Thesafetyfeaturepreventsthetankfrombeingoverfilled,
whichcancausemalfunctionoftheLPgastank,regulator

TheLPgassupplycylindertobeusedmustbeconstructed
and marked in accordancewiththespecificationsforLP –
GascylinderoftheU.S.Departmentof Transportation(DOT)
ortheNational Standardof Canada,CAN/CSA –B339,
Cylinders,Spheresand TubesforTransportation of
DangerousGoodsand Commission .
TheLPgastankmusthaveashutoff valveterminatingin an
LPvalveoutletthatiscompatiblewithaType1.LPgas
supplycylindermusthaveashutoff valveterminatingin a
valveoutletspecifiedforconnectiontypeQCC1in the
standardforcompressed gascylindervalveoutletand inlet
connectionANSI/CGA-V-1asapplicable.LPgassupply
cylindermustbefittedwithanOverfill Protection Device
(O.P.D)TheLPgastankmustalsohaveasafetyrelief
devicethathasadirectconnection withthevaporspaceof
thetank.
Thetanksupplysystemmustbearranged forvapor
withdrawal.
TheLPgastankusedmusthaveacollartoprotectthetank
valve.
Placedustcaponcylindervalveoutletwheneverthecylinder
isnotin use.Onlyinstall thetypeofdustcaponthecylinder
valveoutletthatisprovided withthecylindervalve.Other
typesof caporplugsmayresultin leakageofpropane.
Never connectanunregulated LPgastanktoyourgasgrill.
Thisoutdoorcooking gasapplianceisequipped withahigh
capacityhose/regulatorassemblyforconnectiontoa
standard20lb.Liquid propanecylinder.
HaveyourLPgastankfilledbyareputablepropanegas
dealerand visuallyinspected and re-qualified ateachfilling.
DonotstoreaspareLPgascylinderunderornearthis
appliance.
Neverfill thecylinderbeyond80 percentfull.
Alwayskeep LPgastanksin anuprightposition.
Donotstoreorusegasolineorotherflammablevaporsand
liquidsin thevicinityofthisoranyotherappliance.
Storageofanoutdoorcookinggasapplianceindoorsis
permissibleonlyifthecylinderisdisconnectedand removed

Whenyourgasgrill isnotin usethegasmustbeturnedoff at

and outof reachof children.Disconnected LPgastanksmust

DoNotobstructtheflowofventilationairaroundthegasgrill
housing.Onlyusetheregulatorand thehoseassembly
suppliedwithyourgasgrill.Replacementregulatorsand hose
assembliesmustbethosespecifiedin thismanual.
Theregulatorand hoseassemblymustbeinspected before
eachuseof thegrill.Ifthereisexcessiveabrasion orwearor
ifthehoseiscut, itmustbereplaced priortothegrill being put
intooperation.Thereplacementhoseassemblyshall bethat
specifiedbythemanufacturer.
Pressureregulatorand hoseassemblysuppliedwiththe
outdoorcookinggasappliancemustbeused.Never
substituteothertypesof regulator.Contactcustomerservice
formanufacturerspecified replacementparts.
Thisoutdoorcooking gasapplianceisequipped witha
pressureregulatorcomplywiththestandardforPressure
Regulating ValvesforLPGasANSI/ UL144.
Donotusebriquettesof anykind in thegrill.
Thegrill isdesignedforoptimumperformancewithouttheuse
of briquettes.Donotplacebriquettesontheradiantasthiswill
blockoff theareaforthegrill burnerstovent. Adding
briquettescandamageignitioncomponentsand knobs,and
void thewarranty.
Keepthebackand sidecartfree and clearfromdebris.Keep
anyelectricalsupplycord,ortherotisseriemotorcordaway
fromtheheated areasofthegrill.
Neverusethegrill in extremelywindyconditions.Iflocatedin
aconsistentlywindyarea(oceanfront, mountaintop,etc.)a
windbreakwill berequired.Alwaysadheretothespecified
clearance.
Neveruseadented orrustypropanetank.
Keepanyelectricalsupplycordand thefuelsupplyhoseaway
fromanyheatedsurface.
Whilelighting,keep yourfaceand handsasfarawayfromthe
grill aspossible.
Burneradjustmentshould onlybeperformedaftertheburner
hascooled.
