CALI AXIS ALL TUBE AMPLIFIER

CALI AXIS ALL TUBE AMPLIFIER
Congratulations on choosing our Cali Axis All Tube Amplier.
Eight separate modes deliver the elusive creamy gain of the Mk I, the heralded focus of the Mk II, the scooped
Rhythm of the Mk IV, and a modied British lead mode. But these are just a few of the classic sounds at your nger-
tips.
Nembrini Audio have extended the possibility of the original hardware to customize your tone:
• Power amplier section
• 6 guitar effects, delay, modulation, reverb, lters, noise gate and compressor.
• 6 carefully selected cabinet emulations
• 4 of the best mic emulations used in real recording sessions - selectable mic positions with volume and pan con-
trols
• Powerful impulses loader to load your favorite IRs

1 - GAIN : This is by far the most critical and powerful of the controls in Cali Axis. It not only determines the overall
gain amount, shape and sensitivity of each mode, it also functions as a tone control.
2 - TREBLE : As with most tube guitar ampliers, it should be set in moderation, as extreme settings in either low or
high directions can produce an unbalanced tone.
3 - MIDDLE : The MIDDLE control determines midrange punch and boldness in lower gain sounds and a smooth
“vocal” blend in high gain sounds. It can be very effective in acting as a “cut through the band control” in certain situa-
tions.
4 - BASS : This control blends in the lower frequencies. Its’ effectiveness depends on the setting of the TREBLE con-
trol. It should be set with moderation as extreme settings in either low or high directions can produce an unbalanced
tone.

1 - LD1 DRIVE : This is the principal gain control for the LEAD 1 group of circuits. It determines the amount of overdri-
ve present at the most crucial pre-amp tube stage in these three lead modes.
2 - LD2 DRIVE : The LEAD 2 group of modes are post tone control. Therefore, the ne tuning of overdrive must occur
later in the circuit where it can focus on ner increments of gain.
3 - MASTER : Adjust the preamp level.
4 - PRESENCE : This control usually regulates either brightness or negative feedback in the power section of an am-
plier. In the Cali Axis a whole new approach to this traditional circuit was taken.

1 - DYN VOICE : This innovative circuit enabled the Cali Axis one space package to include all the power and sonic
character of the 5 band graphic equalizer found aboard most Cali combos and heads.
Unlike traditional Graphic equalizer, where the whole signal passes through the circuit once it is activated,
the DYN VOICE circuit is an EQ and built in mixer all in one! As the DYN VOICE is increased, the “dry/wet” mix is
increased proportionally.
2 - MODES SELECTION : Select the current mode. By clicking on the LEDs, it is possible to select directly the desi-
red mode.
3 - MODES : The modes are shaped as follow:
• RHY: Green = Vintage Fat Rhythm, Yellow = Modern Bright
• LD1: Green = Vintage Mark 1, Yellow = Gain Boost MK I Lead, Red = Classic British Lead
• LD2: Green = Mid Gain MK IV Lead, Yellow = Classic MKII Lead, Red = Searing MKIII Lead

EFFECT SECTION
In this section you can select, enable and change the order(drag and drop the colored rectangle) of the single FXs.
Please note, it is not possible to drag the Power Amplier before the Pre Amplier.

CALI AXIS ALL TUBE AMPLIFIER
FX - DELAY
1 - SYNC : Activates/deactivates the delay synchronization with
the host DAW tempo.
2 - TIME : Provides adjustment of delay time, when the host
SYNC is on, it will be with time division.
3 - FEEDBACK : This is the amount of the signal that you’d like to
feed back into the input of your delay to create
echoes.
4 - FILTER : This parameter make the delay Lo-Fi.
5 - OFFSET : Create a time offset in left/right delay sections.
6 - MIX : Adjusts the mix of dry input to wet delay signal.
7 - POWER : When on it engages the delay section.

FX - MODULATION
1 - SYNC : Activates/deactivates the modulation synchronization
with the host DAW tempo.
2 - RATE : This sets the rate of the chorus/tremolo effect.
Clockwise rotation quickens the rate and counterclockwise rota-
tion slows down.
3 - DEPTH : This sets the depth of the chorus/tremolo effect.
Clockwise rotation deepens the effect and counterclockwise rota-
tion creates the opposite effect
4 - MODE : Select chorus or tremolo mode.
5 - POWER : When on it engages the modulation section.

FX - REVERB
1 - DECAY : Controls the time for the reections to die away.
2 - LOW CUT : Remove the low frequencies from the re-
verb.
3 - HIGH CUT : Remove the high frequencies from the re-
verb.
4 - MIX : Adjusts the mix of dry input to wet reverb signal.
5 - POWER : When on it engages the reverb section.

FX - FILTER A
1 - TIGHT : Clockwise rotation reduces low frequency content
tightening the low range, suitable for 7/8 strings guitars.
2 - HARSH : Clockwise rotation reduces high frequency con-
tent.
3 - POWER : When on it engages the lter section.

FX - FILTER B
1 - RUMBLING : Clockwise rotation reduces low frequency
content.
2 - HARSH : Clockwise rotation reduces high frequency con-
tent.
3 - POWER : When on it engages the lter section.

FX - NOISE GATE
1 - THRESHOLD : This sets the threshold level where the
noise suppression starts working. Adjust it depending on
the signal level and noise level, and when too low, counter-
clockwise.
2 - RANGE : The gate range is the amount of gain reduction
that the gate produces. Therefore, if the range is set at
0 dB, there will be no change in the signal as it crosses the
threshold. If the range is set to 60 dB, the signal will be
gated (reduced) by 60 dB.
3 - GATE : Adjust the gate speed.
4 - POWER : When on it engages the noise gate section.

FX - COMPRESSOR
1 - THRESHOLD : Controls the compressor’s threshold,
left led indicates the amount of gain reduction.
2 - RATIO : Controls the compressor’s ratio.
3 - ATTACK : Controls the compressor’s attack time.
4 - RELEASE : Controls the compressor’s release time.
5 - OUTPUT : Controls the compressor’s output volume.
6 - POWER : When on it engages the compressor section.

ce, resonance, volume and power to engage it.
MODERN button change the negative feedback in a way to have a more “modern” presence behaviour.
3 - Levels: This section lets you control the level before the plugin process and after all the processing
Input: adjust the input level from minus innite to +12db
Output: adjust the output level from minus innite to +12db
4 - Fix button: By pressing this button, your input level remains the same while changing presets
