SETUP MENU
Press and hold [MENU]button on Measurement Screen to change options for various
functions.
“

” Marker will indicate option which is selected.
FUNCTION SETTINGS
Up to 10 different Tolerance and R-Zero setting patterns can be stored.
■Model・・・・・・・・・・Specify the setting pattern to use. (0-9)
■Tolerance・・・・・If Tolerance setting is exceeded, line or bubble color in the Bubble Tube Display will change.
■R-Zero・・・・・・・・・ Set the [Zero Time] (1-20 sec.) and [Tolerance] (0~30°) to use after [REL] is pressed when setting
zero.This feature allows zero-point setting even when there is some vibration to surface.
Example : If R-Zero Tolerance is set to 0.05°, and Zero Time is set to 5 seconds:
After pressing [REL], if angle change is less than 0.05° for five consecutive
seconds, the zero angle will be set.
POWER / RESET
■POWER ON / OFF
Press Power Button to turn power ON.
Measurement screen will display. Press and hold Power
Button to turn power OFF.
■RESET SWITCH
To perform system reset, press thin rod into Reset Button
Hole and depress button. This should only be done for
emergency situation such as if Power Button or Menu's
become inoperative as it will turn off power and reset all
functions.
REL/ABS MODE SWITCHING
Press and hold the [REL]or [ABS]Button on the display
screen to change modes.
■ABS Mode
The measured angle is absolute in reference to true
horizontal.
■REL Mode
The measured angle is displayed as the change in angle
from the reference plane.

9, Tolerance and R-Zero values can be stored in each location.

Return to Menu Screen.
Auto Display Off timer can be set to: Disable timer/10sec. / 30sec. / 1min.
Auto Power Off timer can be set to: Disable timer / 30 sec. / 1 min. / 3 min. / 10 min.
Specify display units of mm/m or degrees (° ).
When the message “Touch Calibration Tap Screen” is displayed, press the center of the “+”
symbols to automatically adjust the touch panel.
Set the brightness level of the display.
Change the thickness of the line displayed on Bubble Tube Display of Measurement Display. Press and hold
Bubble Tube Display to switch between circle and line type display.
Press [OK] to confirm, or [ESC] to exit.
Specify angle as 1/10(+XX.X) or 1/100(+XXX.X) for display (applicable on when Degree (°)
units are selected).
Stores settings. Saved values retained even when power is off.
Set the slope direction (±).
Set the horizontal zero point reference for ABS mode.
Settings for output of data to PC when used with dedicated serial cable(sold separately).
Company name displayed.

Set the slope direction (±)
■Normal ....Positive X-axis when right side is tilted up; positive Y-axis when rear is tilted up.
■Reverse ...Reverse of normal setting.
③Touch the screen when prompted: “Please Touch
Screen!”
Acquisition will begin; do not touch instrument body
during acquisition.
④Beep will sound when complete. Rotate instrument
180° and repeat operation as in step ③above for
[XY Rev].
For setting the horizontal Zero-point used in ABS Mode. Follow this procedure to
set the Zero-Point:
①Place instrument on flat surface.
②In Calibration screen, press the [XY 1st] button.
⑤When operation is complete, display will read “XY 1st: OK”, and “XY Rev: OK”.

・At this point, when saved using “Save” option in menu, Zero-point will
be stored in memory.
・Press [Default]to return to factory setting from time of shipment.

※The data output rate can also be set using the PC software that comes with the dedicated cable (sold separately) .
When setting the rate using the PC software, set the instrument output rate to [Polling].
OPERATION
CHARGING
CAUTION
This instrument does not have an absolute horizontal reference point. The zero-point first displayed when instrument is
turned on is not necessarily true horizontal. Please set the zero-point using the following procedure.
●This is a precision instrument; Handle With Care. Do not drop or subject instrument body or measuring surface to
excessive force.
●Protect instrument from water and oil.
●Since the measurement surface (bottom plate)is critical for precise operation, please protect from damage such as
scratches of or dents.
●After use, remove any dust and dirt from unit before returning to box for storage.
●Do not store or use in hot locations, such as in a car in direct sunlight, or near heat sources.
●Dust or contamination on measuring surface may cause scratches, please remove before use.
●The bottom of the instrument contains a magnet, please keep away from sensitive items such as computers or
compass as it may cause a malfunction.
●Please note, instrument surface may be slippery, please use care.
●Use only as directed. Misuse may cause damage or malfunction of instrument.

C: For measurement of relative slope. (For REL Mode measurements)
①Place the instrument on the reference surface and wait for display to become stable.
②Long press of the REL Button will set the display to 0.
Zero-point for comparative measurement is now set.
A:If there is a true-horizontal surface (For REL Mode measurements)
①Place the instrument on the true-horizontal surface and wait for display to become stable.
②Long press of the REL button will set the display to 0.
The horizontal reference point is now set.
B:If there is no true horizontal reference surface available. (For ABS Mode measurement)
①Place the instrument on a stable surface and wait for display to become stable.
②Use the Calibration procedure.
The horizontal reference point is now set.
Instrument has built in rechargeable battery. When battery
is low, please recharge using the following procedure.
①Connect the provided USB cable and adapter to the
instrument.
②Connect adapter to mains supply (AC100
~
240V).
