ：将 倾 斜 杆 移 至“ - ”位置。
对于其他用途 ：将倾斜杆移动至中心（“T” 字 母 周 围 ）。

4. Mount the lens unit on the projector and adjust the lens position
According to the instructions on the projector manual, mount the lens unit onto the projec-
tor.
Connect the power cord to the projector and power it on.
PressandholdtheSHIFT/HOMEPOSITIONbuttonfor2secondsorlongertomovethelensto
the home position for NP44ML.
When the lens movement is finished, wait 10 seconds or longer before turning off the power
and removing the power cord.
4. プ ロジェクターにレンズ ユニットを取り付 け て、 レンズの 位 置を 合 わせる。
プロジェクターの設置説明書に従って、プロジェクターにレンズユニットを取り付ける。
プロジェクターに 電 源コード を接 続して、 電 源を入れる 。
[SHIFT/HOMEPOSITION]ボタンを 2秒 以 上 押 し て 、レ ン ズ の 位 置 を NP44ML のホームポジショ
ンに移動する。
レンズの 動 作 終了後 10 秒以 上経 過してから電源を切り、電源コードを取り外す。
4. 将镜头单元安装在投影机上，并调整镜头位置
根据投影机 用户手册 上的说明，将镜头单元安装到投影机上。
将电源线连接至投影机并开启电源。
按住SHIFT/HOMEPOSITION键2秒钟或更长时间，以便将镜头移动至 NP44ML 的初始位置。
镜头移动完成后，等待 10 秒钟或更长时间。 在此之后，关闭投影机并拔掉电源线。

5. Adjust the support bracket.
Loosen the wing nut on the support bracket and pull out the L-shaped metal fitting.
Rotate the dial to align its hole with its top position.
6. Fix the support bracket to the projector.
As shown on the illustration, place the support bracket and use four screws (M4×10) to tighten
them.
5. サポート金 具 を 調 整 する 。
サポート金具に付いている蝶ナットをゆるめ、Ｌ字型の金具を引き出す。
ダイヤルを回して、開口を上側に合わせる。
6. プロジェクターにサポート金具を取り付ける。
サポート金具を図のように置き、ネジ（M4 ×10）4本でしめ付けます。
5. 调整支撑支架。
松开支撑支架上的蝶形螺母，并拉出 L形金属配件。
旋转拨盘使其孔与顶部位置对齐。
6. 将支撑支架固定到投影机上。
如图所示，放置支撑支架并使用四个螺钉 (M4×10) 将其拧紧。

7. Connect the support bracket to the adapter.
Move the L-shaped metal fitting of the support bracket to meet with the adapter, and insert the
adapter pin into the hole of dial.
When doing this, make sure that the L-shaped metal fitting and the adapter are so securely fixed
that the adapter pin can be seen through the hole of dial.
7. サポート金 具 とアダ プターを 接 続 する 。
サポート金具のＬ字型の金具を動かしてアダプターに当て、アダプターのピンをダイヤル
の開口に入れます。
このとき、Ｌ字型の金具とアダプターが確実に付いて、ダイヤルの開口からピンが見えて
いることを確認してください。
7. 将支撑支架连接至适配器。
移动支撑支架的 L形金属配件，使其与适配器相对接，并将适配器插针插入拨盘的孔中。
在执行此操作时，请确保稳固安装 L形金属配件与适配器，从而可透过拨盘孔看到适配器插针。

8. Tighten a screw to fix the support bracket and the adapter.
Tighten two screws (M4×10) to fix the L-shaped metal fitting and the adapter.
Tighten the wing nut.
This completes mounting the support kit.
After installing the projector, connect the power cord and video cables, and then turn on the
projector.Finally,adjustvariousitems.
8. サ ポート金 具とアダ プターをネジ でし め 付 ける 。
ネ ジ（ M4 ×10）２本を使ってＬ字型の金具とアダプターをしめ付ける。
蝶ナットをしめ付ける。
これで、サポートキットの取り付けが終わりました。
プロジェクターを設置して電源コードや映像ケーブルを接続し、プロジェクターの電源を
入れて各種の調整を行ってください。
8. 拧紧螺钉以固定支撑支架和适配器。
拧紧两个螺钉 (M4×10) 以便固定 L形金属配件和适配器。
拧紧蝶形螺母。
这样就完成了支撑套件的安装。
安装投影机后，连接电源线和视频电缆，然后开启投影机。最后，调整各项目。

Adjusting the vertical position of a projected image (Lens shift)
To shift the lens, loosen the wing nut and screws that were fastened in step 8 for the support kit
installation procedure.
To adjust the horizontal direction, loosen the wing nut
To adjust the vertical direction, loosen the two screws
Fordetailsonlensshiftoperations,refertotheprojectorUser’sManual.
* Tilt adjustment (→Next page) may be required when the vertical direction is adjusted.
After adjusting, tighten the loosened wing nut and two screws.
投 写 画 面 の 位 置 の 調 整（ レ ン ズ シ フ ト ）
レンズシフトは、サポートキット取り付け手順の８でしめ付けた蝶ナットやネジをゆるめ
た状態で行います。
水平方向を調整する場合：蝶ナットをゆるめます
垂直方向を調整する場合：ネジ 2本をゆるめます
レンズシフトの操作については、プロジェクターの取扱説明書をご覧ください。
※垂直方向を調整した場合は、チルト補正（→次ページ）が必要になる場合があります。
調整が終わったら、ゆるめた蝶ナットやネジ２本をしめ付けます。
调整投射影像的垂直位置（镜头移位）
要移动镜头，需松动在支撑套件安装程序的步骤 8中拧紧的蝶形螺母和螺钉。
要调整水平方向，需松动蝶形螺母
要调整垂直方向，需松动两个螺钉
有关镜头移位操作的详情，请参阅投影机 用户手册。
* 在调整垂直方向时，可能需要进行倾斜调整（→ 下 一 页 ）。
调整后，拧紧松动的蝶形螺母和两个螺钉。

Adjusting the focus
Refer to the projector User’s Manual.
Adjusting the tilt
Loosen the two screws that were tightened in step 8 for the support kit installation pro-
cedure.
Use your hand or a Phillips head screw driver to rotate the dial of the support bracket, and
then adjust the vertical focus balance of the projected image.
Tighten the two screws that were loosened in step .
Adjust the focus again and check if you have obtained the best focus balance in the vertical
direction.

チルト補 正
サポートキット取り付け手順の 8でしめ付けたネジ２本をゆるめる。
手またはプラスドライバーを 使 って、サポート金 具 のダイヤルを 回し 、 投 写 画 面 上下のフォー
カスのバランスを調 整 する。
で ゆるめたネジ２本 をし め 付ける。
再度フォーカス調整を行い、投写画面上下のフォーカスのバランスが正常になっていること
を確認する。
调整焦距
请参阅投影机用户手册。
调整倾斜度
松动在支撑套件安装程序的步骤 8中拧紧的两个螺钉。
用手或十字头螺丝刀旋转支撑支架的转盘，然后调整投影图像的垂直聚焦平衡。
拧紧在步骤 中松开的两个螺钉。
再次调整焦点，并检查是否已获得垂直方向的最佳焦点平衡。

Tilt adjustment during portrait projection
If the lens unit tilts downward when portrait orientation is used with the projector installed ver-
tically, follow the procedure below to adjust the tilt.
* The stand that supports the projector is omitted in the drawings for clarity.
Loosen the wing nut that were tightened in step 8 for the support kit installation procedure.
Insert the screw (M4×20) through the screw insertion port on the upper side of the support
bracket.
Turn the screw to adjust the tilt of the lens unit.
Tighten the wing nut that were loosened in step .
ポートレ ート投 写 時 の 傾 き調 整
本機を縦に設置してポートレート投写を行っているときに、レンズユニットが下へ傾く場
合は、以下の手順で傾きを調整します。
※ここでは、本機を支えるスタンドを省略したイラストにしています。
①サポートキット取り付け手順の 8でしめ付けた蝶ナットをゆるめる。
②サポート金 具の上側のネジ挿入口からネジ（M4 ×20）を挿入する。
③ネジを回して、レンズユニットの傾きを調整する。
④①でゆるめた蝶ナットをしめ付ける。
进行纵向投影期间的倾斜调整
在 垂 直 安 装 投 影 机 的 情 况 下 使 用 纵 向 方 向 时 ，如 果 镜 头 单 元 向 下 倾 斜 ，则 根 据 以 下 程 序 调 整 倾 斜 。
* 支持投影机的支架 在图纸中被 忽略，以获得清晰效果。
①松动在支撑套件安装程序的步骤 8中拧紧的蝶形螺母。
②将 螺 钉（ M4×20）插入支撑支架上侧的螺钉插入端口。
③旋转螺钉以调整镜头单元的倾斜。
④拧紧在步骤 ①中松开的蝶形螺母。
