Safety Instructions
The NetModule Wireless Routers must be used in compliance with any and all applicable international and national laws
and in compliance with any special restrictions regulating the utilization of the communication module in prescribed ap-
plications and environments.
Use only the original accessories to prevent possible injury to health and damage to appliances and to ensure that all the
relevant provisions have been complied with. Unauthorized modifications or utilization of accessories that have not been
approved may void the warranty.
The NetModule Wireless Routers must not be opened. Only the replacement of the SIM card is permitted.
All circuits connected to the interfaces of the NetModule Wireless Routers must comply with the requirements of SELV
(Safety Extra Low Voltage) circuits and are for indoor use only. Interconnections must not leave the building nor penetrate
the body shell of a vehicle. Possible antenna circuits must be limited to overvoltage transient levels below 1500 Volts ac-
cording to IEC 60950-1, TNV-1 circuit levels using safety approved components.
Use only with certified (CSA or equivalent) power supply, which must have a limited and SELV circuit output.
The NetModule Wireless Routers are designed for indoor use. Do not expose the communication module to extreme am-
bient conditions. Protect the communication module against dust, moisture and high temperature.
We remind the users of the duty to observe the restrictions concerning the utilization of radio devices at petrol stations, in
chemical plants or in the course of blasting works in which explosives are used. Switch off the communication module
when travelling by plane.
You must proceed with increased caution when using the communication module in close proximity of personal medical
devices, such as cardiac pacemakers or hearing aids.
NetModule Wireless Routers may cause interference if it is in the proximity of TV sets, radio receivers and personal com-
puters.
After configuration it is recommended that you should create a copy or backup of the configuration settings that are
stored in the memory of the device. The configuration data can be downloaded using the Web Manager.
Do not work at the antenna installation during a lightning.
Always keep a distance bigger than 40cm from the antenna in order to reduce your exposure to electromagnetic fields be-
low the legal limits. This distance applies to Lambda/4 and Lambda/2 antennas. Bigger distances apply for antennas with
higher gain.
The NB2700 must be used with shielded Ethernet cables.
Consult the manual for the installation. Adhere to the instructions documented in the user manual.

Sicherheitshinweise
Die NetModule Wireless Router dürfen nur in Übereinstimmung mit allen anwendbaren nationalen und internationalen
esetzen und Vorschriften betrieben werden.
Benutzen Sie nur Originalzubehör um Verletzungen oder esundheitsschäden zu verhindern. Nicht autorisierte Änderun-
gen am erät oder der ebrauch von nicht zugelassenem Zubehör haben den Verfall der arantie zur Folge.
Die eräte dürfen nicht geöffnet werden. Nur der Einsatz von SIM Karten ist erlaubt.
Alle an die Schnittstellen des NetModule Wireless Router angeschlossenen Systeme müssen den Anforderungen an SELV
(Safety Extra Low Voltage)-Systemen genügen und dürfen nur in Innenräumen eingesetzt werden. Verbindungen dürfen
das ebäude oder die Fahrzeughülle nicht verlassen. Antennenleitungen müssen auf transiente Überspannungen von
maximal 1500 Volt gemäss IEC 60950-1, TNV-1 begrenzt werden, unter Verwendung von sicherheitszertifizierten Kompo-
nenten.
Die Spannung an allen Anschlüssen ist auf SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage) begrenzt. An den Antennenanschlüssen sind
Transienten bis 1500V gemäss TNV-1 erlaubt.
Benutzen Sie ein CE zertifiziertes Netzteil mit einem SELV Ausgangsspannungsbereich.
Die eräte sind für Innenanwendung ausgelegt. Setzen Sie die eräte keinen extremen Umweltbedingungen aus und
schützen Sie sie vor Staub, Feuchte und hohen Temperaturen.
Wir erinnern den Benutzer daran, die Einschränkungen zum ebrauch von Funkgeräten an Tankstellen, in Chemieanlagen
oder in Anlagen mit Sprengstoff zu beachten. Der ebrauch der eräte im Flugzeug ist nicht gestattet.
Besondere Vorsicht ist in der Nähe von persönlichen medizinischen Hilfsmitteln wie Herzschrittmachern und Hörhilfen ge-
boten.
Die eräte können bei Fernsehern, Radiogeräten und Computern Interferenzen verursachen.
Nach der Konfiguration empfehlen wir eine Sicherung der Benutzerkonfiguration vorzunehmen. Die Konfigurationsdaten
können mit dem Web Manager heruntergeladen werden.
Arbeiten Sie während eines ewitters niemals an der Antennenanlage.
Halten Sie einen Abstand von mindestens 40cm von der Antenne ein, um Ihre Belastung durch elektromagnetische Strah-
lung zu minimieren. Diese Sicherheitsdistanz gilt für Lambda/4 und Lambda/2 Antennen. Für Antennen mit höherer Leis-
tung ist der Abstand entsprechend zu vergrössern.
Die NB2700 muss mit geschirmten Ethernet Kabeln betrieben werden.

Installation
NetModule Wireless Routers are designed for mounting on a panel using through holes or a DIN rail mounting kit or to be
put on a worktop. Please consider the safety instructions in section 2.
NetModule Wireless Routers will only operate reliably over the cellular network if there is a good signal. For many applica-
tions a flexible stub antenna will be suitable but in some circumstances it may be necessary to use a remote antenna with
an extension cable to allow the antenna itself to be positioned to provide the best possible signal reception. NetModule
can supply a range of suitable antennas.
Step 1 - Installing the SIM card
Insert at least a SIM card into the first SIM socket. Make sure the SIM is suitable for data transmission.
Step - Connecting the GSM/UMTS/LTE antenna
Fit a cellular antenna. Contact NetModule for suitable antennas.
Step 3 - Connecting the GPS antenna (if applicable)
Connect the PS antenna cable to the PS antenna connector.
Step 4 - Connecting the WLAN antenna (if applicable)
Connect the WLAN antenna cable to the WLAN antenna socket 'WLAN 1'. In case you require improved reception (' Receive
Diversity'), connect a second WLAN antenna to the socket 'WLAN 2'.
Step 5 - Connecting the LAN cable
Connect one NetModule Wireless Router Ethernet port to your computer using a patch cable.
Step 6 - Connecting the power supply
Connect the smaller end of power supply adapter to the NetModule Wireless Router power socket. Connect the other end
of the power supply adapter to a standard electrical outlet.

Installation
Die NetModule Wireless Router sind für die Montage auf einer ebenen Fläche konzipiert. Optional ist ein DIN-Schienen-
Montage-Kit erhältlich. Bitte beachten Sie die Sicherheitshinweise in Abschnitt 2.
Für eine zuverlässige Funktion über das Mobilfunknetz benötigen die NetModule Wireless Router ein gutes Signal. Für
viele Anwendungen ist eine flexible Stummelantenne ausreichend, aber in einigen Fällen kann es notwendig sein, eine
abgesetzte Antenne mit einem Verlängerungskabel zu verwenden. Die Antenne sollte dann so positioniert werden, dass
der Signalempfang optimal ist. NetModule hat eine Reihe von geeigneten Antennen im Sortiment.
Schritt 1 --- Installation der SIM-Karte
SIM-Karte in den ersten Kartenhalter einführen. Bitte stellen Sie sicher, dass die SIM-Karte für Datenkommunikation freige-
schaltet ist.
Schritt --- Mobilfunkantenne anschliessen
Antenne direkt oder mit Verlängerungskabel am Antennenstecker anschliessen. NetModule bietet eine Vielzahl von ge-
eigneten Antennen für die häufigsten Anwendungsfälle.
Schritt 3 --- GPS-Antenne anschliessen (optional)
Sofern das erät mit einem PS Empfänger ausgestattet ist, bitte eine passende PS-Antenne anschliessen.
Schritt 4 --- WLAN Antenne anschliessen (optional)
Sofern das erät mit der WLAN-Option ausgestattet ist, bitte eine passende WLAN-Antenne an die Buchse "WLAN 1" an-
schliessen. Falls Sie einen verbesserten Empfang ("Receive Diversity") wünschen, schliessen eine zweite WLAN-Antenne an
die Buchse "WLAN 2" an.
Schritt 5 --- Netzwerkkabel anschliessen
Verbinden Sie den ersten Ethernet-Anschluss des NetModule Wireless Router mit einem Computer. Standardmässig ist der
NetModule Wireless Router als DHCP-Server konfiguriert.
Schritt 6 --- Stromversorgung anschliessen
Verbinden Sie zuerst das Kabel des Netzteils mit dem NetModule Wireless Router. Anschliessend das Steckernetzteil in die
Steckdose des Versorgungsnetzes einstecken.
