WARNING: Always switch off the appliance when non-working.
WARNING: Always remove the plug from the socket when not using
the device, when replacing the nozzles or during maintenance
of the device
Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or
serious injury.
The term “power tool”in all of the warnings listed below refers to your mains
operated(corded) power tool or battery operated (cordless)power tool.
Save these instructions for future reference!
Work area
Keep work area clean and well lit.
Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.
Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable
liquids, gasses or dust.
Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust of fumes.
Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool.
Distractions can cause you to lose control.

Electrical safety
Power tool plugs must match the out let. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any
adapter plugs whichhearthed (grounded) power tools.
Unmodified plugs and matching out lets will reduce risk of electric shock.
Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges and
refrigerators.
There is an increased risk of electric shockif your body is earthed or grounded.
Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions.
Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power
tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.
Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use.

Personal safety
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool.
Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or

Safety equipment such as dust mask,non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearingprotection used for

Avoid accidental starting. Ensure theswitch is in the off position before pluggingin.
Carrying power tools with your finger onthe switch or plugging in power tools thathave the switch
on invites accidents.
Remove any adjusting key or wrenchbefore turning the power tool on.
A wrench or a key left attached to a rotatingpart of the power tool may result inpersonal injury.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footingand balance at all times.
This enables better control of the powertool in unexpected situations.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair,clothing and gloves
away from movingparts.
Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair canbe caught in moving parts.
If devices are provided for the connectionof dust extraction and collectionfacilities, ensure
these are connectedand properly used.
The use of these pieces of equipmentreduce hazards caused by dust.
Power tool use and care
Do not force the power tool. Use thecorrect power tool for your application.
The correct power tool will do the jobbetter and safer at the rate for which it wasdesigned.
Do not use the power tool if the switchdoes not turn it on and off.
Any power tool that cannot be controlledwith the switch is dangerous and must berepaired.
Disconnect the plug from the powersource before making any adjustments,changing
accessories, or storing powertools.
Such preventive safety measures reducethe risk of starting the power toolaccidentally.
Store idle power tools out of the reachof children and do not allow personsunfamiliar with
the power tool or theseinstructions to operate the power tool.
Power tools are dangerous in the hands ofuntrained users.
Maintain power tools. Check for misalignmentor binding of moving parts,breakage of parts
and any other conditionthat may affect the power toolsoperation. If damaged, have the
powertool repaired before use.
Many accidents are caused by poorlymaintained power tools.
Keep cutting tools sharp and clean.
Properly maintained cutting tools withsharp cutting edges are less likely to bindand are easier to
control.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and

experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand

Before using the appliance
Check the following:
Make sure the voltage of the appliancecorresponds with the power voltage;
Are the mains lead and the mains plug in agood state: strong, without ravelsordamages.
Caution is advised when using longextension cables
Do not use the appliance under moistcircumstances;
The metal mouthpiece gets hot. Watch outand do not touch the metalmouthpiece;
Prevent damage of the heating element.Do not lock or block the mouth piece;
Do not leave the appliance when switchedon;
When in operation do not point the deviceat people or animals
Never look into the hot air nozzle
Do not use this device in rain or dampsurroundings, or near explosive or flammableproducts.
Do not use the device on or near very dryspots to avoid fire
Always remove the plug from the socketwhen not using the device, when replacingthe nozzles or
during maintenance of thedevice
Do not point the device at the same placefor longer periods of time
Do not hold the device too close to thesurface about to be worked on as the
device can overheat
Pay attention to the direct / indirect workspaceas the heat can ignite flammablematerials, which are
close by but not necessarilyin view
Do not allow the hot parts of the device totouch the cord or other flammablematerials
The device should always be clean, dryand free of grease and oil
Do not use the appliance for purposesother than for which it is intended.

This appliance operates at atemperature of 600 degrees withoutvisible
signs of this temperature (noflames), still there is a chance of firerisk.Watch
out for the hot air streamfrom the mouth piece. This airstream can cause
burns.
When operating the appliance
•If you are going to use the tool,vapours and gas can be released during ashort time. This can be
harmful for yourhealth. Asthmatics can suffer hindrance ofit;
•Before connecting the plug to the mainsvoltage you have to check if the switch isin position “0”;
•Keep the mains lead always away from thenozzle of the tool;
•Keep children and animals away from theappliance if you are using it.
•Keep all parts of the body away from themetal heating head. Do not touch it beforeit is cooled down.
•Carry the appliance by the handle whenthe metal heating head is cooled down.
•Hold the appliance by insulated grippingsurfaces only, because the metal heatinghead may contact
hidden wiring or its owncord.
Immediately switch off the appliancewhen:
•Plug and/or cable are defective ordamaged;
•The switch is defective;
•You smell or see smoke caused byscorched insulation from the appliance.
Electrical safety
When using electric machines always observethe safety regulations applicable in your

safetyinstructions and also the enclosed safetyinstructions.

Replacing cables or plugs
If the power cord is damaged, it must bereplaced by the manufacturer or its
serviceagent or a similarly qualified person, in order toavoid a hazard.
Immediately throw away old cables or plugswhen they have been replaced by new
ones. Itis dangerous to insert the plug of a loose cablein the wall outlet.
Using extension cables
Only use an approved extension cable suitablefor the power input of the machine. The
minimumconductor size is 1.5 mm

. When using acable reel always unwind the reel
completelyInadequate extension cords can bedangerous.If an extension cord is used, it
shall besuitable for outdoor use, and the connectionhas to be kept dry and off the
ground. It isrecommended that this is accomplished bymeans of a cord reel which
keeps the socketat least 60 mm above the ground.

OPERATION
Always use with caution! Do NOTcover the ventilation openings duringuse as
it causes a risk of burns!
Do not touch the hot nozzle!
Temperature settings:
With the temperature switch you can selectfrom two temperature settings. Depending
onthe application, you can use the followingsettings:
Setting I: 50℃(cooling)
Setting II: 600℃
The volume of air in each setting 500L /Minute
To turn on the power:
–Slide the switch (1) to position II, depending on the application
To cooling the device:
–After working with the device at high temperature setting (position II), the device is
getting very hot. So it is suggested to slide the switch (1) to position I,to quickly cool
down the devicebefore turn off and device for storage.
To turn off the appliance:
–Slide the switch (1) to position 0. The unitis switched off.
To install the nozzle:
The nozzles can easily be pushed over the hot air nozzle. Never touch the nozzles during
orimmediately after use of the device. Thenozzles are very hot.
MAIN FUNCTION: WEED BURNER
Assemble the extension handle
The extension handle consists of two parts.Click to connect both parts.
Now attach the extension handle to the device.
Make sure that the extension handle firmlyclicks into position. If using the device as aweed killer you must
use the extension handle.
Hold the weed killer firmly by holding the endof the extension handle.
Use:
•Ensure the extension handle is firmly fixedonto the device and that the device isturned off.
•Install the weeding nozzle (8) to the device.
•Connecting to power supply and insert the plug into the power socket
This product is designed with a cord retainerthat prevents the power cord from
beingpulled loose while using.If using the device as a weed burner you must
make sure the power cord is retained by the cord retainer in the way shown in
Fig. 14before plug into the power socket.
•Check to ensure the nozzle is not blockedbefore turning the device on.

•Set the temperature to setting II.
•Allow the device about 50 seconds to heat up.
•To kill weeds, hold the weeding nozzle overthe weeds for about 5 seconds. Duringthese 5 seconds the
cell structure of theweed is destroyed.As a result, the weeddies within a few days.
•It is not necessary to completely burn theweeds, 5 seconds is more than sufficient.
•For an efficient treatment the weeding nozzleshould be held around 0 to 5 cm abovethe weeds
•The effects are not visible immediately butwill take a while before they can be seen. Itis more of a long-
term effect.
Keep all parts of the body away from the metal heating head. Do not touch it before it is
cooled down.
Carry the appliance by the handle with the metal heating head is cooled down.
Hold the appliance by insulated gripping surfaces only, because the metal heating head may
contact hidden wiring or its own cord.
Keep cable away from metal heating head.
Information about appropriate personnel protection equipment (PPE) while weed burner in operation, e.g.
safety boots,
Inadequate extension cords can be dangerous. If an extension cord is used, it shall be suitable for outdoor
use, and the connection has to be kept dryand off the ground. It is recommended that this is accomplished
by means of a cord reel which keeps the socket at least 60 mm above the ground.
COOLING:
Before turning off the device, it must be cooledfirst. Select temperature setting I for at
leastone minute. The device can be switched offthereafter.
Place the appliance on its kickstand (3) after useand allow it to cool down before storage
STORAGE:
Make sure that the device has completelycooled down before storing.
CLEANING:
Keep the ventilation slots of the machine cleanto prevent overheating of the engine.
Regularlyclean the machine housing with a soft cloth,preferably after each use. Keep the
ventilationslots free from dust and dirt. If the dirt does notcome off use a soft cloth
moistened with soapywater. Never use solvents such as petrol, alcohol,ammonia water,
etc. These solvents maydamage the plastic parts.
