Soil,air,andwaterqualityisimportantforallindustriesandlifeingeneral.Whenlegislationdoesnotyetrulethe
treatmentofsomeofthesubstancesthatadvancedtechnologyrequires,soundjudgmentshouldgoverntheuseand
disposalofproductsofachemicalandpetrochemicalnature.
Familiarizeyourselfwiththerelativelegislationapplicabletoyourcountry,andmakesurethatyouunderstandthis
legislation.Wherenolegislationexists,obtaininformationfromsuppliersofoils,lters,batteries,fuels,anti-freeze,
cleaningagents,etc.,withregardtotheeffectofthesesubstancesonmanandnatureandhowtosafelystore,use,
anddisposeofthesesubstances.
Helpfulhints
•Avoidtheuseofcansorotherinappropriatepressurizedfueldeliverysystemstolltanks.Suchdeliverysystems
maycauseconsiderablespillage.
•Ingeneral,avoidskincontactwithallfuels,oils,acids,solvents,etc.Mostoftheseproductscontainsubstances
thatmaybeharmfultoyourhealth.
•Modernoilscontainadditives.Donotburncontaminatedfuelsandorwasteoilsinordinaryheatingsystems.
•Avoidspillagewhenyoudrainuidssuchasusedenginecoolantmixtures,engineoil,hydraulicuid,brakeuid,
etc.Donotmixdrainedbrakeuidsorfuelswithlubricants.Storealldraineduidssafelyuntilyoucandisposeof
theuidsinaproperwaythatcomplieswithalllocallegislationandavailableresources.
•Donotallowcoolantmixturestogetintothesoil.Collectanddisposeofcoolantmixturesproperly.
•Theair-conditioningsystemcontainsgasesthatshouldnotbereleasedintotheatmosphere.Consultanair-condi-
tioningspecialistoruseaspecialextractortorechargethesystemproperly.
•Repairanyleaksordefectsintheenginecoolingsystemorhydraulicsystemimmediately.
•Donotincreasethepressureinapressurizedcircuitasthismayleadtoacomponentfailure.
•Protecthosesduringwelding.Penetratingweldsplattermayburnaholeorweakenhoses,allowingthelossofoils,
coolant,etc.
Batteryrecycling
Batteriesandelectricaccumulatorscontainseveralsubstancesthatcanhaveaharmful
effectontheenvironmentifthebatteriesarenotproperlyrecycledafteruse.Improper
disposalofbatteriescancontaminatethesoil,groundwater,andwaterways.NEW
HOLLANDstronglyrecommendsthatyoureturnallusedbatteriestoaNEWHOLLAND
dealer,whowilldisposeoftheusedbatteriesorrecycletheusedbatteriesproperly.In
somecountries,thisisalegalrequirement.
Mandatorybatteryrecycling
NOTE:ThefollowingrequirementsaremandatoryinBrazil.
Batteriesaremadeofleadplatesandasulfuricacidsolution.Becausebatteriescontainheavymetalssuchaslead,
CONAMAResolution401/2008requiresyoutoreturnallusedbatteriestothebatterydealerwhenyoureplaceany
batteries.Donotdisposeofbatteriesinyourhouseholdgarbage.

•Acceptthereturnofyourusedbatteries
•Storethereturnedbatteriesinasuitablelocation
•Sendthereturnedbatteriestothebatterymanufacturerforrecycling

withtheForwardNeutralReversePark(FNRP)pod.
2.Removethesteeringwheel.
3.Removethescrewthatsecuresthetophalfofthe
FNRPpodtothelowerhalfoftheFNRPpod.

4.RemovethetophalfoftheFNRPpod.

5.Inspectthemagnetring(1)forclearanceabovethetop
ofthesteeringcolumn(2)andbelowthesensor(3).
Thedistancebetweenthemagnetringandthesensor
shouldbeequaltothedistancebetweenthemagnet
ringandthesteeringcolumn.Adjustasnecessary.The
clearancebetweenthesteeringcolumnandthemag-
netring(2)shouldbeapproximately1.50mm(0.06in).

6.EnsurethattheFNRPpodisseatedcorrectlyonthe
steeringcolumn.ThetabontheFNRPpodshouldt
intotheslotonthesteeringcolumn.AdjusttheFNRP
podasnecessary.

ingcolumn.
8.Placethesteeringwheelbackontheshaftwhilethe

wheelontheshaft.

engaged.

ChecktheclearanceoftheAutoguidancemanualoverridesensor:Autoguidancesensors-Clearance-Manual
overridesensor(55.680).
NOTE:Performthisadjustmentonlyif:
•thesteeringwheelself-rotateswhenAutoguidanceisengaged,and
•youhavealreadycheckedtheclearanceofthemanualoverridesensor(magnetring).
1.InstallthelatestversionofNAVIIcontrollerrmware
(version3.72orabove)usingservicetool380002422.
2.ConnecttheElectronicServiceT ool(EST)tothevehi-
cle.
3.ClicktheESTicontogetthe“BrandSelection”
and“EquipmentSelection”screens.
4.Onthe“EquipmentSelection”screen,select“In-
tellisteerAutoGuidanceSystemII/PrecisionFarm-
ing/GLOBALPOSITIONINGSYSTEM(GPS).”

IfthemaximumQORCvalueof5hasalreadybeen
reached,continuetoStep15.
15.Inspectthehandpump:
•Forbindinginthesteeringcolumnorbindingatthe
pump-to-columnconnection
•Forinternalleakage
16.Repairorreplacethehandpumpasrequired.
17.Iftheproblempersists,copytheadvancedcongu-
rationle,compressthe.cn1folderfromthememory
deviceintoa.ziple,andattachthelestoanASIST
